I had this idea a few nights ago and thought it was a fun idea. I’m curious what you guys think since I only just recently started REALLY watching comp (though I’ve been on the game since 2019) and I’m sure a lot of you have some better insight/ideas

Doesn't seem too long ago when Caustic was the most-picked Controller in pro play or at least somewhat tied with Wattson. Now Caustic seems to be hardly picked at all, at least in EMEA (which I follow the most).

As an on-and-off Caustic player through the years in ranked, I think the current version of his gas is pretty bad. It's only damage, enemies are not properly slowed down and it's easy for everyone to see in the gas. I'm on board with the visibility change, but the gas not slowing down enemies is a big negative. An enemy taking 10 or 20 gas damage does not really compensate for you playing a large hitbox character and most enemies understand to leave the gas before taking excessive damage. (He's still good for holding a building that you can gas up completely, though).

I was just wondering are my observations about the gas being a 100% damage-based threat the reason why Caustic's popularity in pro play has fallen through the floor or is there another explanation?

Does anyone know of any roster changes happening ?

If you're like me and haven't really watched Dinos, you gotta watch the final 5 minutes of their game 1 nuke. I'm blown away by JFuture's comms on Crypto.

Sometimes when we judge IGLs we are clouded by recency bias and result-based hindsight. So forget the calls JFuture makes, forget the 30 point nuke as the result - just listen to how he's communicating.

Everything he says is clear and focused. He stays one step ahead of the team to get everyone on the same page. He never stops talking, but somehow also gives his teammates the room to process their own games and share comms back. Pretty cool.

First off i want to preface this by saying im only talking about NA teams and top four id pick, but feel free to bring in the other regions.

First for me is a no brainer it has to be huss, theres nothing bad you can say about this squad doop, deeds and jely match made in heaven and can be one of the favourites going into lan, my only concern is jely getting poached by other teams like panic but im saying thats a 15-20% chance of happening, they seem too happy together.

Second could seem controversial but im going with world wide, emtee and vax are lan proven regulars (minus split one) and have the credentials to win lans definitely in this day and age of apex, nait would be the question mark if you havent watched him in emea but he seems to be transitioning to NA very well.

The third team id pick up is SSS, but this team is the team I have the most worry over (I know sweet fans won't like that), my first worry is sweet himself not because of his gameplay or ability, he's getting back to his old self but more of how long does he want to stay in apex, I wouldnt want to hand him or the team a contract if im looking to build a team and in half a year he decides he's done with apex (sweet know you love popping into the sub, thats not me hating on you and would love your comment on my concern, p.s your allowed to call me a dingle berry), my other concern is sacred and if he'll crash out and start counter calling sweet like he did with alb if they have bad days.

My final pick is stallions, now I havent watched stallions much if at all other than clips and correct me if im wrong but I dont believe the shooby pick up was the right fit for them, I know alb said he wants to be fragger and not igl but imo they should have picked up another fragger and had alb on refrag and skittles on anchor or to pick up a igl and alb still frag or go into refrag but I dont know which igl they would be able to pick up.

To those of you seeing this for the first time, here is a quick summary of the rankings: each player gets an individual rating based on ALGS Online and LAN events they compete at. Their rating starts at 400 and either increases or decreases based on their performance relative to the global Pro League average for different stats. These ratings are a reflection of stats, not a projection of talent. For a more in depth answer, please read the Preseason post!

Ratings Update

With another ALGS weekend now behind us, the world heads into the Split 2 transfer window with two-thirds of the Split in the rear window. Regional standings are looking a little more firm and warning lights are starting to light up for certain LAN hopefuls. It is certainly going to be interesting following how the short transfer window and quick Split schedule will affect roster decisions in the coming days.

With Wxltzy back in the mix for Team Falcons they had a bounceback weekend to get themselves back into the thick of things in Americas heading into the last regular season weekend. As I mentioned in last week's post, too, Team Vision was the most consistent team in any region during Split 1, and following a 1st and 3rd finish this weekend have firmly cemented themselves as the most consistent team in Split 2. EMEA continues to be tight at the top of the region with three teams sitting above 70 points, although ZiPLine Mafia and BANDITS have made way for Gaimin Gladiators to join the conversation in the top three with Alliance and Aurora. After a massive first weekend, ZETA DIVISION had a rough set on Friday to give space for the rest of the region to catch up...and boy did Enter Force 36 take that opportunity and run with it, placing 1st in both of their sets to take over the top spot in the region. Meanwhile, the fight at the top between Gen.G, Wolves, and RRQ in APAC South is going to make for a very entertaining end to the regular season in their region.

Team Vision as a whole continue to dominate the Americas leaderboard. After a rough weekend, ZiPLine Mafia have fallen out of the EMEA leaderboard and Enter Force 36 joins the ranks of APAC North. WenXx and QQ, however, have been the most consistent among any region or input throughout this year, even after the departure of Noname.

Slayr once looked like a great upcoming player while he was teaming with Zachmazer. But since then time after time he makes very rookie mistakes that will either lead to him dying or his entire team being wiped. He won’t take accountability for any mistakes and will argue over it every time (kinda like his Igl ) . I genuinely think Slayr has the same equal skill level as Mikejitsu now he doesnt play the game ever is always negative when something doesn’t go his way in game . I wanna see him have more passion and play the game and take his job seriously or just step down and give the spot to someone willing to learn from mistakes and get better .
