Sometimes I wonder if USA putting so much money into bullshit like the NFL and sports betting instead of stuff that really matters is just a psyop meant to train tribalism in people so that they engage in just the way our oligarchs want them to with the pissing contest that is our two-party system.

There is definitely a class divide between team sports and individual sports, for whatever that is worth.
