I'm currently on Season 4 and for all I know, Sansa could have an absolutely massive character glow-up later, but I don't really care right now.

As of now, I'm seriously frustrated at her. She was incredibly idealistic and seemed completely invested in this fantasy of princes, knights, courtly life, and becoming queen. Meanwhile, Arya was much more willing to question everything around them. I constantly found myself thinking, "Sansa, PLEASE listen to literally anyone around you."

And then there's the whole Joffrey situation. From the audience's perspective, it's painfully obvious that he was waving more red flags than a communist parade, while Sansa keeps trying to convince herself that he's the perfect prince. But the more I think about it, the more I realize she may not have actually had much choice once she was in King's Landing. How exactly was a young girl supposed to call off the wedding when Cersei and Joffrey had enormous power over her?

She had already seen what happened when people crossed the royal family. Joffrey was unpredictable and cruel, and Cersei was hardly someone Sansa could safely defy. If Sansa had openly refused the marriage, I'm not sure that would've ended with her simply being allowed to go home.

So while I still find her frustrating, I don't think it's fair to interpret every decision she makes as stupidity or naïveté. Sometimes she's making the safest decision available to her in an incredibly dangerous situation.

And honestly, that's probably one of the more interesting things about her character. She starts the series believing that being a proper lady and following the rules will lead to a happy life. Then she gets thrown into King's Landing and gradually realizes that the rules don't protect you when you're surrounded by people with vastly more power than you.

Maybe I'll finish the show and come back here and eat my words.

For now, though I'm just documenting my current thoughts.

I hate that I watched all this trauma and death and tears, Dany’s fight for the throne, Jon finding out where he came from, all of that insanity for boring a** Bran to sit the throne. Like we went through all that?? For this????

I am looking for completed season 8 rewrite fanfics. I don't care if they are happy or sad endings. I am sure everything and anything is better than the original. The only thing is I don't like reading unfinished fanfics.

S3E2 - Now rewatching season 3 and honestly I enjoyed Lady Olenna’s Character. She was sharp and knew how to play the game, Had what it took to win too..

What are you thoughts and which character/s did you really like in GOT?

I on season 4 of GOT and after Jeffrey's Death when Jaime came to Cercie I didn't expected him to forcefully fucks her right below her Son's dead body. (Actually its his son too).

I didn't get the need of that scene as I just started to like Jaime after all what he has suffered in S3.

What are your thoughts was that necessary...

And also I dont wanna hear anything like "ohhh this dragon is pretty" or something like "because he/she is big and powerful" i wanna hear good reasons only.

I finished Game of Thrones once, but honestly, I kinda rushed through it. Sometimes I skipped episodes or even fast-forwarded through parts, and now I kinda regret it.

Today I randomly started seeing some badass Jon Snow edits again, and it got me thinking… even though I already know how it ends, is GOT worth watching a second time?

This time I’m thinking about actually taking my time, watching every episode properly and just enjoying the whole journey.

What do you guys think? Worth the rewatch, even if I already know the ending?

How cool would an Anime be exploring the lore of Game of Thrones? Or even depicting Alt scenes from the TV series?

Third Game of Thrones rewatch and I think my top rewatch characters, in no particular order, are Theon, Varys and Bran.

Theon is probably the biggest change for me. The first time, Ramsay’s violence completely dominated those scenes, so I was watching him more than Theon. Now that I know what’s coming, it’s easier to watch reek. Alfie Allen’s performance is insane.

Varys surprised me too because I used to find him annoying lol. This time I appreciate how powerful he actually is despite having no army, great house or claim. His power is almost entirely information and understanding people. Knowing how his story ends also made me much sadder about it than I expected.

Bran’s storyline has always interested me, but I think I judged the ending too harshly because I wanted more. On a rewatch, I’m starting to think the ambiguity might actually make his ending more interesting.

Not necessarily my favorite characters just new appreciation

Both of them held the title of "King in the North" at some point of time. So yes, it is natural for people to draw comparisons between the two, especially between both of their times as the King in the North.

No doubt what Jon achieved was far incredible. He was treated as a bastard boy in the Stark household. He joined the Night's watch and there too, he was treated with hostility by his seniors (except for Maester Aemon and Jeor Mormont). At every stage of his life, he had to work extra hard to prove himself. Despite all the odds being against him, he was a natural leader who appealed to the masses.

But for people to say that Robb was any less better than Jon simply based on their battle results lacks nuance.

Robb headed South with a united Northern army. He had impressive results early on in his campaign. He even managed to capture Jaime Lannister and had the whole of King's Landing in panic. Yes, he did make mistakes. But there were a series of unfortunate events which harmed his cause more than his own mistakes.

First, what most people seem to ignore is that at the time when he became the King in the North, he was very young. He was literally a 14 year old boy. Jon Snow was almost the same age as Robb so when Jon Snow became the King in the North, he was older than Robb. He had already made his share of mistakes at a much smaller scale at the Night's Watch. So he was more mature and better prepared at the time.

Second, Robb often had Catelyn Stark overriding his decisions. She was the one who set Jaime free, sent Theon back to Winterfell, and initially promised Walder Frey that Robb would marry one of his daughters. Edmure too committed a blunder when Robb had asked him to hold Riverrun. Robb needed better advisors. Jon had Samwell Tarly and Ser Davos.

Third, the scale of the task at hand was much larger for Robb. He was trying to defeat the King of the seven Kingdoms. Jon Snow was only trying to take back winterfell. So Robb had much more battles to fight than Jon. As the long campaigns progress, it is highly likely that you lose one or more of your allies and/or form new allies. This is exactly what happened with Robb. He lost the alliance with Karstarks and later Boltons. He tried (unsuccessfully) forming an alliance with the Freys and the Vale.

Which brings me to my fourth point - the alliances. One of the most crucial alliance that helped Jon win the battle of the bastards was with the Knights of the Vale. That too, was secured not by him but by Sansa. Even he admitted that he would've lost the battle had the Knights of the Vale not ridden in on time. Robb could not get any support from the Vale. Lysa Arryn was in charge of the Vale at that time. Had he gotten the support from one of the largest armies in Westeros, he would've had a much better chance at winning the war.

Fifth and most importantly, both of them had made mistakes. The big difference lies in at what stage they made their mistakes. Jon made those mistakes while he was at Night's watch. He died too. Had it not been for the Red Lady, his story was over well before he became the King in the North. It was because of those mistakes that he learnt from them and could make wiser decisions as the King in the North. Robb, on the other hand, could not be brought back from the dead. Yes he was a fool to marry Talisa and then show up at Walder Frey's house to openly break the marriage pact with him. But Jon Snow too went to various wildling houses to talk to them. Anyone of them could've turned on him and killed him there. He too was gambling for his life when he went to those houses trusting he would not be harmed. It's just that he was lucky enough to come out alive.

Based on the above arguments, I don't think any one of the two was a better King in the North. Both were good. Both enjoyed the support of the masses and their bannermen. Both made mistakes. It's just that one did not have the margin enough to make such mistakes while the other survived because of having such a margin. So I think that the comparisons need to consider such nuances before claiming one to be better than the other.
