Matches Comprehensive Guide on Buying Tickets & Attending Home Games for Foreigners and First-Timers (Fenerbahçe Edition)

First off, I’ve been meaning to find a proper Passolig guide for a long time, since every day, people come here asking how to get tickets. So, to save everyone time and trouble, I present to you:

The Ultimate Passo Guide for r/FenerbahceSK.

Step 1: Get a Passolig Card/Account

For this season (and most likely the next), you need a Passolig card to buy tickets and enter the stadium. This card is personal—every person attending the game must have their own. You cannot purchase multiple tickets under one account/card.

Go to www.passolig.com.tr and create an account. You’ll need to provide personal details: • Turkish citizens: Use your national ID. • Foreigners: Use your passport.

Once your account is set up, you’ll need to pay for the card. If you live outside Turkey, don’t stress about receiving the physical card—you don’t actually need it to get into the stadium. The Passo app (App Store/Google Play) generates a QR code that you can use instead.

If you’re already in Istanbul, visit a Passolig seller (stadium box office or designated locations) before matchday. You cannot get a new card on matchday. If you get your Passolig in person, the process is much easier.

Congrats, you are now part of Turkey’s ridiculous electronic ticketing system!

Step 2: Set Up a Passo Account & Link Your Passolig

Passo.com.tr is the official ticketing site for the Turkish Super League and First League. To buy tickets, you need to: 1. Create an account on Passo. 2. Link your Passolig card to your Passo account.

You can also use the Passo app for this.

Again, you do not need the physical Passolig card to enter the game. Just pay for the card, link it to Passo, and use the QR code on the app to get into the stadium.

Once your accounts are linked, you’re ready to buy tickets.

Step 3: Buying a Ticket

Tickets usually go on sale 4-5 days before the match.

Fenerbahçe offers priority ticket access through the “Fenerbahçe Taraftar Kart” and official club membership. • Club Members: Official Fenerbahçe club members have early access to ticket sales before they open to the general public. • Fenerbahçe Taraftar Kart Holders: Fans who own the Taraftar Kart can also access priority ticket sales, typically 1-2 days before general sales.

To take advantage of priority sales, consider becoming a club member or obtaining a Fenerbahçe Taraftar Kart. This will increase your chances of securing tickets, especially for big matches.

This season, due to changes in ticketing policies, it’s now easier to get tickets, even for high-demand matches. On matchdays or the day before, many season ticket holders return their seats to the club for resale.

I even managed to get a ticket for the Galatasaray derby a day before, so don’t lose hope if you miss the first sale window!

If you find available tickets: 1. Select your seat(s) on Passo. 2. Enter the ID number associated with your Passo account. 3. Proceed to payment. 4. Once the payment is complete, you’ll receive an email/SMS confirmation.

Now, you’re set!

Step 4: Ticket Transfers, Black Market & Avoiding Scams

New Rules for Season Ticket Transfers (Effective 01.10.2024)

Before this season, season ticket holders could transfer their tickets (except for derbies & European matches) to any Passo card. Not anymore. • Season ticket holders had to submit a list of 3 names to the club in September. • They can only transfer tickets to those 3 people—even for unimportant matches. • If you are not on someone’s list, they cannot transfer a ticket to you.

This means that websites like StubHub and Viagogo are useless—they will only provide a QR code screenshot, which will still show the original ticket owner’s ID and photo. Buying from unofficial sources is now riskier than ever.

What Happens If You Get Caught? • You risk a 1-year ban from all Turkish stadiums. • If you’re Turkish, you may have to report to the police station every matchday to prove you’re not at the stadium.

How to Avoid Scams • Buy tickets only from passo.com.tr or the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium ticket office. • Ignore people outside the ticket office offering to sell tickets. • If you go to the stadium box office, only speak with official staff inside—some scammers pose as employees outside.

Step 5: Getting to the Stadium & Entering

How to Get to Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium:

• By Metro: Take the M4 Kadıköy Metro Line to Kadıköy Station and walk 15 minutes.
• By Marmaray: Get off at Söğütlüçeşme Station—it’s a 5-minute walk.
• By Bus/Dolmuş: Many buses and dolmuşes stop near Kadıköy or Söğütlüçeşme.
• By Car: Traffic on matchdays is insane. If you drive, park in nearby shopping malls or paid lots, as stadium parking is extremely limited.

Security Checks & Entering the Stadium

You’ll go through two security checkpoints before reaching your seat. 1. First Checkpoint (Outer Security Perimeter) • Bags will be searched. • Avoid bringing power banks, lighters, or anything throwable—these will be confiscated, and you might not get them back. 2. Second Checkpoint (Gate Entry & Ticket Scan) • Go to your designated gate. • Open the Passo app and scan your QR code. • If the light turns green, you’re good to go! • If it turns red, something’s wrong (ticket issue, blacklist, etc.).

Once inside, find your section, grab a snack (good luck with the overpriced food), and get ready for the match!

Final Notes • Arrive early—security lines can take time. • Expect a hostile atmosphere if it’s a big match (especially derbies). • Learn some chants to blend in—Fener fans love energy! • Have fun, but don’t be an idiot—Turkish football culture is passionate, and things can escalate quickly.

Welcome to Şükrü Saracoğlu! Hope you enjoy the Fenerbahçe experience (unless we bottle it, which is also very possible).

Media Matteo Guendouizi: We put in a brilliant performance together. Oğuz Aydın: We’ve got off to a good start as a team. İsmail Kartal: We’re trying to develop our play involving our wingers and full-backs, linking up with players in the 6, 8 or 10 positions or the centre-forward.

Matteo Guendouizi, Archie Brown and Oğuz Aydın spoke to the broadcaster.

Matteo Guendouizi: We put in a brilliant performance together

Highlighting that the team had returned from the away match in Samsun with a well-deserved three points, Guendouizi said, “In my view, I think we achieved the result we deserved thanks to the performance we put in together. To be honest, we created plenty of chances and could have scored more goals, but we didn’t manage to do so. Looking at the bigger picture today, I think that collectively, we put on a brilliant performance together. So I’m happy about that. Of course, it’s been a tough week for us, as we’re playing a match every three days. As for this match, I can say this: of course, we knew it wouldn’t be an easy match; we were aware it would be a tough one. But we secured a fine victory. From our perspective, I think it’s been a good week. I believe everyone at the club is satisfied and happy with this outcome,”

Matteo Guendouzi, who also commented on Fenerbahçe’s qualification for the Champions League group stage by knocking Lyon out, said: “Qualifying for the Champions League was very, very important for us. It was one of our primary objectives from the start of the season. We were aware of just how important it was for the club, the organisation and the fans. After all, Fenerbahçe hadn’t been able to take part in the Champions League for a long time. But of course, we’ve put that behind us; we’re now thinking about the league. Because the result we achieved in the Champions League is in the past; we’re now focused on the league. Naturally, we’ll continue to do our very best as we pursue our objectives. I think we did a good job by qualifying for the Champions League. It was one of our objectives and we’ve achieved it. Everyone is happy about this. Now we’re focusing on the league and we’ll continue to do so. I can say with complete confidence that we’ll continue to deliver maximum performance right until the end of the season,”

Archie Brown: It was a positive match for us

Speaking about the victory, Archie Brown said, “First of all, I give thanks to God; I think that’s the most important thing. Secondly, I can say this: it was a positive match for us. We carried the confidence from the Lyon match with us. We did what we had to do and now we’re looking ahead to the next match.”

Brown, who noted that they had played a fast-paced and good game, added: “I hope I can score in the next match. But overall, it was positive for us. We made a fast-paced, good start to the match and kept it going that way. To be honest, I think it could even have been 4–5. I’m happy with the result we achieved.”

As for the match against Beşiktaş, which we’ll be playing at home in the fourth week of the league, he said the following:

“My message is to their supporters! I say, ‘Welcome to Kadıköy’. I hope they’re ready.”

Oğuz Aydın: We’ve got off to a good start as a team

Beginning his remarks by referring to team play and the rising standard, Oğuz Aydın said, “Rather than individual performances, we’ve got off to a good start as a team. The Konyaspor match, followed by the Lyon fixtures and now the away game at Samsun… We want to keep this going. We’ve got off to a good start. We’re putting in a good performance as a team. We’re working hard and, as I said, we want to keep this going.”

Noting that everyone in the team is working hard, our player said, “I attribute our run of form to the team embracing it. Everyone has embraced it and we’re all working hard. We’re doing our best and our manager is providing the necessary tactics. That’s why everything is going well so far.”

Expressing the view that the positive atmosphere within the team is reflected on the pitch and in the results, Oğuz Aydın concluded, “The positive atmosphere has had a very good effect on the team. We haven’t been to the Champions League for 18 years. As a team, we’ve made a very good start. We’re working hard and we want to keep it up.”

Our Head Coach, İsmail Kartal, spoke to the broadcaster following our 2–0 away victory over Samsunspor.

Assessing the match, İsmail Kartal said, “Samsunspor are a good side. Judging by the points they’ve picked up in the league, they’re a team that knows what they’re trying to achieve and strives to mount organised attacks. They are not a team that disrupts the game by sitting deep; they are a side that fights to create chances and wants to win. We identified these traits. We created plenty of chances, particularly in the first half. We couldn’t score more goals because we didn’t create enough numerical superiority inside the penalty area. We failed to achieve that. In the second half, we scored the second goal thanks to Oğuz’s brilliant dribble, and the team settled down. After that, we tried to take control of the game. I’m very happy that we won 2–0. I’d also like to congratulate my players,”

Regarding passing organisation, Coach İsmail said, “We’ve been working on this since the start of the season. We’re trying to develop our play involving our wingers and full-backs, linking up with players in the 6, 8 or 10 positions or the centre-forward as they move into those areas. We did this particularly in the first half. After that, the goal came naturally. We could have scored more. It’s really difficult to do these things against a team like Samsunspor. They’re a good, hard-running side. They’re well-organised. They put up a good fight. I’m very happy with the three points,”

Regarding our new signing Kojo Oppong, who was in the match squad, Head Coach İsmail Kartal said, “He’s only done a training session with us. I hope it turns out for the best for both Fenerbahçe and him. I spoke to him. He didn’t take part in training last week whilst awaiting news regarding his move to us. He said he was a bit out of practice. We’ll see how he gets on in training this week. Depending on the situation, the match, how things develop and the opposition, he could play for us at any moment.”

Cihan Kamer: "13-14 sene önce yöneticilik yaparken Brezilya'dan iki tane futbolcu almıştık. Bunlardan biri André Santos, biri de Baroni idi. Birisi milli takımın sol bekiydi. 5.5 milyon euro ödemiştik.

Şimdi baktığınız zaman bir futbolcu için 40 milyon 50 milyon euro bonservis bedelleri, 7, 8, 9, 10 milyona varan maaşlar, %40 üzerine ödenen vergiler... Hiç kolay değil bu ekonomi."

Discussion We have a pretty decent first 11 league wise. But sub wise, we don’t.

Cihan kamer just announced that other than one u23 addition, we will not add any other player to our team. Now lets do some consultations.

Starting x11 : Anatolian clubs will have a hard time against our x11. But the same thing wont be correct for the other big 4. They all had a fine transfer window this season. Specially bjk and gs. Trabzon had a wonderful transfer window too but their system just hasnt been working yet.

Sub players big 4 wise : fener is the worst when it comes to that. Rb and lb isnt a problem right now since we have at least some decent replacements. But cb’s are irreplaceable right now. The recently transferred oppong and yigit efe are the only options. We all know the lame performance yigit efe had the last seasons and oppong is a mystery right now. And our most experienced cb jayden has been replaced to +2 rule. And this isnt even the most important part. There is no replacement to the guendouzi or kante. ismail yuksek is a decent player so i think he would suffice but bertug ? No. I dont think so. And asensio. Only replacement to him is currently irfan can. He might have a good time against konyaspor last match but we shouldn’t be faltered just because of a match. Ismail kartal might try greenwood on 10th position and if he did that rw would be nene. There are options to all of them but these options are literally high risked things.

I do not have any faith for them in this season ( talking ‘bout the board )
Success belongs to ismail kartal, failure belongs to rovanchist azizcilere

"There is no need for our YouTuber and social media friends to come up with new stories anymore; it's over and done with. If we make any signing, it will be a single U23 player. You'll hear the speculation about that shortly. As far as we're concerned, both our domestic and international transfer business is finished.""

Discussion If our 2 or 3 player will get injury(eventually happen) it’s gonna be hard for us

we sometimes think like this will be our final 11 and forget eventually our 2-3 of first 11 players get injury.

for example if vedat goes there are 1 or 2 player that we believe will score.

If greenwood goes there is likely to 0 creativity on the picth
