I made some broth popsicles for Lapo—about 120g each. Of course, instead of licking it, he tried to devour it in a single bite, so I gave it to him in pieces. I was worried he might get indigestion if he ate the whole thing. Especially with the weather being so hot, I didn't want to risk doing something stupid. Does that make sense, or was I worrying over nothing?

I currently have two dogs and although nothing is actually set in stone, I’m just researching breeds I’m interested in for a potential third family member in a few years. Both my other dogs are rescues, one male and one female. During my research, I’ve learned Mals are prone to same sex aggression but a lot of people seem to disagree on how common/rare it is. Obviously, due to me having one female and one male dog already, this could be an issue.

I’m just curious really, if these dogs were bred to work in groups to mush heavy weight together, why are they prone to same sex aggression? You would think if they were bred to work in groups of other dogs, that would be a huge issue

My malamute is a sweetheart but can be very skiddish with people. However it seems she has an aversion with kids and nipped at my nephew the other day which is totally out of character for her as she has never bitten or shown aggression to any one. Any tips to get her used to kids?

We have Georgia, our 13 month old female malamute (pure breed). I am expecting a newborn to be joining us in the next couple of weeks and I've been watching videos about introducing dogs to babies, but thought I'd also ask this community directly if there's anything specific to Mals we should be aware of? 2 Malamurptes brushing. 20 minutes and 10 gallon trash filled up. I was tormented. 2 brushes 2 malamutes both demanding they get brushed first. No jealousy just attention liking the brushes. Buying a second brush was good but more difficult. But gotta love them anyhow.

We adopted a Malamute and want to get the right brushes for coat care. Do you have any recommendations on which brushes, shampoo, or other grooming tools we should buy?

He's 8 months old and already our biggest dog. I havent posted on here yet because he does not have many obvious visual malamute traits, but he is very much a goof like his dad.

Just wondering why the average adult male malamute weight on google is so inflated? If the working line standard is around 38-40kg as mine is 39kg and vets say he is the leanest malamute they’ve seen?

I assumed she's malamute, and also assuming she's cca 2 years old.

Is it normal for coats to change that much, color and length?

We adopted this hunky boy in January and don’t know if he’s mal 100%. He’s 80lbs @ 10 months and very tall. Sweetest personality out there. Feel so lucky to share a life with him.

Was brushing them this morning. My larger 118 lbs likes to paw me each time I stop. But I need keep the brush clean. Both like the brushes I use and I use 2 brushes same time. But its a chore and a half. Brush, clean brush while getting pawed and repeat. But I love them so much.
