Blue Dot Farmer Gives Red Dot Farmers a Reality Check

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

That blue-dot farmer is saying what a lot of people don’t want to hear: your vote didn’t just affect your farm. People lost jobs, families watched their grocery bills climb, and Americans struggled to afford basic meals while policies you supported hurt people you may never meet. Now that the pain has reached your own fields and your own wallet, you’re angry? Welcome to the consequences everyone else has been dealing with. Those very same consequences doesn’t just stop at your farm gate.

Obama said it best “they run the car into the ditch and then hand you the keys”

This pattern has been going on in America for a long time. Republicans fck up the country, run up massive deficits, pump loads of money into being war hawks, keep pulling the same failed trickle down economics garbage, and give massive tax cuts to the elite. Then democrats take over to clean up the mess. Voters who saw this happen and lived it think it’s not going fast enough while the republicans are in the corner crying about how bad democrats are at fixing THEIR fckin mess. The voters go “yeah, you’re right” and vote them back in again. And rinse and freakin repeat.

How many times does this have to happen before Americans get a freakin clue. Seriously what has happened to intelligence, critical thinking and freakin logic in America?

And the worst is that now it is really different as for the first time in history a malignant narcissist felon pedophile bastardised the Republican Party into a deranged cult called MAGA spun off from Qanon. Like seriously nutty levels of sycophantic behaviour. So this is unprecedented along with the levels of corruption, criminality and incompetence being witnessed right now.

Maybe it would be best if Democrats do little to stop the GOP reign of terror so we can stop this cycle altogether. They can continue to drive this country into the ground and maybe then the Republican party will cease exist and we can start over without them.

No, that line of thinking is a trap. The right wing is trying to destroy democracy in America, so that there will be no way to stop them.

I was thinking the same thing. I was glad that Trump was elected because I thought he would kill conservatism. But look at what Trump has done so far. He has literally doubled the national debt. He's wasting trillions because he started a war. His tariffs and trade wars is f'ing people over.

YET his base are unfazed. The majority of them still support him. So I realized that Trump isn't the main problem. It's conservatives' lack of critical reasoning skills combined with Fox News misinformation. Because of these 2 things, things will never change.

I truly think the only way change will happen is for a new liberal country is formed where they keep out conservatives. After a few decades, the world, which includes conservatives, will see how successful and happy everyone is. They will finally embrace progressive policies. This is truly the only solution.

Currently, progressive policies are watered down in the US so conservatives receive the benefits even though they fight against it. They get the benefits of university research, scientists, computers, progressive policies while also hating on them. They need to experience only conservative policies to truly wake up.

Nothing else will work.

So true that progressive policies are watered down in u.s. its kinda similar to how conservatives seem to go to great lengths to undermine legislation and programs designed to make life better for Americans. Other developed nations have progressive policies and consistently rank higher as far as quality of life indicators. But they seem better able to hold the people in power accountable or something. Most EU countries exoect the government to work for them and raise hell when it doesnt. Here in the US there are factions constant sabotaging the government and its actual purpose to serve the American people not just a few special interests. Just feels like we need to start over because what we have is a government that is not at all for the people.

Yep, there simply is no other way, in my opinion. Conservatives will always hold back society, and we can't get rid of them. Complete separation truly is the only way.

Absolutely spot on. The one adjustment to your post is made by raykor85, 'Republicans create problems, but planned so that the consequences don’t hit until they’re out of power. Then they blame the problems they’ve caused on the Democrats who came into power after them, and use that to get back into power.'

I think youre right. Isn't that what they did with tax cuts ending for average Americans ? I thought I read that the BBB woukd slowly increase taxes again for most Americans while permanently keeping the cuts in place for high income earners.
