Yeah good luck with that... Its amazing how the internet allows uncultured fucks to connect with anyone across the world and yet they are more closed minded than ever in their echo chamber.

Its weird to see what some internet people see as bizarre.

Maybe the internet should not be user friendly.

The internet was better when it was just nerds

The problem with nerds is that they just like to build cool shit and wow people. It was only a matter of time before that pure goodness was corrupted.

It's an arms race of smart people creating new exciting and inclusive spaces, followed by vitriolic pieces of shit arriving to ruin things for the founders. Throw in a dash of tolerance of intolerance paradox and baby you got yourself a reddit. The original userbase was accepting of the worst members of society in the name of inclusion and those shitty people spread across the platform like a virus.

Man accepting the worst in the name of inclusion really feels like such a millennial thing. Now don't get me wrong I see the merits in being open minded and accepting of differing opinions. But man we really did let some of the worst people ruin shit and spread unchecked.

The internet on mass seems to just do a few things for most users, it can connect you but unless you need to be reassured about your race bias, freedom of expression fears, and getting a steady stream of entitled idealists fear mongering. Pretty much manages most people too lazy to find away out of the Algorithm.
