Oh yeah! I remember when this came out and it felt edgy and horrifying and dangerous. But also so, so captivating!!!

Read it so damn fast. There is still haunting imagery from that book burned into my mind.

Like the passenger on the plane with ebola. Or the monkeys and the situation in Reston, Virgina.

Hard not to think of The Hot Zone when reading about the current 2nd largest ever (and growing) ebola outbreak across Eastern Africa!

The Frozen Monkey with Ebola. In the trunk of a car.

Melting.

Driving along the freeway, dripping out the car, along the eastern coast.

And as I recall, that strain did go airborne, just not to humans.

That was close. Really close.

Exactly. They made a national geographic mini series about the Reston situation not that long ago , it was decent.
