Include the Indiana fever games and somehow it switched to a third-party application instead of just Amazon giving me the AI, he used to always notify me 15 minutes before game times and it does not do that anymore. I have no idea what the hell happened and if that was the catalyst. It is far beyond the worst AI service that I use. I do have prime so I do have the upgraded version of Alexa and it is just called awful now.

Is there a reliable way to stop ads? Previously I was able to do that by switching to the Canada region, but that doesn't help anymore. All I need to see is weather, time, and the Ring camera widget. I'm close to throwing this thing away.

I ended up getting the Amazon Echo Show 11 as well, even though most people were telling me not to, and I have to say that I’m very happy with it. I’ve had it for a little over a week now, and I find it very useful.
The sound quality is very good, and the screen is also really convenient. The only downside, in my opinion, is the temperature, because it does get quite warm in general.
I definitely don’t regret buying it, at least so far.
Also, it’s not like it constantly shows ads. At least on mine, it may show advertisements and similar content, but when it detects a person in front of it, it switches away from the ads. Depending on how the user has configured it, it either goes to the widgets, shows ads on one half of the screen and widgets on the other half, or shows only the widgets.
Also, when you’re listening to music, it doesn’t show ads like many users claim. Instead, it stays on the screen and displays the song that’s playing for as long as the music is playing.
Overall, I think it’s a really good smart speaker.

Recently bought an echo show 8.

After some time or swapping over from music to videos the sound goes really low on new videos played or indeed any sound outside of voice responses.

Setting a timer or alarm will also play with a really low sound. Barely audible like a 1 of 100 , i wouldnt ven say its a 1 of 10!

Alexa volume is max and responds loudly.

Alarms and timers are set to max

No routines etc as its a new device and like this from the start

No adaptive voice on this

Amazon told me to disable alexa plus but issue still happens

I can fix it with a reboot but theres only so much rebooting u can do in a day

Anyone know of a fix or same issue

It says there was some update recently and now the Alexa Plus we were used to appears to have been gotten. She no longer is personable, conversational warm, no humor, no charm just answers my question with a bunch of questions all the time.

Me and my wife have very different tastes in music and we would love to have our Spotify algorithms not touched by each other. The problem is that I can't for the love of me figure out how to switch accounts when Alexa+ is active.

After exploring the issue online, the best solution imo was to just revert to normal Alexa and she the " switch accounts " command. But normal Alexa has a lot of trouble understanding certain commands, specially with my LG tv. It struggles to do basic tasks such as " restart video " or " resume video ", it always gives me a negative answer while Alexa+ just works.

We are connected with our own separate accounts under one household, each with our own Spotify accounts. No matter what we do or say, Spotify always reverts to my account.

All I want is to be able to use our individual Spotify accounts.

I have a Studio Max, Dot Max and Pop. When I play Spotify on a single or multiple devices it randomly makes a beep noice and then stops playing. If I say “Alexa play Spotify” it starts again. If I don’t it will start again randomly at a later point. Anyone seen this issue or has an idea on how to resolve?

We use Alexa on a kindle tablet to stream a not quite local radio station to a Bluetooth sound bar. For several years, Alexa, volume zero turned it off. Alexa, volume 2 turned it on. The volume commands no longer work. Turn off the music works. Or play 96.1 works. It just seems odd that there seems to be a change which seems to be undocumented.

I bought 2 echo show 5’s, newest model and every few days the screen goes dim. I give Alexa the “home” command and it says it can’t do that. Nothing except a reset will fix it. Anyone else experiencing this?

Touch controls hardly ever work. Night mode functions maybe 25% of the time. And now it’s randomly just not showing the minutes of whatever time it is… anyone else have issues like this?

I purchased two Echo Dot 3 in 2020, one still works perfectly, but the other one was left out in the rain about 3 years ago. It's dry now and talks, but I am unable to connect it to my internet, to use it again. Any suggestions, is it pooched, even though it talks, but no light

With the SALE on 21" Echos I am considering pulling the trigger to replace an Echo Show 5, which I've had for years and welp, doesn't cut it for showing a camera..

I'd been eyeing this 21" thing to be the replacement show that when the integration with Wyze triggers, and it shows the front door, I and especially 80YOA parent can see the image.

So hows that work for you wyze users. (Again SEE ABOVE!)

I honestly don't really care about the FireTV part.. thats well.. not the device space I use for "TV" I've got several they are used in other ways, mostly TinyCamPro.

If I am spending this sort of $$$ and this is going to be "family/kitchen 'hub' " then it better be able to do that!

So displaying the camera from the front door when its triggered, the Show 5 does this, but its so pitifully small...

Next.. Showing calendars and other widgets.. but I've seen posts about portions of this display being unusable due to ads?

How much of this space is not usable for widgets etc...

Also the Alexa performance... this has to replace the Show 5 in doing all the basic Alexa things, like announcing "Take your pills!" Person at driveway! Person at Front Door...etc...

Hello all!

I have an Amazon Echo at my home, as well as a Ring security system. In trying to set up one of two routines on my Echo:

1: When my Ring security is set to home in armed, set a routine for Alexa to disarm my security at a given time. Im never home the same mornings each week, so its impossible to set a regular schedule.

2: Tell Echo “Im awake” and and have it disarm my security that way.

Any tips on how to make either of these work?

Hi, prior to getting our 1st pair of Echo Max, wife and I have our own Amazon account.

The pair of Echoes are setup using my account as main account and I added wife in My Family. However when she installed Alexa app and signed in, she can't see any devices and appeared to be she's has setup the Echoes again.

We wanted our accounts to be able to have full control over the Echoes, is that possible? What did I miss out in the setting up.

I have had my echo show 15 for almost a year. I love it but I’m having an issue with it to the point that I’m about to throw it out. Randomly all day it says “Someone is at the front door” in a voice that is not my normal Alexa. When I ask why it said that it has no recent notifications and can’t tell me why it notified me. I have went onto ring and disconnected all cameras from my echo show already. I even called Amazon and they replaced my original one because we thought it was glitching. Does anyone know how to stop this?? It seriously has me about the throw the entire thing away. It just went off and woke my sleeping toddler😡

Hwy there I have an Echo Dot 4 with clock that all of the sudden it stopped producing any sounds, Alexa does hear and respond but the sound is not coming from the internal speaker, I tried connecting a pair of headphones and I was able to hear Alexa, I already tried resetting the echo completely and it didn't work. Also when saying "Alexa, I can't hear you" it changes the volume to 6 or 9 as it's shown in the echo screen, but still no audio, that's one clue to know that Alexa is hearing me.

We all know the roll out of Alexa+ ended the ability to have Alexa read Kindle books. I had found a work-around by reverting my at-home devices to regular Alexa and then asking regular Alexa to read my kindle books. Then I was able to open the Alexa (now Alexa+) app on my phone and open the favorites tab…there was my book to continue playing. Recently when I do this, as soon as I close out of that screen on my phone Alexa stops reading. Is it true there’s no way to fix this and no way to revert my phone to regular Alexa? Thanks!
