You can 100% die from drinking soy sauce and it doesn't take an insane amount, and if you don't puke it up immediately you are just SOL and have to die a slow painful death. If you drank like 1/4 of a bottle you would at the very least have the worst headache you have ever had

Absolutely not. Soda and sugar are perfectly fine in moderation, but 30g of sodium is actually considered a lethal dose of sodium.

The internet says ~1g per kg of body weight.

Pretty sure you can drink a whole small bottle of soy sauce (restaurant size) without dying but yeah not healthy for sure (kidneys especially) and would be fucking awful.

It's 1g of salt per kg of body weight, sodium is 40% of the salt. So 0.4g of sodium per kg.

30g of sodium could kill someone weighing 75kg (165lb).
