After I use the bidet, I...?

I have a lovely new bidet, it works great, feels nice, all good. It's a simple, in toilet add-on, no power, no warm air blower, just a good spray of cold water. (There's no hot water nearby.)

But how do I _know_ I'm really 100% clean? If I use a little TP, I mostly succeed in making a mess because it goes all to bits when soaking wet. And even if I _were_ confident I was clean, I am still wet, how do I dry off?

Would this be an easy install if I buy this bidet hand sprayer attachment?

Hi everyone,

I really want to buy a bidet but i'm usually not so good at installing things, but i'm wondering if I should give it a try. It would be very nice to know if this would be a good purchase.

Thanks for reading!

We need to spread the word!

Sent this playful message out to some family and friend before I come home to visit. I’ve been talking up the bidet now for at least the last 3-4 years and most of them are either open to trying one out or want to get one and still haven’t pulled the trigger. I’m always looking out for the people I love and care about and would never steer them wrong. But at the end of the day I’m just really sick of going to visit family and friends and having to wipe my ass with a bunch of toilet paper when I need to take a shit.

I think we all need to be the Oprah’s, the Santa Claus’s, and Johnny apple seeds of bidets if we’re going to make a meaningful change in this world.

What's the best company to buy a bidet from?

I've always wanted to try a bidet, and my trip to Japan convinced me that I want a Toto bidet toilet or toilet seat. I'm about to move into a new home and it's being gutted and refurbished. I've been reading a lot of the posts here, so I have a feeling for the brand and style I want.

Which company should I buy my Toto bidet toilet or bidet seat from? I want a company with good repair and customer service.

First time with a bidet seat, is this normal?

It happens every 40 seconds.. I thought maybe it was a self clean feature but it seems excessive? It's an American Standard brand if that helps. Thanks!

Opinions of Alpha Bidet JX2 seat for round toilet?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Trying to buy an electric/heated bidet for our older round toilet. It needs to have a lid that you can sit on. I was all set to buy a TOTO because I've heard good things, but then realized you can't sit on the lid! Many other brands have the same issue apparently. After much persuading, wife finally gave permission for me to get a bidet seat and said she would prefer heated water. But she is still skeptical of these things so I hope she will like it and hope you guys are right about bidets being life changing. The issue is we have a round toilet which limits space (not interested in replacing it), but we do have a GFCI outlet 6 feet cord length from toilet.

I researched some models with sittable lid and narrowed it down to Alpha Bidet JX2. However, our toilet bowl length from tank to front is 19” and the Alpha JX2 (round) is 19.4” long. Is this overhang of 0.4” going to be a problem and look weird? Any opinions of Alpha Bidet JX2 on a round toilet? The other concern is the height of 5.8” in the rear may look bulky to the wife. Or any other model recommendations for me?

DeerValley DV-1S0467 won’t Flush

I purchased via Amazon 2 weeks ago. Installed Aug26 and toilet worked for 3 days. Would not flush Aug29. Apparently no one answers phone at this company. Email responses arrive in middle of the night. 24 hour cycle time on responses.

It appears that the flush jet gate does not open. There is no jet and the toilet can not flush without the jet.

Anyone have a solution?

Repair: Daewon DIB-1500R PowerWash bidet seat

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to repair an older Daewon DIB-1500R PowerWash bidet seat, which was sold in Germany under the VEBRA DIB-1500R PowerWash brand.

The unit is actually still working very well: the nozzle extends, the water heats up, the dryer works and water reaches the wash nozzle. However, during the wash cycle, water is flowing backwards into the small air tube of the Bubble Wash / air-mixing system. It then runs out through the air intake opening next to the nozzle.

I have disassembled and descaled the nozzle and the water path. I also removed the small transparent T-shaped air-mixing/Venturi part with its thin air tube (see photos) and descaled it. The passages are open.

When I test this part separately by injecting water through the normal water inlet in the same direction as in the bidet, water also comes out of the small air tube instead of the air tube producing suction.

Does anyone know this DIB-1500R Bubble Wash system?

Is water coming out of the air tube a sign that this Venturi/air-mixing part has failed, or can this happen during a simple syringe test even when the part is working correctly?

I would also be very grateful if anyone knows the part number or a source for a replacement air-mixing/Venturi part for the DIB-1500R.

The bidet is otherwise in very good condition, so I would much rather repair it than replace the complete unit.

Thanks very much for any help!

Are Toshiba bidets reliable?

Looking at a Toshiba SCS-S320 or maybe the SCS-T162. Seems like great price-performance from a known brand. Anyone have experience with them? Thanks!

Are there in seat bidets with an external water-reservoir?

I am going on exchange to the UK and also want to try out a bidet. I live at home at the moment and can't have a bidet. I do am planning to buy one when leaving and living on my own. So this might be a purchase also for the future.

When going on exchange I want to try it out, but can't make big modifications to my bathroom (i.e. like installing a bidet without an external water-reservour), but I do want one where the bidet is in the toilet, I don't want to hassle with the nossle of a handheld one. I have looked at Amazon's website, but couldn't find one.

How the hell do I get this off?

Tushy Spa 3.0 Drilled a hole in my vanity cabinet. Got the poly hose in there somehow. But now I can get other of these fittings off to pull the hose through. Any advice because Tushy’s support is absolute trash.
EDIT: Since Tushy support was trash all I had to do was take that little white ring off on the right side. It’s apparently a little lock. Then the connector pushes down and it pulls right off the hose. Super easy once I knew what to do.

Are there any Canadians that have bidets in their homes? Just wondering because I think we’re all adopting it here in the US pretty quickly. That’s what I seem to think.

Help a clean bumhole out

Hello bidet friends, I've been using a handheld, refillable bidet for too long.

I would like to install a handheld bidet but the water supply for my toilet is not accessible as it's inside the reservoir.

From reading others posts here it sounds like it's possible to connect it to the basin water supply and drill a hole for the hose through the vanity.

However I live in Australia and have read things about theoretically needing a backflow device?

I'm not terribly experienced so was hoping somebody could tell me exactly what bits I needed for a handheld bidet using a photo.

My bumhole thanks the group.

Looking to get several of these for use in a hostel and also wanted to put $50 amazon bidets on them to help convince more people to use bidets at home lol

I would also get another for my own place with an automated flush and would prob get a toto for myself

TOTO washlet not auto or remote flushing

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My parents have this toilet and for a few years it worked great. Would auto flush when you got up and the all the buttons on the remote worked great. Recently the auto flush stopped working along with the flush button. All the other buttons work fine.

I've tried unplugging and plugging back in after a few minutes, tried swapping from single to dual flush and back, checked all the remote settings but it still doesn't fully flush.

The manual flush works fine so it doesn't feel like a clog or water pressure/level issue.

Thanks!

Auto open lids

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for an auto-open toilet lid, and it seems that they are only available with a bidet. Warm water is about 3' away but I'd need to run electric. Are there suggestions for a unit, and do these need significant power (could I add it to the fridge circuit on the other side of the wall, etc)?
