What’s the most addictive book you’ve ever read? Like the kind keeps you are thinking about non-stop until you finish?

The Martian was all I could think about while I was listening to it. I was listening to it passively at work when I realized I was as holding my breath (when the Americans launched their rocket with food.

Also…

I couldn’t sleep when I was reading the short story, I Am Legend. I remember being tense, perched on my elbow, reading as fast as I could (and I’m not much of a reader) at 2 am to find out what happens next.

Project Hail Mary was hard to put down too. My whole family read it while we were on vacation in Hawaii. We would breakout into small groups to discuss it depending on what chapter people were on. Such a great memory.

Did you listen to The Martian with the narrator being R.C. Bray or Wil Wheaton?

It Wil Wheaton… which is kinda funny because I don’t remember his voice, I was so engrossed in the story.

I’m sure it registered in my brain in the beginning because I’m a Trekkie but I totally forgot (had to look at my library).

No clue why they had Wil even read the book. He's fine and I enjoy some of his narrations but RC is the best. My favorite narrator and I like so many.

I absolutely loved The Martian, but Project Hail Mary read like an extremely predictable children's story.
