Basically it's when you live in a red-dominated area, but your personal political leaning is blue.

Like being a democrat in Texas, for example.

When you look at a party map, you'll see a big red area and a teeny tiny little blue dot. That's you. You're the blue dot.

So blue dot farmers are farmers who you would assume are republican because of where they live, but are actually a democrat in reality.

It’s hilarious because most big farmers are already relying on big processors to butcher their meat or sell their eggs anyway.

Why not support local farmers and local meat processing?

Just so you are aware, the “like in Texas” analogy should be revised to Wyoming instead.

There are more registered democrats in Texas than there are registered republicans, by a long shot. About 46% (8.1 million) Texans are democrats compared to about 38% (6.6 million) republicans, with about 16% unaffiliated (2.8 million).

The reason Texas is run entirely by republicans is because the state is gerrymandered as fuck.

But in Wyoming, it’s 11% democrats (30k) to 78% republican (212k) with 9% unaffiliated (25k).

While it may be the case that there are more registered democratic voters in Texas, statewide elections aren't affected by gerrymandering. So senators, the governorship, and the presidential race are all determined by statewide voter counts. They've had a republican governor since 1995 and a republican AG since 1999. One senate seat has been held by a republican since 1993, the other since 1961. And its electoral college votes have gone to the republican candidate in every election since 1980. The state may be more purple than Wyoming, but gerrymandering also has nothing to do with the fact that a democrat won a significant statewide election was 1994 (if you think AG is significant compared to the governor and senators).

A couple seats were won by democrats as recently as 1992, but most were Republican before that and none have had a democrat since 1998. Texas is run by republicans because it's voted for republicans for 30 years.

As a blue dot business owner in red Collin County TX I want everyone to know my values. If this keeps those that have different values than me from working with them then yeah we both win.
