So I know that getting an entire faction set up is a huge developmental task. But a lot of people also enjoy more variety in gameplay.
How would you guys feel about sub Armada, Cortex, Legion factions? For example, getting bonus to artillery range, or bonus to bot firing speed, or bonus to vehicle health etc. This is all really simple, but I'm sure devs could get way more interesting with it. Some sub factions could even have special units.
Small changes that add some flavor and differences to strategies within the game... Or giving the ability to add to the game without the dev work of an entirely new faction.
Thoughts?

Something that can close the skill gap outside of the pure skill and game developer's design is just plain cheating... It's like sanctioned. Like in WC3 knowing the range of sight of units and having an ability to eyeball it during the game can bring you victory, because different units have different sight ranges allows you to outmatch your opponents.
In Dota being the inheritor of the WC3 mechanics, sight is very important
Or imagine some mod for SC2 that would make micro-control easier, everyone would blow up.
Moreover, I am not installing this shit after reading all the news how hackers hack people by injecting malicious code into game mods and getting access to their PCs

Friends got me into the game and I'm usually frontlining against AI who just sends a lot of vehicles who destroy my stuff. Any tips?

Been watching this game off and on for a while and decided to try it and there is no tutorial….
Really….
Don’t they want the game to grow?
I’m certain there is ample resources online to learn or if I play 10 games I’ll learn since I have played many RTS but I work 50+ hours a week is a tutorial so much to ask…

So I've been slowly trying to dip my toes into games without trying to be a dead weight but one issue I constantly have is how do you contribute as front if you are losing in the first ten minutes and have a lack of mexes (but still have a base)
Is it best to just continue to try to pump out t1 units for vision (even if you can't keep up due to lack of extra metal) so that your tech players can hit them with t2 or is it actually okay to try to get an economy up even while everything feels a hairtrigger away from falling apart?

I feel like this is a relatively new change, but Bombers seem to be "Hold Fire" by default rather than Fire At Will, and i can't seem to get them to attack during a patrol. More often than not they'll just keep patrolling until I give them an Attack objective. The aircraft factory is set to Fire At Will, so not sure why these guys are deviating from that default.

watching a replay from yesterday i noticed in the spec vchat some one saying bots were self healing.
i checked and all units were self healing slowly when not taking damage. i noticed this just afyer gunslingers were produced so not sure if its a related bug to them or it just coincidence thats when i noticed.
all game setting were the default ranked 8 v 8 settings with even unit control widgets disabled.
any one else seen this?

i see this happen a lot where our anticanyon is dominating and then once they break in to where the geo is they can’t push past that because it turns into 1v2+air or more.
Im rarely successful in carrying my momentum using cortex bots to continue to wipe out the bases. any suggestions best course of action for when ur team mates refuses to help you or are needed else where?

Ive started playing fairly recently and I really dig the “Shore to Shore V3” map but no matter what AI I try to skirmish with it just puts very little effort. I’d go as far as to say medium barbarian AI fairs much better than aggressive one.
Is AI just unoptimised for certain map types?

In case you haven't had the pleasure, factionz is a player that joins lobbies but never talks nor readies up. He's os 18 (which I think is the default) and 3-4 chev... so he's been doing it for a while.
Anyone know what the deal is?

My friend and I are casual gamers. We used to play against 2 medium barbarian AI, and they gave a good fight. The game was very fun, we even started trying to play against 1 medium and 1 hard. Recently there seems to have been an update that changed how they act.
We are overwhelmed by the AI unit production very quickly. I know I'm not the best (again casual gamer). After looking at the buildings they have, I genuinely do not know how the AI has the metal and build power to produce that amount of units. I've heard the bots don't cheat, but now it really feels like they do.
What are some pointers to get us keep us from losing early to so many units?

I did make this poll because I want to know if there is a theoretical support of payed skins to support the devs on top of the donations, after the steam release.
I'm not in contact and do not know what they plan on doing at this topic.
I personally wish , if it comes, they hadle it like the devs from Deep Rock Galactic.
Releasing only 1 set of skins per year. Everything else is unlocked by in-game actions.

How much is considered good? I was able to get 2000+ metal income by late game in my latest match without extra unit pack

Hey there! New to BAR started playing today. Friend keeps catching up when I try to play with him, he says he has a pretty good CPU. I'm hosting on the EU server and he is British and I am in the rockys in the United States. Why is this happening? How does he keep up? Is it an internet issue or a CPU issue? Only other thread I could find said it's a CPU issue but I'm not sure.

i really liked the set priority feature in construction
since the game is like a streaming economy type of thing
really like to have a 3rd priority option(low, medium, high) or like 5
would be great really for economy automation for low apm people like me
excuse for my excessive use of the word like
