I am the owner of a medical products manufacturing and exporting company from India. We are currently manufacturing ultrasound and ECG gels in various pack sizes and are experiencing steady demand in West African countries.

I want to connect with medical products importers and distributors from Kenya who might be interested in our USG and ECG gel offerings. You can easily capture regular business from big hospitals and healthcare organizations.

We are willing to offer exclusivity if the volumes are good. Our product is already registered with FDA Ghana. I don't know the regulatory norms in Kenya but I think importing and marketing these gels should be easy, considering we have all the relevant documents and lab test certificates.

Some may remember this post that I created a while ago. Basically, I had this idea in mind that I had shelved for quite a while because of financial reasons, nature of the idea being a long shot and also being mentally taxing. (That post btw gave me a gig from one of you that panned out quite well, shout out to the Redditor if they are seeing this)

At one point I decided it was time. I had worked on other people's ideas and it was time to work on mine. Two months in, I had created something that was amazing and I'm proud of. It's gaining traction, that's all I'm gonna say. And that part about me only thinking about the project during the time I was building it turned out to be very true. No matter how much I distracted myself, it's the only thing I could think of 😀.

Any way the point I wanted to talk about is on using AI for development. I did use AI for probably 90% of the work but would I call it vibe coding? I don't think that name would be appropriate here. That's because:

- I gave AI instructions on exactly how I wanted it done; the tech stack, implementation details, code design and security.
- I know my code and I could fix anything I wanted without AI.
- AI just helped me speed up development. Without AI, I would have probably taken about 6 months to do the whole work by myself.

That's why I would have a problem with calling my product vibe coded.

Any way it's a wait and see but I'm excited for the product I've built.

So i enhanced the feature to shmoney that allows you to talk to an AI about your finances using financial summaries from shmoney as context, shmoney is slowly moving from just showing you where you money goes to actually helping you make decisions on where to adjust your spending. There are several tech conventions in Kenya, that, for lack of a better word, have turned out to be failures. I know the objective of every idea is to make a profit, but the needs of stakeholders for for tech conventions is never completely addressed. In 14 days, there will be Africa startup Festival which is one of those conferences, and I already don't see the need to go there.

The pattern is the same for all of them. Have stands, and then have several speakers.

For a startup founder, I am going there to either get investors or showcase the thing to my customers. As an investor, you hope to get very good products there. For a tech user/nerd you just want to also get usable edge-tech.

Now, do the conferences aim to satisfy all these stakeholders’ needs? Hardly. They are all just looking to create a FOMO thing and get you to pay for the tickets and while there you get underwhelmed. 

I have so many areas of improvement I could propose but I guess I should be paid for that. 

We fail to stick to our goals, commitments but if we have someone watching, someone real to disappoint it will keep you going because you don’t need another habit tracker. We made an app were you can do that.

so the whole idea behind this is answering the question while it's still hanging in the air, not an hour later in a summary email.

it's called wazomind.com it listens on your side of a call and transcribes live, and the main thing is this: when someone asks you something mid-call, you hit a key and it pulls the answer from your own knowledge during the call. client asks "what's this per year" or "do you work with X", it surfaces your actual number or your actual answer from documents you've fed it, right there, in a second or two. no fumbling, no "let me get back to you on that."

it can also answer general questions from what's being said on the call, so when you get put on the spot you're not the one going "uh, let me check."
