Just moved from AZ and don't want to stay isolated or inactive in the community.
Would love to link up with socialist/communist, working class peoples in or around Beaverton. Down to catch a workout, smoke, read, game whatever!

Anybody know what’s going on over by Hiteon? it’s not atmospheric, and it’s way too broad for someone just burning some wood in their backyard.

He’s got a TikTok account and trying to make people believe he’s a hero, meanwhile he’s almost killed people with his driving. Has started walking around Cedar Hills in a full mask and throwing tantrums for getting trespassed.

Hey gang, it's me again. Would you like to give Dungeons and Dragons a try? I'm looking for one or two more players to join a soon-to-be campaign!
If you have never played before then you are the exact person I want. If you're social anxious you will fit in perfectly. We're going to be playing this coming Sunday; Shoot me a DM and i'll shoot you a discord link and we'll shoot goblins or something probably in a dungeon perhaps.

If crooks and thieves could run utilities,
they’d hide every hustle behind “policies.”
You pay on time, think the damage is done,
they wait sixteen days, then come for the funds.
Money moves fast when they want what you owe,
but somehow your payment moves painfully slow.
Then if it comes back, here comes the decree:
“Your fault, your problem, plus thirty-five fee.”
You call for some grace, try making it right,
they hand you a lecture and start up a fight.
“Keep money aside.” What wisdom. What class.
Maybe take what I paid when I paid your ass.
“Use a debit card.” That line was insane.
I USED THE DEBIT CARD. Please use your brain.
Credit cards don’t bounce, so explain that refrain.
Now I owe more for trying to pay,
a fee on a fee in the American way.
Water ain’t free, I already knew,
but apparently neither is paying you.
So cheers to the system, efficient and slick:
take money slow, then blame me quick.
Signed,
The single parent raising five on $40k,
stretching every dollar from payday to payday.
Keeping five mouths fed while the bills stay on deck,
then getting charged extra for living paycheck to paycheck.

Small roastery, we're out this way but almost all our wholesale is in Portland. We've got some wholesale accounts, a mix of cafes and a few offices with standing orders. Everything goes out within a couple of days of roast, so the schedule actually matters to us.
Right now I run the route myself Tuesday and Thursday mornings. It's fine until it isn't. If I'm sick, or we get a big retail order that morning, the whole route slips and I've got cafes texting me because they're almost out.
What I really want is the same route, same days, every week, without me in the van. Each account has its own quirks though. One wants it before 7, a couple want it left at the back door, one office makes you sign in at the front desk. I don't want to re-explain that every week to someone new.
Anyone using a courier service for recurring wholesale routes in Portland? Curious what's worked for you.

Because WHHOOOOO BOY! It fucking smells like a skunk sprayed directly in my yard - like this is legit the strongest skunk I've ever smelled! And then 2-3 weeks ago, a skunk sprayed in my neighborhood (or maybe it got hit by a car?) and it stunk up the neighborhood for almost a full week! I didn't even know skunk stink could stay for a whole week outdoors!
Please stop scaring the skunks, my poor nostrils! They weep!

We are working on our dogs anxiety with our vet and a trainer. Right now, we are limited to approx 10 min car ride and a walk and than back home. At, only 1x a week.
Off leash dogs are a huge set back for him. Not only is he a retired greyhound trained to kill small prey but he saw his "brother" get attacked by an off leash dog before and he starts shaking. We are doing our best to advocate for him and ensure he has the tools to succeed but heck it's hard.
Today, the individual in the black top was playing frisbee with her dog and leashed the dog when another dog growled at it for approaching it. The individual in the purple top never leashed her dog.
I will never understand what is so hard about following leash laws.
Yes, we had defense spray. Yes, I called her out. Yes, I advocated for my dogs. Yes, I called the park people. Yes, nothing came of calling. Yes, I know about SniffSpot but that wasn't the assignment from our trainer.
I don't know what the point is of this post I guess. Commensuration? A heads up? Who knows. But yikes, I'm tired. I just wanna go for a walk without having my head on swivel.

Hey y'all. My husband's birthday is coming up and he said he wants a cake that tastes like the old chocolate cake Costco used to have. You know, the cake that had like 8 layers and could give a child diabetes by looking at it. What they have now just doesn't do it.
He doesn't want a huge cake. He just wants something that tastes like the costco old cake. Does anybody know a bakery that sells something similar tasting?

Looking to get a ceramic pass on my car, and add some racing stripes. Anyone have any good (or bad) experiences with local shops?

Hello everyone, a little black cat named Mimi has been living on the streets in my apartment complex near Metzger Park for several years. She has clearly been abandoned, as she is spayed and very friendly towards people. I just received an email from my landlord that myself and other tenants will be fined if we continue to leave food out for strays.
To be clear, I was a person who never left out food for any cat, no matter how cute or needy. As much as my heart ache to see all of these strays I know it exacerbates the problem to leave out food as well as attracts pests. My next-door neighbor left out food for Mimi for a couple of years and last year they moved out and Mimi became so thin and frail, and it broke me. I started feeding her and I’ve tried for the last year to save up money to take her to the vet.
She has tapeworm, and I have a rabbit in my backyard who I cannot afford to introduce a parasite like that so she has never been allowed in my house. I can tell that the infestation is getting bad, and it’s breaking my heart that I can’t help her. I would give her a forever home if I could just afford to take her to the vet.
I have started a GoFundMe for Mimi‘s vet costs, any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for a taphouse, brewery, or something similar that would be an easy vibe for a "sprinkle" for our third baby. Are there any good spots in Beaverton to consider?
For our 2nd kid, we put up a few decorations and brought a cake to Nebulous Taproom at like 1pm on a Saturday and it was great, super laid back, plenty of space for people to come and go on their own time.

Trying to find a florist for a simple bouquet/vase arrangement (blue hydrangeas in a vase, anything else optional). I've heard a lot of stories about finding 'florists' online that do a lot of scummy subcontracting and false advertising, and I'd rather not be surprised by that. My mother passed earlier this year, and her birthday is coming up next week. She had a bush of blue hydrangeas that she doted over before she got sick.
Any recommendations for local florists?

Anyone else in here workout at Villasport? Looking for a gym buddy that finds it motivating to workout with a friend- especially for bench press/spotting, calling out form, and reminders to breathe while we workout. I am a 34f nerdy anxious type person 😂 Moved here from AR. Bonus if you are also an anxious nerd type 😆

Would love recommendations for westside hair stylists who are great with wavy shag haircuts and reasonably affordable.
I’m not interested in a specialized curly consult/cut experience as I am good with my styling approach.
Just need a great artist who digs this style and has the chops to cut it so I can wear it wavy or straight.
Thanks so much for your ideas!

I've decided to sell my wedding set. Where can I go to get the most I can for it? It was $2600 when I bought it in 1995.

It's always out. I was watching a Pokemon employee add a few items with 2-3 people
waiting to buy. When he left the first person tried to buy and it gave an error and
the entire display said "Sold Out"
One person said that they have timed release. Very weird making them so rare. Or is it?
