After a late life ADHD diagnosis and stuff I've learned about myself in couples and individual therapy, I've had these lyrics from No Control in loop in my head for the past few years. Can't seem to shake how much it resonates with me. I have a good job but man i just let stuff slide for no good reason until it's an overwhelming mess. Same with my relationship. I know what I need to do to show care but i can't be consistent for the life of me. Hopefully I'll figure things out someday and that everything doesn't fall apart before then

I am a pianist and I am just learning guitar. I bought this pogolith on eBay because i thought “what better a way to learn than to some of my favorite songs?”

But now I don’t know if this is a guitar thing / something obvious or they just skipped 4.

The singer of Silent Majority made a reference to the Brand New/TBS feud at the show tonight. He mentioned being the reason for the famous “mics are for singing not swinging” tshirt while working at MerchDirect on the same block as they were playing on. And “playing both sides of the feud.” Lmaooo. Vinnie from The Movielife mentioned it was the first time both guitarists (Alex Dunne and Brandon Reilly) have performed a song together since The Rookie Lot. Also it was a Lifetime song so that was sick. Really stinks LIHC wrote off Brand New long ago; would be so cool to see them play one of these shows with all the bands I grew up seeing

I feel like every time I read about the "feud" or see somebody reference it, it's fairly inaccurate. Yes, most people know about the origins of 70x7 and There's No I Team, but by the time those albums were released, TBS and Brand new were regularly playing shows together and did an entire summer tour in 2002. I think the part that gets overlooked is in late 2003 when John Nolan left TBS. There was a ton of animosity within that camp, and John and Jesse being close friends, Brand new took the shot at TBS with the Mics Are For Singing not Swinging shirt. This was at least two-three years after the first two albums came out.

At least that's how I remember it.

Inspired by a thread I saw last night where someone going to the Philly show asked everyone if she could sleep on a couch after the show and so many kind people responded, so I figured I’d shoot my shot. I’m going to the Philly show and am going to have some trouble getting home, as Ubers from that venue/area of Philly to where I’m located (Hatfield, near the Lansdale/North Wales area for those unfamiliar) are very expensive, the Uber home from my Hilary Duff show a few weeks prior cost me $110!

I normally would crash at my friend in Gayborhood’s apartment but he will be out of town, so I’m coming on here hoping someone attending is in the Montco area and could take me back to Hatfield? I’d Venmo/Apple Pay for gas and also get you a drink, I promise I’m normal and sane, just a lil 25m twink hoping to see his favorite band lol.

After fans on here let me keep my luggage for NYC in their car at the Newark show last year I’m hoping to encounter more kind Brand New fans to help me out with this ♥️🙏🏻

Hi folks! Having an impulsive moment I hope doesn't end in being locked in a basement lol.

Elder emo woman here who would love to make the Philly show; I had tickets with friends last year but had to bail at the last second due to an emergency, and this year no one else can get time off. I've been watching tickets since presale hoping they'd drop and can currently afford lawn, but I'm coming from central PA, have crappy night vision, and can't justify getting a room that costs more than the ticket lol.

I met some really cool people from this sub at the Cincinnati show last March, so I'm hoping maybe I could luck out again and find someone who would be okay with letting me park at their place, tag along with them to the show, crash on their couch, and head home in the morning? I'll happily bring you whatever tasty central PA Amish baked goodies you like in return!
