The last stickied post was awhile ago and we're starting to get an increase of these posts outside the sticky. So we're going to have the 'What are my chances?' megathread auto reposted every quarter to continually resurface the conversation. Same rules: Contain the discussion to this post and no stand alone posts outside, they will be deleted

Hi, I am apart of an org on campus and we are interested in fundraising for a humanitarian cause (flash flood aid relief for Nepal). What are some effective ways to raise money?

On Waze, it said there was. But it doesn’t look like a photo camera for a red light. I did go on a solid yellow ( when it was flashing yellow before) while the gate was still open but closed a few seconds after I passed, but I’m worried that I could still get a ticket. Anyone been in this situation?

Volleyball at Cecil F. Gilkerson Community Activities Center every Tuesday & Thursday from 6-9
What’s some of the most crazy hazing stories you have heard from jmu frats? I’ve heard some pretty morally insane stuff

I'm apartment hunting and would love to hear from people who actually live in (or recently lived in) the place, especially the stuff you won't find on the leasing office's website, like how fast maintenance actually responds, or how management hadles fees. I'm looking in the $700-900 range (Sunchase, Copper Beech, and Southview) but I've read a lot of reviews of predatory management at these kinds of complexes and want a more balanced, everything up front take before I commit. Pheasant Run is also on my radar if it turns out the pricier options aren't worth the extra cost, so if you've lived at any of these (or have strong opinions on ones to avoid), I'd really appreciate the details.

I'm new to campus and I'm wondering where I can scan art for a class, ideally for free or with credit card? (I don't have Flex). Supposedly there's one in the computer lab in Duke Hall on the second floor. How would I connect a computer to the scanner in order to get it on the computer to put in my Google drive? I'm assuming they aren't ALL hardwired

I’d been struggling to find parking passes on SeatGeek but they all seem to be on StubHub this year. SeatGeek isn’t allowing pdf tickets. Hope this helps someone else out too. One more week!
Yes- I know there is free parking also!
Go Dukes!

Hi all,
I am an online creator who lives not too far from JMU and am looking for some part time editing support for both short and long form videos. It’s a great gig during the school year because the work would all be project based with weekly deadlines, meaning you can work whenever you want with no set hours as long as the work is getting done on time.
If you’re interested, shoot me an email at WorldWarWisdom@gmail.com and include some examples of your editing work. My page is called “World War Wisdom” and is all about WWII history, so an interest in that type of thing is a huge bonus (but not a requirement).
If you know someone who may be a good fit for this, please pass this info along!

Saw all three promoting on campus. Was interested in them all. Wondering how big they were? And where most of them go to church? And they seemed to be heavily female. Was hoping to find someone special in one of them but worried it would be tons of us girls all for after the smaller amount of comparable men

Me and a couple people have been waiting at a bus stop for almost twenty minutes and there's been no bus, nor are they showing up on the app under the ICS track. They ARE running this morning, right????

I know there’s student club night but is there anything more for “rock” music freshman/students to get to know eachother? I heard there might be something at TDU on the 27th. Haven’t been able to find more info on it. I wanna start a band but kind of wish I didn’t have to search for options so slowly.

Hey folks, I bought a home side ticket to the Sept. 5th JMU vs Liberty game awhile ago and a couple friends of mine are just now telling me they have an extra ticket and want me to sit with them.
I’m looking to sell my current ticket for $130, half the price I originally paid. Happy to provide proof of purchase/verify the ticket if interested.

Transfer sophomore here (I live off campus)
Definitely am looking forward to the opportunity to meet people in the first half of this but I have already seen my way around campus 2/3 times from a tour and have already gotten academic advising, so to put it simply, in others experience would I be fine to leave campus and go on with my day after lunch or would I be missing out on something?

Wait for everyone to get off BEFORE you attempt getting ON
Fill in the BACK OF THE BUS first
If someone is trying to leave, MOVE or even get off to let them out
Don't be the dumbass standing by the door when a group of 30 people try to squeeze by you and also trying to stand by the door just to piss off the next giant group of people
