Has there been any discussion in the dev team regarding facility tier balancing? I'm specifically referring to how dragon/rosewood facilities and core boat parts have such high Sailing requirements there isn't much room to introduce higher tiers in the future, like tier 70/80/90 weaponry/keels, and that's assuming they'd be some kind of PvM loot from new future combat encounters.

My point is that if dragon is the end-all be-all "final" tier for Sailing equipment, that would massively limit future reward space to something like cosmetics or pre-kitted bottled boats (or facility bottles, I guess), at least without lifting the level cap to 120.

On the other hand I do understand that re-doing the current tiers to 60 Sailing for dragon (for example) would at this point be quite unreasonable. I just want to know if, again, there's been any related discussions on this topic.

I mean levels are just so fast with 99 as the level cap. Everytime they add stuff to skills, its squished somewhere lol.

I feel like the upgrades are in a good spot right now in terms of being a 1-99 clear progression system.

I reckon any additional upgrades 3 years down the line will just end up being side-grades that have their own pros and cons because the current system is just way too perfectly linear.

So maybe like a level 85 hull that is tankier and offers higher HP but has a lower max speed than the Ironwood hull, or a level 60 hull that moves faster and makes speed boosts or wind motes last longer but is as slow as an oak hull when not affected by any speed boosters.

And then when it comes to keels, you could have different effects like a Saradominist keel at level 88 that increases your ship's flat armor by 24 but prevents combat or a Zamorakian keel that increases cannon attack speeds but provides no damage reduction.

Point is, there's a lot of room for upgrades beyond the level system.
