I’m a hardware enthusiast looking to build a new system using a Gigabyte AORUS motherboard and GPU. I wanted to bring up a direct question regarding regional retail availability and corporate compliance policies.

As many follow global developments know, the legal barriers preventing tech companies from doing business here have completely dissolved. The EU completely lifted its economic sanctions, the US repealed the Caesar Act, and just recently, Washington formally rescinded Syria's designation as a State Sponsor of Terrorism. Under global trade laws, consumer technology and electronics exports directly into Syria are now fully legal and deregulated.

Despite these massive diplomatic and legal shifts, global tech brands like Gigabyte are still lagging behind. Looking at the official regional distributor directories, our country remains completely blank. Because official corporate pipelines haven't been established yet, local builders are forced to buy components at heavily inflated prices on the gray market through third-party cross-border transport, entirely sacrificing consumer warranties.

Are there any active plans from the Gigabyte management or regional distribution teams to update their trade frameworks, normalize shipping, and partner with local Syrian retailers now that the legal obstacles are completely gone? We have a growing market of PC builders who want official access to components and warranty support.

I own a Gigabyte G6 KF 2024 laptop, the model with 16gb RAM, i7 13620H and RTX 4060 8gb.

I had it for close to a year now. Today is the very first time I come across an issue with it.

I restarted it earlier while AC cable was not plugged, meaning it was running only with battery at 70% charge.

It passed manufacturer screen (black screen with Gigabyte logo) fine, then it arrived to Windows login screen and unexpectedly shut down. It could not make it to desktop.

It was a total hard shut down, with no LEDs and no signs of life at all. I had to turn the laptop back on using the power button.

You would think it's the fan or overheating, but not at all, the fan did not speed up at all and was barely audible. The laptop is always well aerated and my room is largely clean and dust free.

Here's what I noticed :

- In the Event Viewer, I found the Kernel-Power ID 41 error that indicates an unexpected shutdown. The General tab lists all the flags are either 0, 0x0 or false. On LidState is 1 which is normal. Most noteworthy are :

BugCheckCode = 0.

PowerButtonTimestamp = 0

LongPowerButtonPressDetected = false.

SleepinProgress = 0

Checkpoint = 0

- The laptop turns on normally when charging cable is plugged in, I am using it to write this as we speak.

- The laptop can run off battery normally, even though the capacity lasts only 1 hour from 80% (I always have smart charging turned on when the cable is plugged) while browsing.

- The laptop had the same exact problem when I tried again with the same conditions : restart while charging cable is unplugged. Clearly a reproducible error. The laptop somehow cannot seem to boot into the desktop while running only on battery for some odd reason.

- I have noticed a weird thing in Battery Report :

The design capacity is 52.514 mWh.
The full charge capacity as of today is 30.600 mWh.

The report shows a curious deterioration in Battery Capacity History :

IDK if this is abrupt fast and catastrophic deterioration in a matter of two weeks for no reason, or just the battery's capacity reporting/calibration changed.

What do you guys think the issue is? I'm not even sure what Flair to use for this post.
Is it hardware or software related? The battery? The power management? The EC? The BIOS? Windows 11? Something else entirely?

Please give me your ideas to help me fix this issue.

After updating to version f54c, two internal hard drives connected to the SATA ports are not showing up as installed.

Purchased this motherboard for my 9800x3d what do u guys think? Anyone have this board and if you do how do u like it?

So, the post is with my first model of Gigabyte Gaming OC. It had very big problems with hotspot temperatures. After 3 months Gigabyte provided me a different refurbished one wich worked fine ( except some crashes here and there, nothing weird on amd … ) until sunday. I was playing CS while livestreaming and the PC shut down and rebooted into heavy jet engine noises but no video. I tried rebooting but same problem, jet engine noises on the entire PC and no video. Decides to let it rest until next day.
Jet engine noises on was gone but still no video.
Tried unpluggin de card but it’s gone, the graphic card fans also don’t spin when you boot it and ofc no video.
I will start an RMA but i’m so done with Gigabyte, never buying anything again.

So she was all alone on an old ATX computer case that was about to be recycled. Decided to save her and she is working just fine on a little mini ITX build:

-Custom ITX Case 4x120mm fans

-EVGA 600W PSU

Runs CS2, Valorant, PUBG, Fornite, FH6, God of War, RDR2, GTA 5 Enhanced, Mafia DE, Palworld, RAGE 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Elder Ring, NFS Heat all at 1080p Low-Med settings at 60-100 FPS and stays at 80c. Impressive for a 10 year GPU.

I'm not sure if there's a solution and it's a bit trivial, I guess I can do without. But I'll ask anyway.

I have a 10/10Gbs fiber connection, but connected to the board's LAN port(labeled 10Gb) it only gives 5/4Gbs, tested at router it does give 8/8 so the connection is not the problem, cable is CAT 6a Rj45 but tested with CAT 7 cable also gives 5/4. My drives should be able to handle it (nvme, system Crucial 6GB/s, second disc corsair 2GB/s).

I'm not much of an expert, is there perhaps settings I should check, like in the boot menu? (about system, win 11, nvidia 480 geforce rtx)

Hi, I've been having problems with my computer for some time now.Well, after updating the bios to the latest version (before July), the system started to freeze when it detected the disk located in the M2_cpu port. The problem occurs when a disk is inserted there, When the port is empty, the system starts normally.

Hi just wondering if Gigabyte X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 AM5 uses HD Audio codec and not USB audio codec like on asrock?

Hi I am about to sell an asrock motherboard cause it uses USB audio codec rather than HD audio codec which is a known problem for Linux when playing audio from front panel headphones.

I want to make sure anyone who is using Gigabyte X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 AM5 ATX Motherboard does it have any issues at all with linux whether it’d be audio, performance or anything?
