I posted my layout. You can check it out. It is compact, so the students do not have to walk so far and can do most things in the facilities (to level it up faster).

How could you put the gates up on the Northside of your layout? I only can place them on the Southside.

Rotate the gate when placing it. Each rotation is for a certain side aka South, West, North, East. Try it and you'll see that it works.
