Review Short Term Review: OMEN Modular 240mm LCD Liquid Cooler (Asetek 7th Gen)

This is a little 72-hour post-installation review as a follow-up to my earlier post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/HPOmen/s/xNejvz2CzX

NOTE: I used the top radiator "push" configuration while keeping the stock fans intact.

As a summary of the previous post, unlocked frames Helldivers 2 (a CPU-HUNGRY game) on highest difficulty level was causing start-of-match 90-95 deg C CPU temp spikes lasting 2-3 seconds into a match before settling down...and it's the only game that causes such spikes on my "beefier" Omen 35L's. So then I decided to see if upgrading to AIO will help with things...went and ordered the Omen AIO (literally the last stock HP had with a code discount of USD 65, free 3-5-day shipping)...and installed as intended.

So testing the AIO on the offending game mentioned in my above previous post, the whole setup did indeed shave off about 10-15 deg C CPU temp from previous split-second spikes of 90-95 deg C when playing with unlocked frames. Post-AIO installation, the said spikes now only go up to mostly 80 deg C, with a one time spike of up to 85 deg C (BEFORE repasting my processor post-AIO install), all while maintaining 70-75 deg C most of the match while pushing 80-100 frames at 2K native even with the crazy explosions and enemy spawns (game's a horde shooter after all). When capping frames to 60, temps are even better at 65-70 deg C.

Why did I have to re-paste you might ask? Well for some reason the pre-pasted block was not cutting it and so I went ahead and did the deed and used MX-6 instead and voila(!), nice temps ensured!

Also did crazy OCCT and Cinebench 26 benchmarks, other games at unlocked/high frames and temps (including GPU) appear to hold up just fine.

As far as acoustics go, the whole system is quiet as it can be even at full game and benchmark load with default fan curves in use (max of 55% fan).

Overall, this is so far a cooling upgrade worth checking for your systems y'all.
