I've genuinely never understood how anyone likes sushi. The seaweed is revolting, the fish is revolting, the rice is just rice. I don't get it.
I know people have different palates, but what am I missing that people think seaweed tastes good? Or the raw fish??? Every single thread of the fabric of my instinct compels to not put raw fish in my mouth. (Yes, I know there is cooked sushi, but I avoid it all now.)
The seaweed is delicious. Why would good quality fish be revolting? The rice is not just rice, it is flavoured. Together they combine into something beautiful.
The seaweed is not delicious to me. In fact, I find it very "rotten chemical" tasting. Nor is the fish delicious to me. I don't like most fish, largely because of the smell, and the idea of eating raw fish especially triggers a visceral, primal response, something akin to spoiled chicken.

I think I’m allergic to sushi. Every time I eat 80 or 90 of them, I throw up.
