Just got these today, left them on there at full charge for like 30 minutes but then wondered if these things overcharge?

So I have lots of AA rechargeable batteries, and I found some today that I'd accidentally left on in a radio, and they were flat.

It's an Amazon basics 2400mah.

Normally when I charge this brand of battery, at the end of the charge cycle the charger gives a figure for the mah, usually it'll be for something like 2350mah or 2200mah.

Put them in my Xtar vc4h charger, which works fine, and at the end of the charge cycle, instead of an expected 2300mah, the figure was 4750 mah.

What's going on here?

i found a REALLY old cordless screwdriver. everything works except the battery wasn't charging fast, it was overheating and the cells were draining really fast even when not used. i opened it up to take a look inside and saw this stuff on the cells. i properly disposed of the dead cells and gonna buy new ones to replace and solder everything back but i just wanna know what the white powdery stuff is.

Also, i didnt see a dedicated charging module. a barrel jack was just connected to the batteries and the batteries power the rest of the stuff. is this really safe? cuz i dont have the original charging cable it came with (it works with 4.8V s and i use a 6V adaptor cuz thats all i have)

I cannot figure out why the 2032 batteries in my garage door opener keep dying after a few months. I looked it up online, and it should last at least a year. Why am I having to replace them every 4 months? Is there something wrong with my opener? I use it maybe 3-4 times a day. And I am even careful to touch it once and wait, like I'm not holding the button down.

Is there a brand that will last longer than others? Or is it a problem with the opener?

I'm tired of having to deal with this. My previous garage door opener did not need a new battery for like 2+ years.

ETA: batteries have not been bought online and they have been Duracell and Energizer. Got one at Ace Hardware - lasted 4 months. Got one at Walmart - lasted 5 months.

I have 4, 6V deep cycle batteries tied together in a series. What would be the correct charger to use?

I am thinking to build one diy adaptor to power my pressure washer with a 20v power adaptor.

I used my multimeter to find voltage across a battery , it measure about 8.5 V . When i connected this battery with my breadboard circuit and measured voltage across it , it changed . Why?

And the change is resistance depends on the circuit, for different values of resistors, the voltage was different.

I bought a brand new boxed hart weed whacker and the battery doesn’t work or want to charge. When placed on a confirmed good charger, the light constantly flashes red. When I press the battery life button it flashes five times and then turns off. When i put the battery on a tool, it’ll work for half a second then stop. I’ve tried jumping it with a fully charged 40v battery but it hasn’t yielded any results. Is the battery defective or is it just way too discharged that even a jump can’t reboot it. Please help, I’d prefer having 2 good batteries rather than just having the one smaller one.

I greatly distrust Lipo Batteries apart from the one in my Phone since phone companies don't want customers to think of their devices as potential Incendiary Bombs.

I used to dabble with indoor RC Cars and the regulations dictated that a Bin filled with Sand needed to be around and that the Smoking RC Car (if it hadn't burst into flames) had to be quickly approached, binned and shoved outside (there was a good risk of tipping the bin over during the panic) to avoid the inhalation of the gas. Then it would just burn for however long and we couldn't leave until we were sure it was dead.

With some of the high-end Outdoor RC Cars, either the Speed Controller or Battery sometimes would ignite and turn the little Car into a little exploding meteorite potentially flying across the ground at 50mph xD (This would some sometimes occur when you took a setup that worked in Canada to anywhere else that wasn't cold xD)

Anyway, I've been using Nihm Enelopes for a while and I'm just poking my head up to see if the same safety features have transferred over to the Lipo side of things or if it's still just "it charge FAST!". I like to question the nature of any Battery powered thing than just take it for granted.

(Also there was this "Battery Fire" in a neighboring Warehouse that destoyed about 1.5 million customer orders a couple of weeks ago that wasn't publicly acknowledged and "we" had to process the replacement orders . . . Paranoia Woo!)

ive been having this issue on my hallmark piano snowman where his batteries leak every day and this is the worst leakage its ever done. even the leakage spreads to the batteries and fun fact. if those batteries are placed in another item the leakage will spread to that other item, even the batteries leak without being in something. if you know how to fix this without having to replace the battery contacts please tell me! thank you! also ive also replaced the batteries 3 times but those 3 sets of batteries have been discarded.

Apparently it's a white label unit, even though manual suggests it can interface with W11 Pro, there is no manufacturer's software, like CyberPower's software.

So far only way I can figure to set any configuration is in Windows battery settings, as if this tower were like a laptop.

So, anyone out there have any experience with this unit?

I have a tennis ball machine that uses a hefty battery (linked). It actually comes in an external carrying pouch and the battery is wired to a three-prong adapter that plugs into the machine. This lets me leave the machine in my car and just carry the battery to my apartment for charging. While convenient, this battery is still really heavy, especially since I’m often carrying my other tennis things and a hopper of 70+ balls simultaneously.

Are there any lighter battery chemistries that can provide the power and capacity of this battery? Would I have to worry about the ball machine getting the incorrect power and over/undershooting the ball as a result? Thanks in advance!

I'm looking at converting a Mobility Scooter to LiFePo4 batteries. Currently it has two 12v in servies. The charger has a third wire marked on the circuit diagram as charger inhibit. I presume the scooter controller senses when the batteries are fully charged and stop the charger. My question is, if I replace the batteries and get a suitable 24v charger will it work without this charger inhibit?

I am strongly considering getting one for the convenience when kayak camping, they make a really light and thin Anker and it would be a huge bonus, not to have to mess with cords.

However, I have read that the heating overtime degrade the cells in the phone battery. What has your experience been and what is the official word from the experts?

I got this little aluminum novelty clock/computer thing but I can't figure out what type of battery it would take. Google Lens isn't much help and lists 3 different types, and I can't find a single eBay or other listing that mentions what battery it would need. It's something quite small, whatever it takes.

Edit: I measured the battery opening and it's approx. 8mm wide, can't really tell the depth but it seems pretty shallow.

I have samsung galaxy s23 fe and out of nowhere my battery decreases while I charge it , even when I am not using heavy apps .

Most of the time I don't leave phone on charger at night .

USB port is okay , there are no dusts. USB are also okay because they charge other phones well . Battery percentage decreases even when I charge it and phone is cool , not even warm .

If I leave it closed for 20min it will remain same but as soon as I open any app it drops very fast . I charge it for 10 min while also use this apps to write it and battery dropped 5%.

Already did restart , port is clean , checked settings , fast charging is on , tried turning on/off airplane mode , restricted some background apps to be working on background less, tried different USB cables and chargers .

Battery capacity 4500 mAh and charger with 60W can not charge it when it should be charging it .

Problem still remains
