I’d like to connect with people who are interested in having real, constructive discussions about the upcoming municipal elections in Algeria.

I’m especially looking for positive, aware and motivated people, particularly young people, who don’t just want to complain about the situation but are actually willing to get involved and do something about it.

My idea is to start organizing ourselves around our APCs.

Let’s identify the real problems in each APC, understand what the APC can actually do, look at its responsibilities and limits, and build a proper electoral programme based on the actual needs of the people.

Then we can find people from the same APC who are willing and legally eligible to run, while also involving everyone else who wants to contribute. You don’t necessarily have to be old enough to stand as a candidate to take part in the discussions, research, programme development or organization.

I’m also looking specifically for young people who are legally eligible to run for office and would genuinely consider putting themselves forward.

The idea isn’t to create another group around personalities or empty political slogans. I want to see whether we can actually organize ourselves, APC by APC, develop serious programmes and find people who are willing to take responsibility and represent their own communities.

Hello , so for 2 years so far i've been suffering from dry eyes syndrome but i didnt knew the cause , i went to several ophthalmologists and all told me to reduce screen time as it is the main cause for my problem. The thing is even woth 0 screen time for days things only get worse especially when i wake up with very dry eyes. Until my family found out that when i sleep i sleep with my eyes half open.... . Now the main problem is that i started searching for night time eye medicine ( Hylo Night , Optase , Systane gel ...etc ) for this specific issue i am struggling with but Algeria pharmacies do not provide them. I searched for medical tape special for taping the eyelids to keep them closed but also Algerian pharmacies do not provide that either. It seems i am stuck with this problem even thought there is so many solutions to it but non availabe here.... i need help if anyone knows a pharmacy that provides such medical products.

So, considering the recent sad events that have not just been occurring, but re-occurring every two years or less ,mostly because these fires are 100% intentional. It has been proven over and over again, and the perpetrators are being exposed everywhere as they try to destroy the evidence of their crimes. However, my focus is not on the criminals at the moment, because there is nothing I personally can do except pray that they face the consequences.

What I've been thinking about instead is whether there are ways to make these fires less likely to ever spread this big again. Of course, this idea is just a random thought I had. I don't have the data to back it up, and I don't know if it is physically possible to make it happen. This is why I'm here looking for answers.

We can all agree that there is nothing more destructive than watching life be burned to ashes as if it never existed.

They are also much harder to contain when they happen in the wild. The time it takes for help to arrive, the wind shifts, the poor phone signal, and especially how fast fire spreads through a forest all make it an absolute challenge often something almost impossible to contain.

So, I was wondering: is it possible to install An automated sprinkler or hosing system in these forests to monitor, detect, and automatically put out any fire right as it starts, in real time, before it spreads to other sections?

So Instead of having to face the nightmare of trying to put out an entire burning mountain, we could tackle the problem dead-on the second it starts, preventing the situation from escalating before it's too late.

I'm curious about the alternative and goth scene in Algeria. Beyond just the fashion and dark makeup, is there a genuine subculture here tied to music (like post-punk or darkwave), art, or literature? How do Algerian girls who identify with this scene navigate it in daily life?

Data clearly proves that the mere existence of the death penalty has failed to stop the crime rates from rising or prevent devastating wildfires over the last 30 years. Instead, the ruling elite uses capital punishment as a political smoke screen...

The death penalty is proven to be ineffective and does not solve systemic issues. There is no evidence that the death penalty is an effective deterrent to crime. Many murders or crimes take place when the perpetrators are under great emotional stress, or under the influence of drugs – times when they are not considering the consequences. Research has consistently shown that the death penalty does not deter crime more effectively than other punishments.

A 1988 United Nations research report found:

“…it is not prudent to accept the hypothesis that capital punishment deters murder to a marginally greater extent than does the threat and application of the supposedly lesser punishment of life imprisonment”.

Canada abolished the death penalty for murder in 1976. In the 30 years after abolition, the homicide rate actually dropped by 40 percent. If the death penalty was a real deterrent, stopping it would have caused murders to go up—but the exact opposite happened. Research from other countries has failed to show that repealing the death penalty causes an increase in crime rates.

The use of the death penalty cannot be credited with making societies any safer. The real main issue is an inefficient, centralized system, a lack of prevention, insufficient fire watches, the government is completely unprepared. Instead of building functional decentralized regional structures, everything is controlled from the top down, leaving local communities defenseless against crises like wildfires. Furthermore, Algeria is a textbook example of a rich country with a poor population. While the centralized elite controls billions in oil and gas revenues, 43% of households have at least one child either not in education or training, or without the mandated nine years of free education, according to the Economic Research Forum (ERF), left completely vulnerable to economic crises. Youth unemployment stands at a staggering 30 percent, forcing many into the informal sector or desperation. The Algerian government operates as a centralized rentier state. Over 90 percent of national export earnings come directly from state-controlled oil and gas exports. The ruling elite does not rely on the economic productivity or taxes of the citizens to remain wealthy. Therefore, the state has no incentive to build a diversified economy or create real jobs.

Instead of flowing into the citizens and general economy of Algeria, only 34% of Algerians are considered 'thriving' in life. This means that a staggering two-thirds of the population 66% are either struggling or suffering, viewing their current situation and future prospects with deep uncertainty under the current system. (Gallup Report 2026)

The leadership is run by an outdated elite that continuously acts against the Algerian Constitution, national sovereignty belongs exclusively to the people, and the people are the source of all power. Yet, the current leadership fails to represent this will. A prime example of this failure is the recent directive by President Tebboune ordering an amendment to the penal code to enforce the death penalty for arsonists. This is a reactionary measure that ignores scientific consensus.

Instead of wasting resources on populist punishments, the state must invest its vast national wealth into sustainable development for the citizens, education, building functional decentralized regional structures, modern defense infrastructure and proactive environmental prevention. Most importantly, the government must prioritize that the sovereignty and the source of all power belongs to the people, long-term social security for the citizens and create meaningful employment opportunities for the youth. Algeria needs comprehensive, fact-based progression that uplifts its citizens, while strictly adhering to the constitution.

Hello, my Facebook account got restricted suddenly (due to ads), I didn't post anything on it since 2017, I only use messenger. There was button to appeal which I did, uploaded a selfie, went fine. Then they asked for a legal document, I chose the ID and took a picture, I instantly receive an email that says "We can't give you access until we receive an accepted form of ID...", and on the app it gets back to the button where I need to submit a document.

Can someone please help me with this? or if you guys know who can? i need the account and I'm really frustrated.

Notes:

- The family name on my Facebook is only two letters (a short form of my full family name) unlike on the ID

- I waited more than 10 days to try another submission attempt, same result
