When you ask for help with warlock builds, are you generally looking for;

A: someone to tell you what the current top build is for pushing pit?

Or

B: actual advice about a way to play the class that suits you?

Now I understand that hands of the worldbreaker and fleshwit carapace are great for sigil synergies, but woudn't I have to activate the sigils first? Why does every apocalpyse build I find NOT HAVE the sigils on the hotkeys? How are they activated then?

I've worked out what I think is the fastest way to trigger the 'power within' 6 second occult window and I've been using it to play the Abyss Apocolypse Ultimate. What surprised me was how consistently it can be triggered using a mix of skills. I'm paragon 220 and the build I'm using trivializes T11 content.

The goal is to reduce the CD of a non ultimate sigil skill and leverage the blood offering upgrade to reliably advance the ramp up time. To add to the reliability after the cast during a brief downtime a trifecta of meat shield, bombardment endless barrage and the sigil of chaos aura upgrade that explodes lesser demons is used.

Using ritualistic synergy on the amulet reduces occult CDs (subversion and chaos) by 75% because the prid rune is constantly triggering the CD reduction, making sigils near spammable especially when also using the orange herald aspect.

Sigil of subversion with the seekers upgrade is insanely good and gathering mobs and ive seen it go through walls. For Sigil of summons I'm testing out the succubus abyss variant. It feels like its really starting to click and with the changes in S15 to doom I think there's going to be a lot Minefield builds can do.

Anyone thinking about playing a non-hellfire build next season? I'm going to double down on eviscerate and minefield.

The text of the skills like Command Fallen says physical damage. All the skills that say “Demonology” say physical damage. I’ve been away from D4 since season 2 and a lot has changed.

If all those skills do physical damage, what does the +x% Demonology damage buff even do?

You may have seen it and recycled it, but I'm here to tell you that if you don't have a Cage of Madness helm in your inventory, you're missing out! Get one and keep it in inventory at all times you don't need max Toughness and Damage to swap out for speed and quickly whipping thru the Undercity, Helltides, and Nightmare Dungeons. It makes doing Infernal Hordes fun again, and feel so much faster. I love the damn thing.

Basically my build seems trash...neither the damage nor the survivability seems all that impressive to me. The highest I've gotten in the pit is 105 and I currently play on Torment 10. I've been on T10 for probably about 4 days and I have redone many gear pieces that I thought for sure would push my power and survivability but I honestly feel weaker now then even several days ago.

The skills rotation I use is Metamorphosis, Summon Laalish, then Blazing Scream and Rampage as like a combo board wipe, and then spam Dread Claws and drop Profane Sentry as needed/able. All abilities are Abyss and they all feel weak af unless I have both Laalish and Metamorphosis triggered, then Rampage and Blazing Scream seems OK, but all others still feel weak.

Please review and throw me some feedback. Also, the missing charm is Endurant Faith.

And I got everything right except for fist of fate, but dunno what is the sequence of skill, cuz usual steps I do i just drop a sigil and forget then infernal breath and rampage then tyrant's grasp, but my damage is kinda mixed, sometimes I'm hitting billions to 1 trillions and sometimes it'll drop to just millions, how do i consistently do billions to trillions of damage?

Ok so I’m trying to optimize my gear and wanted to ask what are the needed breakpoints for Tyrant’s Grasp regarding in town crit chance and attack speed. Currently in town with no buffs my crit strike chance is at 35.7 and attack speed bonus is at 27.5(I’m using Varyana cause it’s low). I don’t have any attack speed tempers on gear yet.

I’ve been done with this season for a few weeks now, I have tons of keys (1500 ish) / corrupted roots / etc. If anyone needs just throw a post and I’ll random the total post and pick someone. Only offering in warlock because I got top 10 on the ladder with my lock multiple times and wanted to give back to the community and all the good tips and tricks I’ve received from this sub!

The setup with doom and cowl of malefic torment while using the contagion variant is some of the most fun I've had playing.

Watching mobs just be deleted while simply running by them is so much fun for me. It reminds me a lot of an auradin type build.

Mixing it in with the sigil of smoke has been a blast.

I'm surprised by the shear numbers that come from the doom ticks. Using shard of verathiel and banished lords talisman and you barely have to cast skills.

The warlock has so much potential with how all the skills work together and I am excited to keep finding gems like doom.

So here’s another bug. I didn’t test it in PTR though.
When in Destruction Demonform, you lose health when casting skills.
DR does work on the amount of health losing, but except Armor.
Resistance works fine. Say a cast cost you 8% hp. With 80% DR on Resistance, you’ll only lose 1.6% hp.
But not any amount of Armor DR will be calculated.
I’m sure that’s a bug, right?

By the way the formula for amount of hp cost before DR is:
Max HP x 0.08 x [1 + 0.05 x (skill cast count - 1)]
I’m glad this isn’t accidentally multiplicative.

Hello fellow apocalypse enjoyers, trying warlock. How do u maintain health, I mean whats the skill rotation? Sometimes I am draining health and sometimes I am a hod doing trillions damage. Mind u I am still levelling glyphs all are below 50.

Whats the appropriate skill rotation and hiddwn mechanics pls explain.

I always gravitate towards weird off meta skills and builds. Lately I’ve been running this setup that spams wall of agony and constantly detonates the wall with Legion summon shard.

Essentially what happens is I’ll lay down as many walls on top of or near a mob, explode the wall then explode the wall demon brutes that remain. The wall and the brutes hit in the double digit billions with it going as high as 300b.

The damage is sufficient to farm T10, the survivability isn’t that bad with the wretch punching bag. I’m only P210 so I think there’s a lot of power on the table.

Has anyone tried a similar setup? What I find most interesting is the mechanics of the setup, where the summon shard effectively ‘explodes/cancels) all active walls transforming them from this monolithic meat shield to a massive army of mobile brutes

Direction question. Two parts:

**1.**  Is one all-round Apocalypse setup realistic, or is the honest answer that push and farm are different builds and I should run a damage-heavy loadout for Pit/Tower/bosses and a mobility loadout for Helltides, dungeons and Undercity? If it’s two loadouts, how much of the gear actually overlaps, i.e. am I farming one set of items or two?  
**2.**  For a mostly self-found solo player at my investment level, is Apocalypse the right thing to commit to at all, or should I be on something smoother like Lunatic until I’ve got mats and mythics, then transition? Happy to rebuild once, don’t want to build the wrong thing twice.

Also, if there’s a specific piece of content I should be avoiding entirely until I hit certain numbers, say so. I’d rather skip Tower for two weeks than keep wasting keys on runs I can’t finish.

If the answer to most of this is “run the Pit, get Stones, masterwork, come back”, I’ll take that as the answer.

On Two-Handed, it says this:

“If you fail to Eviscerate an enemy, you still apply 60.0% [40.0–60.0]% of its Bleeding damage for 3 seconds. (Warlock Only)”

Say your skill damage is 100. You would expect to get:
100 × 10 [Eviscerate DoT Multi] × 60% [Aspect] = 600 extra damage, applied as a 3s DoT, 100 damage per tick.

But what it actually does is:
100 × 10 ÷ 24 [12s DoT ticks] × 60% = 25
So you only get 25 damage per tick for 3 seconds, for a total of 150 extra damage.

Some skills have a higher or lower Eviscerate DoT multiplier, and they can also have different success rates. If the rate is 5%, this aspect triggers 95% of the time. That means the actual damage increase is only around 142.5%[x], plus some extra help for the eviscerate direct damage.

Edit: Average DPS increase is even less than 142.5%, only about 46.5%.

The Warlock ladder is insanely competitive this season.

Also, it's interesting that such a wide variety of builds are up on the leaderboard.

Particularly in SSF, we're seeing all sorts of different builds perform really well.

All the expert predictions about Warlock before Season 14 started are turning out to be completely wrong.

The first 148 clear for Warlock is also a notable milestone to watch.

Copied from kingshipton leaderboard haha. But this build does massive damage. This is my third class this season after druid and paladin. Paladin is okish. Druid is crazy good and I feel warlock is also in a great spot. Used my druid to mule exp from caches and levelled this to 70 without even playing.
