Harassed by local?
Just moved to Almonte in a new house. We were out walking on the week-end and someone who was driving through was all angry about this subdivision and stopped us on our walk, asked us if we bought one of these new homes. We thought they were interested in talking about it, instead they told us that we’re ruining Almonte, turning it into Ottawa and that if we wanted a brand new home, we should have looked elsewhere.
He then drove away..
I later saw in one of the Facebook groups that others were complaining about this too(people moving to Almonte). Is this going to be a problem for us living here? Is nobody allowed to move to Almonte?

Does anyone know the business name of the lady who sells cordials at the farmers market?
I bought some while visiting and it was so good and want to get more but sadly the bottle didn't have the business name on it.

Looking to buy red or red+yellow+orange daylillies and vibrant coneflowers
I'm visiting from out of town and everyone has such lovely daylilies and coneflowers! Where does everyone buy them from? Or would anyone be willing to sell me a small bunch so I can bring it home to my garden? We only have yellow or orange daylilies where I live and I'd love to add some variety. Thanks!
I would want to pick them up on Monday if possible:)

Off leash dog park
Hi all,
I just moved to the area and I am looking for an off leash dog park to take my girl. We have a good sized property just on the outskirts of almonte, but I think she’s really missing the socialization.
Let me know if there are any good spots. My dog has fairly good recall so it does not need to be fenced in.
Thanks!

Pokemon cards
New to town and wondering if anyone knows anywhere that sells pokemon cards? Of course there’s random gas station finds and maybe even shoppers, but looking to support more niche hobby shops etc. Almonte + surrounding area would be great. Thanks!

To the silver Mazda that came into my lane and ran me off the road
Huuuuge fuck you. You ruined my tie rod end. I almost flipped the car swerving into gravel.
I hope you hate yourself for the rest of your life for almost killing me and not stopping to see if I was okay.
GET OFF YOUR FUCKING PHONES ON THE SIDE ROADS.

On the lookout for a room or studio to rent :)
Hello Almontonians! I’ve (F30) been housesitting in Almonte since January and the family returns mid-July. The town grew on me and I plan on staying, so I’m on the hunt for a room or studio apartment :) I’m studying CompSci at Carleton and work at a restaurant in town, so preferably something on a student budget.
I have a cat and a car. Looking for a 6-month or year long lease.
I’ve been on the lookout for “For rent” signs on my walks around town and I’m part of the Almonte for rent Facebook group, though I’d appreciate any leads!
