* Overview : Présentation du concept d'overlays et des bundles RealMap.

* LargeMap (exp.) : Explication du cadrage étendu à 57 344 km.

* Calques : Détail des 4 calques géographiques (routes, eau, zonage, rail).

* Architecture technique : Pipeline de traitement, de l'ingestion GeoJSON au rendu in-game.

* Statut du projet : Tableau de transparence (implémenté / expérimental / non garanti).

Feedback on my this wordmark

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

I'm currently working on a complete rebrand for CtrlArt, and I'm exploring different directions for the new wordmark.

I wanted to make it bolder and more distinctive, while still keeping it readable and flexible enough to work across social media, posters, events, etc.

I've been experimenting with:

Different typefaces

Kerning and letter spacing

Weight and proportions

The relationship between CTRL and Art

A more expressive/experimental treatment for the Art part

I'm currently leaning toward Option 1, but I'm not completely sure about the balance between the bold letters and the script element.

Which direction do you think has the most potential?

I'd especially appreciate feedback on the font choice, kerning, spacing, proportions, and overall readability.

Portfolio Review Request — Seeking Honest Expert Feedback

Hello,

I hope you’re doing well.

I’m a graphic designer with around 15 years of experience, and I’m now working toward building a sustainable freelance career. I’m currently reviewing my portfolio and would genuinely appreciate an experienced designer’s honest feedback.

My Portfolio:

If you have a few minutes, I would be very grateful if you could review my work and share your thoughts on the following:

  1. Design Quality
  • Color selection and color harmony
  • Layout, balance and composition
  • Typography and readability
  • Alignment and spacing
  • Visual hierarchy
  • Overall use of graphic design principles
  • Use of color psychology
  1. Freelance Readiness
  • Does my portfolio look professional enough to attract paying clients?
  • Is my work suitable for platforms such as Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer, DesignCrowd and Contra?
  • Does it have potential for digital-product platforms such as Etsy, Amazon KDP, Creative Fabrica and Gumroad?
  • What are the biggest weaknesses I should address before actively looking for clients?
  1. Actionable Feedback
I would especially appreciate answers to these questions:
  • What are the 3 most important changes I should make right now?
  • Which skills or types of projects should I add to make my portfolio stronger?
  • Should I create a professional PDF portfolio in addition to Pinterest?
  • What would make my portfolio look more competitive for international and higher-paying clients?
  1. Earning & Freelancing Direction
Based on the quality of my current work:
  • What would be the most realistic way for me to earn my first $100 from freelance work?
  • Which direction would you recommend I focus on first: Upwork, Fiverr, Etsy, KDP, or direct client outreach?
  • What would be a practical strategy for getting my first 3 clients?

My Goal

I want to build a portfolio that can:

• Meet professional/international design standards
• Attract serious and higher-paying clients
• Support digital-product sales on platforms such as Etsy and KDP
• Help me compete for freelance opportunities
• Clearly communicate what I can offer to potential clients

A little about me

Specialization: Graphic Design, Children's Educational Materials, Coloring Books, Worksheets, Flashcards, Logos, and Social Media Design

Tools: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Adobe Character Animator

Experience: Approximately 15 years

Goal: Build a reliable and sustainable freelance income

I’m not looking for compliments. I would genuinely appreciate honest, constructive, and critical feedback, even if there are significant weaknesses in my work. Knowing what I need to improve will help me much more than general praise.

Thank you very much for taking the time to look at my work. Any advice or criticism you can share would be greatly appreciated.

[Critique Request] Is my portfolio ready for freelance clients? Need honest ratings and advice on how to actually make money with my design skills.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been honing my graphic design skills and recently put together my portfolio. I’m at a point where I really need to start generating income, and I’m trying to figure out if I can realistically make money freelancing with my current skill level.

Here is my portfolio:

I would deeply appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to:

  1. Rate my portfolio (1-10) and give me brutally honest feedback on what’s working and what needs improvement.

  2. Tell me if this is strong enough to attract paying clients in today’s market.

  3. Share actionable advice on how to capitalize on these skills. How did you find your first clients? What platforms (Upwork, Fiverr, cold emailing, local businesses) actually work for beginners?

I’m feeling a bit lost on how to bridge the gap between "having skills" and "getting paid for them." Any guidance, resources, or hard truths about starting out in freelancing would be incredibly helpful.

Thank you so much for your time, feedback, and support!

How should I start finding remote freelance graphic design work with zero formal experience?✨👀🔮

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to start doing remote freelance graphic design, but I’m struggling with how and where to actually find my first real clients.

To give some context on my skills: I don't have any formal agency or corporate experience yet. My portfolio mostly consists of small projects I’ve done for friends or in design school—specifically vector artwork, brand identity (logos, color palettes), and social media carousels. I work primarily in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and my next goal is to learn how to use Figma.

I know how to do the design work, but I feel lost on the client acquisition side.
What platforms or job boards are actually worth checking for entry-level freelance design?
How did you land your first real remote design client?
Are there specific niches or types of projects I should focus on pitching as a beginner?

Any guidance, harsh truths, or tips for a beginner trying to get their foot in the door would be hugely appreciated! ☺️☺️☺️

(I’m on the autism spectrum btw so the social part is not easy for me ;3)

Budgeting app UX question: What should "Available This Month" actually mean?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I'm working on a budgeting app and I'm stuck on one specific dashboard UX decision. I'm looking for opinions from people who actually budget their money.

In this example, the user has $1,500 of income and an upcoming $75 bill.

Question 1 — Available This Month

Would you expect upcoming bills to already be removed from the Available This Month number?

A: Available = money remaining after upcoming bills

B: Available = money remaining so far, with Bill Obligations displayed separately

C: Something else

Question 2 — Health indicator

The green Health indicator currently represents the health of the budget.

Should it:

A: Stay focused only on budget health

B: Also change when a bill is coming due/overdue

C: Leave the Health indicator alone and instead change the individual bill/priority section

Question 3

Looking at this screen, what would make you feel most confident that you understand how much money you can actually use?

I'm not looking for compliments — I'm trying to figure out what people naturally expect these numbers and indicators to mean. So please tell me if something is confusing.

Can I get some feedback and some tips for a Freelance Graphic Designer?

Here's my portfolio:
https://www.behance.net/MarianaOrozcoVaron

I've heard a lot about niching down, but I haven't worked enough yet to know what to niche down to. I've done some projects, and I've liked and disliked them all for all sorts of reasons, but I haven't found something I'm passionate about. I want to keep on learning and designing, but I also need to think about the money side of it. I need more clients, but I don't really know where to point the arrow or how to approach people to get the deals I want to get.

I'm working on doing more for social media, but is there anything else I should be doing?

I appreciate any tips and feedback, both on what to do to get more clients and better myself as a graphic designer, and on my portfolio.

Thank you everyone!!

Do you also save references and later forget why? I built a tool for that

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

While working on projects, I realized I was collecting a lot of references, but later I didn’t always remember what had caught my attention in each one or where I intended to use it.

That’s what led me to start building Refeason. It lets you save references together with the reason behind the choice and organize them within your projects.

The platform is still in beta, and I’d like to understand whether this also makes sense in the workflow of other creative professionals.

If you have a few minutes, feel free to explore it:

https://refeason.com/

I’d especially like to know:

• Is the idea clear right away?
• Would this solve any problem in your workflow?
• Did anything feel confusing?
• What would make you want to come back and use it again?

There’s no need to follow a specific structure or be polite about it. Honest feedback, including if the idea simply doesn’t make sense to you, would help me a lot.

There’s also a feedback button inside the platform, but feel free to comment directly here as well.

Thanks!

Feedback on my dev portfolio site (miguelbarra.cl)

Full stack dev here (React/Next.js/TypeScript). Just finished redesigning my portfolio: [https://www.miguelbarra.cl\](https://www.miguelbarra.cl)

Would love some design/UX feedback. Curious about: visual hierarchy in the Work section, mobile experience, and whether the closing CTA feels convincing.

Open to any critique.
