MOD-POST Career Mode Bible | FAQ & Guides

Introduction

Hello all, there seems to be an increasingly higher amount of posts with the same recurring themes. I've decided to make a simple compilation of some of the best guides on this subreddit, as well as some simple explanations to help provide quick & easy answers to these questions.

Have a guide you think deserves to be on the list? Comment with it below and we can make our best attempt at creating a complete set of guides for Career Mode. The amount of guides in the last year or so compared to other years has dwindled, so hopefully this will encourage more excellent quality content.

This is a work-in-progress, and more guides will continually be added by request and as of publishing.

Tools & Websites

There is a plethora of excellent resources that will help with a lot of the things in this post. Some people prefer to play without the use of external databases and calculators, offering a more vanilla experience. After all, it's a single player game so it's your preference!

Website Description
https://sofifa.com/ Best up-to-date player database. Can make shortlists, view old squad files and has a positional calculator to find optimal positions.
https://www.fifacm.com/ Has some unique tools including a potential calculator to figure out potential for a player not at your club. Also has a 'wonderkid' list.
https://fifakitcreator.com/ Only usable in-game on PC, allows you to browse and create custom kits for your team. Note that only PC can use any mods.
https://www.fifarosters.com/create-card Nice tool to create very high quality FC 24 UT cards for your career mode players, allowing you to upload your own images.

Regens & Pregens

Career Mode works by replacing players as they retire in the game with generated players that don't exist in real life. When you enter the loading screen for a new season, that is the moment that they are being created, replacing retirees for the season you have just finished.

Regens have identical nationality, position(s), and importantly, birth dates to the player whom they have replaced. They will always spawn in the new season between 16-21 years old, and in the same league (but not same club) that the retiring player was in when you entered the loading screen.

Pregens are a rarer, more pre-emptive form of player replacement. These are effectively regens of a player who is not retiring, so both players will exist in the game simultaneously. Pregens also remain at the same club as their predecessor. You could expect to find a Messi pregen at Inter Miami, providing he hadn't moved clubs, and wasn't retiring.

The importance of your awareness of these game mechanics, revolves around the fact that both regens and pregens will start with the same potential overall as their predecessor's highest overall in your save.

If anyone has not seen the previous post I made on here Real Madrid defeated me 32 or something like that in the UCL final and took home the Champions league trophy.
Real also store Arsenal’s Starboy Bukayo Saka for I believe $230 million.
I used that money and was able to sign Lamine Yamal from Barcelona!

Today I faced them again and as fate will have it, we got defeated. It’s nothing major though we just faced them off in the group stage.

I I am facing PSV next and hopefully things go well

EDIT: I spilled ink on my hand the day before this das why my nails are like that ++ they’re “big” cuz I’m trying to grow them out after years of biting them off, please understand ☹️

IMAGE Freak of a Youth player

Post image

Last few weeks of FC26 been experimenting with a bunch of different career mode saves. Currently doing an Ajax save trying to see if I can get them to a UCL victory relying almost entirely on youth academy prospects and not signing anyone from any top 5 leagues/nation leagues and look what my scout brought in to me. Oh my days. I do not care if he’s 20 overall points less than my starting keeper he might just have to straight in the squad. Has anyone else naturally found a player this tall in the game ???? Would he even work ?? Will he crash my playstation ???

QUESTION How can I play the career mode without feeling that I would read my movements?

I'm playing the career mode in the difficulty one below the legendary and it's simply impossible to dribble the ai and very difficult to defend because it does impossible things and always finds perfect passes or always protects the ball perfectly, but when I'm the one who attacks it seems that the ia can predict my movements (input read), simple tries starting to lose the fun for me and I'm just simulating the games, of course it can be skill issue too but I'm relatively good at UT and against the ia I look like a child playing, maybe I should change the sliders?

STORY Guys I love this team

Second season with Burnley and somehow we have found ourselves in a title race. Only just survived relegation last season after taking over mid way through the season.

Defence has been out of this world, Kalimuendo has turned into prime Harry Kane, Kumbedi might be my favourite RB of all time, Mané scores in every big game, I could go on. I just love them all.

Thanks for listening.

PROBLEM FC26 help

So I'm still fairly new to FC 26 career mode and there are 2 things I could use some help with.

  1. So many times will a guy tell me was disappointed not to play the last game. I assure him, his morale goes up, I play him the next game and his morale suddenly goes to very unhappy and he submits a transfer request literally after I just played him in a game after assuring him. I get this is likely just a bad feature of the game, but can I do anything to at least limit how many times it happens because I feel it happens to at least one player in every CM I do.

  2. I like to have tall strikers that are big targets and aerial threats, like Sesko, Weghorst, Ajorque, etc in the past. I feel like in FC 26 these guys are doing anything but attacking the box. What instructions or tactics should I set so these guys are using their height to get on the end of crosses and attacking the 6 yard box? Every time I would have a guy like Sesko constantly drop back into midfield or drift onto the wing, and I dont want him there at all.

I like to call myself the king of free agents youths because I’m always hunting for free agents who have mad potential s when season begins so I end up not buying and even when I buy I’m Arsenal who doesn’t spend more than €40m, what do you do with this budget and not have it taken away by the board and I also have a very good squad with many on loans who I consider the future of the club.

QUESTION Is their a way I can actually find this?

Before FC27 ends I am planning to create some players in FC26 who aren't in the game but are going to make their debut or have made their debut for the senior team or maybe are in the youth team but have made headlines already

Players like JJ Gabriel,Max Dowman,Ebrima Tunkara,Cavan Sullivan

I tried asking ChatGPT and the other AI chat bots but they gave me names that are added in the game. Is their a site where I can actually find these players

IMAGE Parma Season 1 Summer Signings

Post image
1 Upvotes

After the sale of some key players from big teams that come in for them, it was a struggle to keep hold of the talent. But having said that, with the starting budget and additional funds generated from sales and winning the pre season shield, we as a club were able to bring in some decent signings to help get through a tough first season together.

Incomings:
- Wilfred Gnonto £5.5M (Leeds United)
- Honest Ahanor £3.0M (Atalanta)
- Davide Calabria £9.8M (Panathinaikos)
- Niccolo Pisilli £3.3M (Roma)

Outgoings:
- Emanuele Valeri £8.8M (Lazio)
- Mandela Keita £9.0M (Lazio)
- Nahuel Estevez £2.0M (Ajax)
- Alessandro Circati £6.5M (Celtic)

Along with a few academy players who have been loaned out to gain more minutes and match experience. Unfortunately, the sale of Alessandro Circati was out of our hands. There was a level of disrespect towards the club and he wanted out and as a club we feel no players are bigger than Parma. We have to keep a level of professionalism and the sale of this player was the right thing for the club to move forward.

We had an enquiry rejected for a young full back on deadline day and was not able to bring him to the club however a bid will be put in place during the January window if we feel we need to strengthen in that position come that time in the season.

We have a pretty strong budget of £15M available for us to spend come January to strengthen any positions needed.
