Of course you can, but I think is no interesting to spent such amount of money for making a low number of projectors, cinema is almost dead, and IMAX equipement is EXPENSIVE to make and mantain, and a very small amount of movies are made for it.
That's fair, I do disagree with cinema being almost dead, especially with how many people were going to see Project Hail Mary, Backrooms, Obsession, Scary Movie and a few others.
Cinema is clearly dying. Literally every objective measurement shows it, movie theaters across the country are struggling mightily, yes a few movies do gangbuster numbers but that’s always been the case. Theaters need the weekly numbers to stay afloat, and that’s just not there anymore. People used to go see movies every other weekend almost, now most people I know see a couple a year because of how damn expensive they are. It’s just not a profitable business model to bet that there are going to be enough “can’t miss” movies year after year after year, something needs to change if we want theaters in the future because they will go out of business if something doesn’t.

Factory closed time ago or moved to another technology, the machines needed to make the parts are gone or are not working anymore....
