I recently did art of my superhero character, Ouroboros, as an homage to the Spider-Man 2 poster, featuring their romantic interest. I realized it was the first art I did of the character being even implicitly gay, so I thought I’d share, as well as some concept art.

As a queer person who loves superheroes and the comic medium, I’ve been developing a rather ambitious project that centers exclusively around queer, superpowered characters of all sorts. Ouroboros isn’t the only one. Hopefully one of these days, as I begin work on scripts and panels, I can share more of these stories and characters with you all.

I'm not sure if the recommendation tag means I'm supposed to recommend something or ask for a recommendation so I'll fix it if I have to but I recently finished this book and the sequel is getting shipped so I need to write about/recommend this to as many people as possible since if the Petra Parker explosion has shown anything its that the people yearn for transfem supers.

Basically Danny gets Shazamed by a dying superhero and transformed into her ideal body with super powers.

Anyways, it does a really good job both using her hiding her powers as a metaphor for being trans while telling the story of someone who is essentially freshly out. By doing this I feel like its able to connect with both people in the closet still and people who are out and (hopefully) proud. There's angst, euphoria, dysphoria, a really nice coming of age story, oh, and my favorite part, actual discussion on how even after you come out there's a lot of internal work you still have to do not only to accept and love yourself but to accept the love and care of others.

From the Green Lantern Season Two comic. How did I not hear about this!!

I’m meeting her in October, I’m so excited!

Both from a Kon fan POV and a trans POV.

Personally, I'm not keen on it. It feels like the writer was reinventing Kon.

I mainly disliked this era because Kon and Miss Martian became love interests in that arc. Ugh, no. Keep that in the YJ cartoon. It doesn't work with their comic characters.

On trans women Kon... I'm not against it, but I'm not really getting it either. I have seen Conner fans headcanon him as agender or nonbinary before, but not a trans girl. It's not something that really came to mind for his character.

If they wanted to write a trans Young Justice member, Bart, Cissie, or Cassie seemed like more viable options. Cissie is probably the only one DC would allow, though. DC is not gonna let Wonder Girl be trans, and I feel even Impulse is too major for them.

The Quote in the game for the skin is also Sera talking about Angela, taken directly from the comic. And Sera calls herself Angelas consort.

It's not praiseworthy inclusion, but it's nice to see them continue to not ignore Sera. This, the references in voice lines and her accessory is just nice to see
