Applications are now open for the 2026/27 school year through ontariocolleges.ca
If you know what you want to study and where, start your application, what are you waiting for?
If you know what to study but aren't sure where to study or if you're unsure about everything, that's ok, now is a great time to do some research.
• Not sure what to study - Fanshawe Pathfinder https://www.fanshawepathfinder.ca/ can help you narrow it down
• Visit college websites and their social media to better understand what they're offering
• Once you do that, it's time to get a feel for the college vibes by visiting campuses. Take advantage of Open House events taking place this fall, like Fanshawe's on November 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or book a tour at a time that works for you.
Applying to college is kind of a big deal, so take your time, do your research. We are here to answer any questions you have as you prepare to apply. Whenever you are ready, start your application, your future awaits.

In my second year of business and I’m unsure if we’re supposed to have an orientation or if it’s only for first year students?

What does a 3.8 GPA look in regards of awards at graduation or what so??

I have no status on my Synergy because I was under the impression I should wait until it's available in September/October. What have other people done? I guess I could go get it tomorrow, but it wouldn't be specific for this upcoming flu season. I might be overthinking it. 😅

I'm going to be commuting from Kitchener to London and wanted to extend an invitation for anyone who needs a ride. Based on my schedule, I'll be driving on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays. Let me know if you're interested and we can discuss what times work best!

I’m done year 1 of the business accounting program but I’m wishing I went to university.
Can those credits be put towards anything at a university? Any specific programs?
Also has anyone had good luck getting employment with this? Can I get anything in the field with just one year
I’m wishing I did a co-op or exchange trip. Is it too late?

Does this mean my orientation starts at 9am for 2 hours long?
Do we need to bring anything to orientation? Thanks:)

Is there anybody that commutes daily from tillsonburg to fanshawe?
My daughter is entering first year SSW at the London campus. Due to her irresponsibility she failed to secure housing in London. I am also 35 weeks pregnant and have 5 other kids so me driving her every day is unrealistic. We have looked into pop a ride which also seems inconsistent. And am hoping there is someone she could carpool with.
Thanks

I was wondering if bookshelves are allowed in the dorms, they are just cheap Walmart ones (basically a disassembled metal frame to be assembled and shelves) but wanted somewhere to put all my books if I could. I’m not sure if residence allows people to bring in bookshelves.
Does anyone know if this is allowed or not?

Hi, I’m an incoming apprentice for this September but I will be travelling to london to attend school I was planning on leaving this Friday but I’ve received an email stating I need my fancard for my first day, what are the hours for the office to pick it up? Are they open Saturday or will I have to leave Thursday so I can be in London Friday to pick it up?

Hi everyone! I’m starting the GIS & Urban Planning (URP2) program this September, and I’m wondering if there’s some giant folder of information that I have failed to find.
I’m returning to formal education after many years away, studying online from Europe (and temporarily Australia), so I’m trying very hard to get myself organized before classes start. At the moment, though, I feel a bit like a horse with blinders on.
I know there’s an online orientation on September 8, but classes start the very next day. I’m confused about how we’re supposed to figure out and obtain everything we need in that tiny window. The Fanshawe Retail site lists some required materials, but the list doesn’t seem to be comprehensive. For example, if we need two different scales and a portfolio display book, surely we also need paper, pencils/pens, etc.? There must be laptop requirements? Maybe a recommended mouse? Anything?
Is there a complete list somewhere of the materials, software, equipment, textbooks, etc. that an online URP2 student should have? Or is it scattered across various places?
I’m also trying to get my head around the online-learning logistics:
I’m studying from a very different time zone, so I’m also trying to understand exactly which classes/activities require live attendance and which are recorded. I was originally told by Fanshawe live chat that the program was asynchronous, so discovering that it is actually synchronous has added a bit of... excitement... to my scheduling plans.
Anyway: am I missing an obvious resource, or is everyone else also piecing this together as they go?
Any advice from current/former URP2 students would be hugely appreciated!

Hello!
I am interested in Pre-Health at either the Woodstock or St. Thomas campuses. Does anyone have any experiences at either campus? Could I take a look at a schedule?
Also does anyone know how parking works for either campus? I couldn’t find any info on the fanshawe website.
Thanks!

does anyone near fanshawe college rent out a driveway or parking spot to students? i’m looking for somewhere reasonably close to campus to park during the school week. some days i stay until around 7-8 pm, but if needed i can arrange to move my car by around 5. paying $6.50 every day for parking adds up pretty fast, so i’m hoping to find a monthly parking spot or something more affordable nearby. if you’re renting out a spot or know of any places near fanshawe where students can park, please let me know!

I'm wondering how long students retain access to their WebAdvisor accounts after graduating from Fanshawe.
A software I use offers a drastically discounted subscription for verified students. Despite graduating in April 2025, I realized I'm still able to get the student price by logging into Web Advisor to verify my "student status".
I'm wondering whether I can just use this method for years or if I should just bite the bullet and pay ~$1,000 for this permanent software licence, which I'd rather not do.
If you're an alumni and reading this, can you tell me what year you graduated and kindly check if you can still access Web Advisor?
Would be a massive help. Thanks a ton :)

I am looking for someone to take over my lease at Foundry First. It is 1 bedroom in a 5 bedroom apartment. There is a shared bathroom but only with one other roommate. The rent is $907 + Hydro and it is on the 3rd floor. The apartment is available October 1st to end of April, but the lease can be renewed if desired. There is paid laundry in the basement as well as a gym and movie room. The other girls that live in this apartment are very friendly and quiet and clean. Message me if you’re interested. I can provide more details and pictures of the unit.

Potentially interested in switching schedules but not even sure if the other schedules would be suitable for me either. Is there a way to see the other schedules?

Hey everyone! I’m starting a program at Fanshawe this September, but I’m thinking about switching into Protection, Security and Investigation (PSI) instead.
I noticed PSI is currently showing “Waitlisted — Sep 2026” on the Fanshawe website. Has anyone had experience switching programs this late, especially into a program that’s currently waitlisted?
Is it realistic to still get a spot before the semester starts or during the first couple weeks? Also, how does the switching process work? Would I be able to stay registered in my current program while trying to switch/waitlist for PSI, or would I have to give up my current spot first?
Just trying to figure out if it’s worth pursuing PSI this late or if I should stick with what I’m currently registered for 😭
Any advice or personal experiences would be appreciated!
