Your face buttons are fine.
Your thumb sticks are susceptible to drift. If anything, you will notice physical changes in your controller far more from this than tapping the x button.
1 u/SnoresMcSlackerly 4h ago I got a DualSense Edge pretty much just so I could map those extra little back buttons to L3 and R3. Worth it for me! That stick drift.
