I’m Worried

This was an item, part of a bundled order. I wasn’t able to cancel it, I don’t remember choosing the tip and I am lowkey scared that this Dasher might tamper with it. The order in question is from a place down the street. It isn’t very far. So I guess this must have been the default tip.

Help a girl out!!

Like I’m irritatedddd. How can I possibly find this man?
Edit: to everyone commenting about men creeping on DoorDash, I understand I do not think men should just flirt with women on an app were they are trying to order food, and I don’t want men seeing my post and thinking it works. The only reason he was flirting was because I started it when he dropped off my order.
Another edit, his name was Andrew, he had blonde hair and was in a truck. Not my usual type but that little accent had me gone.

My unit number starts with an 8 and my driver thought that meant I was on the 8th floor

Spit out my drink reading his response cuz, same. If we had 8 floors and no elevator, I’d say leave it at the bottom or get some kind of mail pulley system bc nobody climbing a mountain! Anyway thanks for the laugh Jameson :)

Why are there dashers making their kid deliver??

Upvotes

I was at home and I get multiple knocks on the door. I genuinely thought it was my boyfriend joking around because of much they were knocking. I open the door and its this little kid with food asking if this was the correct door. I was so bewildered because that seems so freaking dangerous. If you're making your kid doordash at strangers' homes, fuck you. Im not mad at the knocking or interruption, just at the pure fact there are dashers making their kid do their job for them.

WTF? DoorDash sent me a discrimination warning and I have NO idea what they’re talking abo

I’m honestly in shock. I received this warning from DoorDash saying that someone reported me for “discriminatory language” and “creating an unsafe environment.”
I genuinely have no idea what incident they’re referring to. I can’t think of any customer, merchant, or interaction where I used discriminatory or inappropriate language.
The craziest part is that they gave me absolutely no details — no date, no order, no explanation of what was allegedly said, nothing. Just a warning saying that if they receive another similar report, my account could be deactivated.
I already emailed them asking for the specific details and to document that I dispute the allegation.
Has anyone else received something like this? Did DoorDash ever tell you what the actual complaint was? Because WTF… being warned that your account could eventually be deactivated over an accusation they won’t even explain is insan

First Time Ordering

After reading several horror stories when ordering from DoorDash I was hesitant to order something. I was forced to order something because I was roped into caring for my two nephews who are sick and there is nothing truly ready to eat. I ordered Chipotle and crossed my fingers…my food arrived 15 minutes earlier than quoted and my anxiety about using DoorDash has lessened! 10/10!
Edit: If I could post a photo of my food I would have.

Not home customer got furious after I gave her order to her son

Last night I showed up for a hand to customer order, but the customer wasn’t there, no answer. So I called and asked if I could leave the order, but she said no and that she’d be right home. It was slow, so I figured I’d just wait.

Then her son comes out. Maybe 8ish minutes after I got off the phone with the customer. He tells me his mom’s first name, so I trust that they know each other, says he was asleep, and came out of the same house, so I figured it was safe to give it to him. So I did, and she got really, really mad, like screaming, calling me and saying, like, it could’ve been a stranger or just any random person I gave her food to, and that I was lucky it was actually her son.

I assume she took like 20 minutes to get home based on the time between when I gave it to her son and when she called back. I really don’t know what the right thing to do would’ve been in that situation, but it’s been baffling me ever since (more so baffled on the absurdity, not like if I did the right thing). As far as I know, I didn't get a 1 star from it at least.

Tales from St. Pete, Florida 😅

Ridiculous Order Cancellation Policy

Thumbnail

I’ve never had this issue. I ordered Chik Fil-a and waited a few minutes before checking on the status. It’s literally on the same street as me but I have a heavy amount of work to do and wanted to work through my lunch so I just ordered. Anyway I check and the Dasher is driving in the complete opposite direction, while the app is saying they are at the store waiting for my food. Usually it will say if they are completing another order elsewhere.

Ten minutes later I’m assigned another Dasher who is already at the store when I check. Five minutes after that my order is cancelled. The money is already gone from my bank account and I’m not seeing any credits. Turns out I need to wait up to SEVEN business days to get this money back in my account. Which is utterly ridiculous especially since I had no part or control of the cancellation in the first place. I complained to their stupid AI bot and got a temporary 3 dollars in credits that expires in an hour, maybe 30 minutes as I’m writing this.

I went to go back into the chat and got a message saying the support ticket was closed since I got my refund. Obviously I have not received it or else we wouldn’t be there. They would not let me open a new ticket. Has this happened to anyone else? Please advise?

Something good for a change

So I placed a Chick-fil-A order and messaged my Dasher asking if he could please make sure they included the Chick-fil-A sauce. He did, and even asked if there was anything else I needed. I told him no.

My order arrived, and everything was perfect. I always give my Dasher a cash tip in addition to whatever I tip in the app when I have cash. I picked up my order at the door and realized I had completely forgotten to give him the cash, so I ran downstairs to his car to give it to him.

I came back upstairs, and about two seconds later, my dog decided to be an asshole and ripped into the bag, eating most of my sandwich and some of my fries.

The driver messaged me to thank me for the tip and said, “Enjoy your meal!” I told him you’re welcome and explained what my asshole dog had done. I wrote “asshole” so it immediately closed out my chat with the driver due to language.

I sat down and ate what was left of my fries while drinking my drink, when I suddenly heard my doorbell ring. It was my Dasher.

HE HAD GONE BACK TO CHICK-FIL-A AND BOUGHT ME A REPLACEMENT SANDWICH.

I was honestly blown away. He absolutely did not have to do that, and it was such a genuinely kind thing to do. What a freaking awesome driver. ❤️

For every demon theres an angel.

Edit: get a load of the spider sympathizers. . .

Y'all can handle spiders however you want, but for me when one attaches its web to my shirt and blocks the entrance of my house, yeah I'm gonna get rid of it.

Edit 2: I've come to terms with the fact that the people being so defensive over one spider, are simply recognizing their helplessness in the grand scheme of things, and are overcompensating for their uselessness.

Ordering Froyo

Is froyo one of those things door dashers and restaurants hate making/delivering? I just ordered some from this place about only 5 miles away and it was soo good. It didn’t even come melted which is amazing!! I would 100% have it again.
I do always feel bad ordering something that is like ramen or ice cream/milkshake especially if it’s just one. (Of course I can always go, today I was just working 12 days in a row and wanted it there when I got home because I feel 😵‍💫 and I wanted it at home, not out). I want to know so I can go instead of deliver as much as possible lol

Dasher delivered to wrong address, DoorDash claims he “couldn’t contact me”

So the DoorDash AI situation is seriously out of hand. I’m handicapped, in a wheelchair, mostly unable to self propel without serious risk of injury, and so require dashers to deliver to my door. Most do, but I get all of my meals delivered so proportionally I get dashers who just….. refuse to do it. That is what it is, but at least I could report it as undelivered. Now though, DoorDash has been claiming that after I am the one to call or text the dashers to try to get them to deliver properly so my food doesn’t spoil on someone else’s porch, if I can’t get in touch with them, I file it as undelivered with DoorDash and then DoorDash tells me that it’s my fault because the dashers couldnt contact me? Dude IM the one calling 😩 I’m wondering if this is a glitch? Like is it perceiving that I’m calling and thinking it’s the dasher? Is it reading my messages and thinking they’re coming from the dasher? Is this just the DoorDash AI being stupid per usual? They’ve been denying refunds because of this as well. My phone number address everything are unchanged and dashers will contact me successfully all the time (especially for grocery orders!) so I know my information is accessible and correct. I can’t afford to not be refunded. It’s expensive enough on my limited disabled income to pay for this service, and I tip 30% with additional if they do it right, so I’m expending most of my income on this just to lose my money on some douche who can’t read. Is this something that’s permanent? What’s happening? Are there are other delivery services (meals on wheels only delivers to the elderly and doesn’t do groceries or service my area anyway) that are more reliable? I don’t know how doordash is able to lie like that with impunity.

Is there any way to leave stars for dashers on the Desktop site?

So I don't use DD on an app, I only use the desktop site, but I've always wondered whether I could leave stars because i've had mostly great experience with drivers

i see a add tip opiton, but no place to leave stars for dashers. Is there secretly some page to add reviews, or are reviews only for app users?

Doordash failure

Upvotes

DoubleDash. If you order at the same time, isn't the plan that a single driver makes both stops? Also, I can't switch to pick up my own darn food that I have already purchased and I'll only get a small fraction back if I cancel? You eat that cost for your failure to assign drivers appropriately. Stupid.

Has anyone else had issues signing up for the Student Dashpass?

Upvotes

I accidentally submitted a typo when signing up. It always send me back to this page whenever I attempt to sign up again.

SheerID confirmed I had no emails (the mistake email and the actual one) linked with them. I did the steps they told me to (clearing cache, switching browsers, and using private tabs), but I end up having the same issue.

The customer support website doesn't have any solutions to this... Has anyone solved it or at least had the same issue? :(

Screwed by new updates

Anyone else not getting offers since new system went into effect? I logged in about an hour and a half ago. First offer was decent and quick-about 15 minutes. Since I completed that I have had 2 more terrible offers. 2 offers in over an hour is ridiculous. Trying to get my rent paid and Doordash decides I'm suddenly not worthy of offers. Anyone else having the same experience?
