So I just got the game this past week and finally got around to trying out link trading. I’ve never done this before so I was under the impression that you couldn’t trade the pokemon back (I know, I’m stupid) so I backed out of the menu early. I’m hoping that this somehow reaches Jesus so I can trade his Machamp back, I feel terrible for running off with his shiny. I’m new to this game so I’m not sure if I can find the original trainer if they are not my friend?

Trading machoke for machoke to evolve but the person left after both machoke evolved. So stuck with shiny machamp. I didn't pay any money for this

This person took three good shiny pokemon and did not give me my shiny charizard as promised. I detest people who break their word. I am highly distrusting now. I was to trade this person 4 shiny pokemon for a shalpha pokemon. They quickly left after i told them i cannot trade a pokemon to someone it was claimed too but also breaking prior agreement.

I hope it isn't however i just feel like its very unlikely to get a traded scizor which happens to have all six stats as best...

This scammer “Kjwkj2010” tried to scam me with a genned pokemon when I specifically asked for legit pokemon. I am scared they are doing this with other users on the subreddit.

They tried to trade me a genned 6 best IV shalpha froakie for 5 apriballs. They even refused to trade the Froakie first, stating they have a shiny charm flair on the pokemon trades reddit.

Please please please be careful of scammers like him. Mods can we ban this user? Is there anymore info I need to provide? I’d be happy to!

Honestly, I was desperate to get a shiny alpha trubbish/garbodor for myself. But I've now spent almost 3 months trying. For the love of God I can't get him and he is my fave pokemon.

Just want to make y’all aware of a scammer. Offered legit self caught shiny Girafarig, Archuludon, and Kingambit for a Zoraora which they seemed to accept. I’m new to all this so hoped it was fair. Gave the whole “I don’t want to get scammed, I’ll send it last.” They made off with a shiny Girafarig and a shiny Kingambit and never followed up with the last trade. Just want others to know. Hurts but glad it wasn’t someone else.
