ai doesn't generate things from thin air. for a learning model to generate something, it had to have something to train off of. not a victimless crime whatsoever.

It's weird how people can be THIS ignorant about something...

Y'all act like children are some weird other species which a computer model trained on millions of images of people cannot possibly recreate.

It really isn't that hard...

That's not how generative AI works lol. You don't need to a photo of a teal unicorn shitting rainbow pancakes into the mouth of a grey slug giving birth to twin gerbils for it to generate that image.

It could be trained on drawings of children, it could also be directed to make them small adults etc, or be trained on real adults that look like children.

Its not, you think just anyone can afford to generate these models? Very few companies can, and therefore easy to police training data.
