Just for context I am currently 27

When SR3 came out I think I must’ve been around 12 and even though I probably have put 100+ hours into that game during my lifetime I don’t remember hearing Diamond Eyes.

Which lowkey sucks because it would’ve been cool to discover Deftones at a younger age and could’ve even seen them live at one point.

There is another older video game called Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 and they actually made a music video with gameplay using the song Battle Axe, I actually really liked that song so not really sure why I didn’t look into more of the bands work. I was also in my early teens at this point.

In my mid 20s I started to play a lot of games from my childhood and when seeing the Battle Axe music video I was like this song is fire and I need to check out more of this bands music.

As lame as it sounds hearing their songs through instagram reels also exposed me to a lot of their most popular songs.

But going to see them in SD in a couple of months so it is chill at the end of the day lol.

Legit bought my ticket a couple hours ago haha.

I was laying down, missing my old xbox and reminiscing about the days where I'd pop in my favorite song and turn on the visualizer on the xbox and just relax. So I put the two together and thought I'd share "I think about you all the time" by Deftones via a visualizer.

Locked Club grows on me more and more with each listen while Kimdracula has been a longstanding favorite from Saturday Night Wrist ever since I first listened to it.
So let’s make them duel. Which one of these tracks do you like more?

Cmnd/ctrl I feel is the most underrated track on Diamond Eyes. Poltergeist is a fun roller coaster ride.

My favorite moment in all of the band's discography is when Chino hits that high note in Digital Bath, good lord no matter how many times I listen to that song I get chills.

Or Rodleen Getsic's part in Knife Prty.

When these two songs come on, my car automatically goes about 10mph faster.

Genuinely just curious to see/understand if there are some people of a similar opinion.

I went to a Deftones show recently(was AWESOME) and a pit cleared like ~5m back from the front barrier, centre stage. Whilst moving to the edge (we hadnt started moshing at this point) i accidentally bump(like not even knock over, legit just bump) a girl who then proceeded to very aggressively scream "fuck off" at me. Like i said im not pressed about it i really just have no clue why you would stand front centre Deftones and complain about getting pushed about.

my first time seeing Deftones last night in Lisbon. what an amazing crowd, you guys are simply amazing. i might have been a bit in shock because i felt i was witnessing something extraordinary but i couldn’t put it into words. now that i just woke up it hit me and i feel like crying for hours.
