You all notice that they don't give their overall thoughts of the episode prior to the recap for girl meets world? That was always my favorite part with the boy meets world episodes, and now they don't even do that? Makes me wonder if it's some weird Disney plus reasoning.

Also, I don't think I'm going to like that these are filmed now for Disney Plus. It seems more performative than natural, especially the recent episode today of the final draft. I could tell that they were talking as if it was a TV show, especially Danielle. A documentary, a book, touring, merch, the most ads I've ever heard on a podcast, and now Disney Plus eps...man, they are making the $$$. Fine. That's whatever. I just get nervous that the quality will suffer. I always commended them for being honest and having a better rewatch podcast, but the last two girl meets world recap episodes felt forced, fast, and lacked more of original ideas.

For some reason this crossover thought came to mind today. Never thought of it before in all these years.

Just imagine the strange possibilities that could have been if Mr. Feeny had ever mentioned the antics of (or introduced us to) his goofy sister Shirley from Milwaukee?

(I realize there is a slight difference in spelling with Shirley having an extra “e.” But imagine him trying to teach Cory and/or Shawn a lesson about their antics with a story about Shirley.)

What's your top 3 all-time episodes?

I have mixed feelings about it. The ending in the classroom feels like the most natural way to end it, and the actors did a fine job, but the episode itself being a clip show is such a disappointment. It's the finale to 7 years and they could not do better than that?

The newest episode has such a weird cut at the very end. It goes from the recap script to “Thank you all for listening to this episode!” kinda jarringly… anyone else notice there was no transition? Or did my player skip and I actually missed something?

For those that want to listen to a book about a audio podcast I guess.

I kinda admire at the amount of ways they find to tell the same stories. This far we have:

-the podcast

-the book

-the documentary

-the audio book version of the book

Im listening to the newest episode and Rider is calling the writers out of touch. I dont see the issue here and he just seems to have a lingering personal vendetta. I dont even think emojis were used that much when the show started. I remember them getting popular a little before the emoji movie came out in 2017. Emoticon was a known word for internet smileys. Danielle mentioned reasons they didnt want to use it but he wouldnt accept that.

Another subject was Riley wanting to explore her feelings for Lucas and Danielle said she couldve stopped Riley from doing it because she didnt want Riley making the same mistakes she did. Why would you want to stop them from exploring their feelings? Theres nothing wrong with Riley having feelings for a boy and talking about it. Using the Yale decision to stop her from dating a boy is awful.

I think I’m gonna start boy meets world over, as I haven’t watched it in a while. Question, does the podcast recap each episode one by one? I thought about watching an episode and then listening to the podcast if so.

I heard them say this on the podcast and they collectively agreed. Ben Savage and Lee Norris alone were incredible and really hard to beat. Rider, Danielle and Will all held their own as well.

I think Sabrina and Rowan were both great but I don't think they were able to give those special moments or scenes that someone like Ben was able to provide. Or the big laughs that Lee and Will provided.

I, 37M, just binge watched the entirety of GMW within three days. I'm not proud.

I just mostly wanted to see how Shawn ended up.

Most of the acting was terrible, and they all got far too involved in each other's lives in a way that nobody would. Or had deep conversations that should have been kept private.

The show was weird. The lessons made no sense.

Welp... that's time I'll never get back.

Not gonna lie, tattoos can be awesome, but this feels more like a cringy podcast marketing move.

An interesting spiritual sequel project. Lets see how this pans out.

I rewatched the show months ago, so I don’t get it, and maybe it’s because that was my favorite season but I can’t even recall which it is without looking it up…
But today in the car I just started singing

Hadn’t heard it since watching dk how it just randomly jumped into my brain.

I think that’s my favorite season now because I could relate to Eric, messing around in school and learning way too late, that I should have been a little more focused on learning…. And I never really went for any of my passions thinking I would catch up with them later and boom all of a sudden, I’m supposed to be a grown up? How about no, that looks like it sucks. Now I’m in my late 20s and finally figuring it out, while it’s not stand up comedian,still (my passion), or weatherman like Eric. It is a good job with a good company in a cool office, with good people who treat me well.
Being a grown up is weird but I’m finally getting as close as I care to get with it.
I have no idea what I’ll do when I start going grey, I still play grown up softball with my friends, play video games like Spider-man, and write jokes. I’m perpetually 12 and my body missed the memo.
