Having a field full of bugs to eat with zero predators is as good as it gets for chickens. Acting like they hate this because they want "freedom " is what happens when people who have seen too many Disney movies project human feelings onto animals

Yeah, slavery is okay because slaves would otherwise be out in the wilderness. Nothing bad ever happens in the wild.
It's almost as if having an animal in captivity versus having it in wild and giving it a fighting chance are vastly different. Though for these chickens were bred for food, so they've been made by humans to live in captivity and suffer.
I'll try to give you another perspective: Imagine you find slavery of other specifies abhorrent and refuse to support it, doesn't that make you more likely to act in the same manner towards others humans?
The underlying problem is the same, even if you value humans higher. If you think slavery should be used exklusivly for humans, just go with exploitation instead.

I'm sorry you morons can't tell the difference between a chicken and a person and I'm sorry you feel entitled to belittle the experience of every single person who suffered through slavery by comparing them to livestock and saying a chicken eating bugs all day in a field is the same thing as people being enslaved.

Humans are animals. We share our most important trait with chickens: sentience. The ability to expierence our surroundings.
Sure we are more intelligent, but how imporant is that really? Or why should lesser intelligence mean it is fine to exploit someone? I don't think it is hard to understand why that line of thinking creates huge issues for how we treat eachother.
You simply (literally) copy what you learned while you grew up. And I get it: We get taugth about our human superiority in all aspects of society from when we are born. We are stronger so we can do with animals what we want and of someone challenges that view we need to fight against that or we belittle all those poor people that suffered in the last. Nothing new or original here.

Well pardon me for caring about people more than chickens and respecting what actual human slaves went through enough to not make wildly insulting comparisons while having a toddler temper tantrum about how upset I am that chickens are farmed.
