Just bought the ebook and audiobook earlier, and only I've only gotten to Chapter 5 but: damn... It's good. Like, really good.

The writing is excellent, the characters are interesting from the get-go, and Rhianna DeVries performs a fantastic reading, bringing Chloe and the other characters to life.

Without spoiling anything... I'll also say that in just 4 chapters the book has already done a lot for Chloe and Max's relationship leading up to the events of DE—let's just say Max has already come up a lot. And I mean: a lot. Heartstrings have been succesfully pulled.

I'm confident I don't even need to finish it to already give it a glowing recommendation: 10/10-Shaka brah!

Also the conflict in the last game was called the "Lighthouse War" and there was a main character in that nicknamed "Scrap Queen", who grew up around a junkyard, lost her father when she was young, plus had a bit of a Chloe personality at times too :D

i am DEVASTATED. i started lis 2 yesterday and just finished ep 2 and what can i say… i don’t even know if my heart can handle this.

esteban getting killed, mushroom getting killed and then chris getting hit by the police car??

CANT EVEN REVERSE ANY OF THIS unlike lis 1 ughhh. i don’t even know what the exact point of this post is, my thoughts are just all over the place and the story has just been very dark and heavy so far.

will it get better? or should i just brace myself for more devastation?

Long post ahead! This is meant more for the readers, than anyone else. It’s worth it though!

Here we are everyone..at last. After so long of ruining the world of Life Is Strange..From Max’s adventures in the first game..Chloe’s adventures beforehand..To Sean’s adventures in the second game..Even Alex got in on the fun. The world is damaged, depressed, and destroyed- so many people are dead, with the survivor’s lives changed forever by our bad choices.

Max continued her evil adventure in Double Exposure- but what she didn’t tell us, was that she was just planting the seed of trauma. Reunion, is when that tree shall bloom- and burn to the ground. We’ve been promised a reunion with Chloe..but what will Chloe bring- and will she be the catalyst to stopping Max’s rampage? Or will she add fuel to the fire? Or worse- become a victim herself..? More than she is. Read on to find out! I’ve even got an updated recap of everything so far, if you don’t wish to go to previous posts (tap the blue words!)! If you already know, or don’t feel like reading it all, skip through until the start of the Reunion bits!

—MAX’S (AND CHLOE’S) ADVENTURE SO FAR! 🦋📸— (Skip ahead if you don’t want to read this!)

-Max made absolutely no friends in Arcadia Bay. She didn’t rewind after being nosy with Dana, she got in a heated rivalry with Victoria, antagonized Nathan and let the boy get beaten, and more. She didn’t even befriend Victoria’s friends, they hate her. Alyssa saw Max as a walking disaster after Max didn’t help her a single time.

-She went from letting Kate die, to actively pushing Kate towards committing suicide. She chose every bad option with her, didnt even erase the links off the mirror or slate, and more. She also threw Chloe under the bus, as she told Kate “I was calling Chloe!”, and Kate jumped right after that. Sorry Chloe. This is also likely on Victoria’s conscience too.

-That’s not the end of Chloe’s guilt and trauma. She directly shot Frank and his dog.

-Max let Lisa the plant die. And the bluejay! Nothing escapes her wrath..she even broke the eggs in Chloe’s garage!

-She ruined David’s life, who is canonically still alive and dealing with all of this. She reported him to Jefferson and got him suspended, sided with Chloe and got David broken up with by Joyce, and got him a nasty scar in an alternate timeline.

-She broke the traintracks to save Chloe, surely ruining many businesses and the railroad system.

-She let the homeless lady die, not warning her. This is literally the only person you can “canonically” save from the storm since everyone else gets rewinded.

-Max has literally murdered a man. She turned on the water to stop a fire in her way, electrocuting a fisherman in the process. She kept walking, not rewinding to fix this.

-And of course..Max let a whole town die for Chloe, sacrificing Arcadia Bay. You can’t change my mind, sacrificing thousands of lives over one is never better.

-Sadly, Chloe and Max aren’t even as close as they can be, even after Max sacrificed a town for her. She let Chloe get caught with weed and slapped by David, disagreed with her often, let Frank take her gun (she had to shoot him with Nathan’s), left the money so they’re both broke, and more. Chloe’s probably a wanted criminal because she shot Frank.

-While Max has done awful things..Chloe isn’t immune, due to Before The Storm. She stole money just to buy weed from Frank, got caught with that weed and dissappointed Joyce, antagonized David more than usual, got a bloody nose from fighting a guy, got Samantha’s ribs broken by Nathan, and didn’t even befriend Skip, who we know survives!

She also told Steph Rachel was taken despite not romancing Rachel at that point. Well, she did lead Rachel on, only to want to remain as friends, only to suddenly ask for a kiss later.

She even robbed Mikey and Drew’s needed money, and let Damon break Drew’s leg and ruin his scholarship and future, only to keep the money. She also got Victoria drugged, and let her plant die. And remember that buff bouncer guy at the start, Thunder? She likely got him killed by Damon, since she ratted him out. She also failed the backtalk with Elliot, resulting in him breaking a window and making a run for it (still arrested). Annnd she ruined Rachel’s family by telling the truth..only to not have Rachel reunite with her mother.

-Bonus; They aren’t the only ones ruining the world. Sean and Daniel from LiS2 killed so many cops, shot Lisbeth, got Finn killed after shooting Merill, got a kid hit by a car, and Sean got killed in the end, basically solidifying Daniel’s villain arc for the future. David technically sent Sean off to his death, getting him that police scanner. More guilt on the man.

Alex from True Colors also ruined a whole community, left a woman emotionless, made everyone dislike her, only to stay in that community where she’s disliked, she ruined futures, and she has to see her ex boyfriend Ryan every day after he didn’t believe that his father almost killed her.

-Chloe will NOT be happy when she finds out that Max’s revenge for their breakup, was two timing Vinh and Amanda. Considering Amanda said no in one timeline only for Max to continue in the other, and Vinh was ‘taken’ by Reggie before Max stole him, Max really is messy when it comes to love. The starting screen when you choose your choices, literally has 3 seperate photos of Max kissing different people.

-We ruined Gwen and Yasmin’s careers, having them not fight for their jobs. Gwen got Alderman’d anyway and pretty much erased and forgotten by the game, and Yasmin seems pretty much unaffected by the next game, so she must’ve bribed or sucked off one of the staff members.

-Max directly got Yasmin shot, tackling Safi who was holding a gun. Smooth one, Super Max!

-Moses should absolutely not trust us after we neglected his hot chocolate, neglected his gingerbread house, stopped him from saving Alderman, and agreed to rat him out *to* Alderman. Moses is just very forgiving- let’s not forget this is the man who split the ocean in two to save humanity!

-Safi despises us, pretty much. We never trusted her, chastised her for her decisions (except supporting her absolutely unmoral use of her powers), rejected her, and told Moses we are done with her. Let the rivalry begin!

-Max absolutely should be fired for abusing her authority and lowering Loretta’s grade. Speaking of, Max called out Loretta’s bluff only for Loretta to rat us out, then just was overall rude or mean to Loretta, and caused her not to change her ways of reporting. Max is straight up beefing with her own student.

-Max is a plant serial killer.

And that’s everything the duo of Max and Chloe have done, so far! Oh, the timelines have merged..? Well, how good is that really, when we’ve made so many god awful choices in every timeline we’ve been in? We just merged our awfulness together.

Without further ado, let’s get into the actual game!

DISCLAIMER 2; Since there is not a single guide, not even the wiki, that has a complete walkthrough with the dialogue choices or even chapter names, I’ll just list down and summarize the most important events, possibly a few hidden or smaller ones, hopefully in a proper order, and organize it to the best of my ability. The events will be ordered by number. I may have likely forgotten some events and bad outcomes- I’ll leave that to you all, to tell us in the comments!

—THE REUNION BEGINS!—

1 - We start the game as..Chloe! Already pissed off because of a late band member. They know the punishment for not showing up; 50 whip lashings. As Chloe is preparing the whip, there’s a knock at the door, as the bar manager is pissed we aren’t doing our job. Chloe threatens the man, ensuring that she’ll never have a gig at that establishment again.

In Chloe’s words, there goes her toothbrush money. Her band must be *shit* if she isn’t making enough money for a toothbrush.

2 - Ah, we’re at the outlook as Max. Enjoying our life. Taking a break from causing chaos for once, enjoying our pretty pictures that don’t pay the bills, so we had to become a professor.

When suddenly, Moses calls and tells us not to come back, since apparently the academy can’t last a single day without Max around, everything’s up in flames.

Discovering that she’s missing a tragedy, Max can’t let this slide. Someone causing a tragedy..without her!? Calling up her lawyers, Max makes her way down to Caledon IMMEDIATELY to sue the burning victims for not waiting for her.

3 - Holding a bucket of popcorn, Max watches everyone and the buildings burn, with glee. She spots Noelle, the security guard who spawned over the course of the weekend, and tries to tell her to run inside, wanting to get her killed. Unfortunately, Noelle outsmarts us and runs in the opposite direction of the flames. Damn, Max is gonna have to fix that later.

Unfortunately, Max can’t allow this place to stay burnt down…as she spots her bae Chloe..being held by Moses!? Bridal style!? Being unconscious isn’t an excuse! I thought you told me you were gay, Moses! Get yo hands off my Chloe- oh shit you just fell through the floor.

4 - Before we can continue ranting at Moses, the roof crumbles and swallows him and Chloe whole. The floor split under him like Moses split those waves. While Max is fine with Moses’ fate..she can’t let this happen to Chloe! They have so much to talk about! Chloe is the one person Max loves! …Sort of.

And so..Max breaks her own rules yet again..jumping into the photo to rewind time. I wonder how this will go?

5 - Fast forward into Max making immediate headway to the college, we meet up with Moses again, who puts us through time travelling academy. I’ll do you all a favor and skip that.

6 - Max ends up having to actually do her job for once, teaching her students.

Jeannette seems to have snuck herself into our class inbetween the last game and now, and has all sorts of bright dreams! Max could rewind the conversation to make her happier with the known topics..but nah. We’ll let our student struggle.

7 - We end up coming across as a shapeshifting Safi..Yeah, It seems like her dream to assemble the Life Is Strange Avengers went to absolute shit. I wonder why. She probably got blasted by Daniel’s power down in Mexico, and she doesn’t want to tell anyone about that fiasco. Not that Max cares, since Safi declared us as against eachother since we didn’t support her.

8 - We then have to speak to Yasmin, so conveniently asks us if we’ve seen Safi. Don’t think we’re on good terms Yasmin, you *and* your daughter are on my shit list! I’m telling you nothing! Yasmin threatens us yet again in her own ‘kind way’. Damn, showing us your True Colors more than Alex.

9 - Bad news everyone. Max discovered what we were doing, and burned all of our footage, since we were spying on her through Loretta. So much evidence of her crimes, lost! Not to worry..we managed to scrape together what information we could, and we’re going to take her down. I was on your side until you did this, Max!

(This is an outright lie by me, and is just an excuse for me not remembering or finding a lot of the things notable until the end, per se. I’ll summarize big chunks and the major decisions from this point forward, to keep this list from being ridiculously long!)

10 - Speaking of Loretta..I’ll let you in on our secret; she’s our spy! She’s snooping around campus..annnnd completely failing her duties, which was supposed to be spying on *Max,* not random Caledon drama. Oh well.

Max ended up spying with Loretta on the people, only for Max to rewind so Loretta doesn’t remember. Damn it. Max is one step ahead of us. Not only that, but Max has been rather rude and distant to Loretta, throughout the game..

11 - Max ended up absolutely cheating at a bid, with her time powers. Yeah, I hope that when Connecticut gets a destructive storm because of this rewind for a *sculpture*, you’re happy, Max.

12 - Owen, the new character we’re meant to want to punch after Lucas, will be getting very rude responses from Max. She won’t try to be polite in the slightest. I mean, Owen does have a point, with Max living rent free in a large home. So many people would kill for that chance.

Then again, she’s saved your lives from a timeline evaporation, so I say she earned it.

13 - We soon..switch to Chloe! Heading into Caledon, because she’s becoming an anomaly due to Max’s time shenanigans. This girl shouldn’t even be alive right now. It’s not long before she meets Safi at least, who relates!

Sadly, just like her Before The Storm days, this version of Chloe *sucks* at backtalk. She’ll immediately fail with Noelle and pretty much get barred from campus..and we’ll even throw Max under the bus, saying she’s our sponsor before we even meet her again!

-Meanwhile, Max got herself trapped in a damn basement, with explosives ready to end her and Loretta. God fucking damnit Max, how do you get into these situations? You can’t even let Loretta die without killing yourself, so you have to be a hero for once!

What do you mean, “I’ll fix that soon”?! What are you going to do to our spy later, Max!? Loretta is innocent! ..Relatively.

14 - Chloe almost runs over Max again, just like when they first met before. I think it’s on purpose at this point..and I don’t blame her. But hey, they reunited! But they should probably relax after Chloe nearly got banned from campus before a day even passed, and Max nearly died.

..It’s gonna be awkward, considering we almost replaced Chloe with Amanda, and have only just now stopped hooking up with Vinh.

15 - Max will watch Chloe sleep and take a picture. The only things she’ll do, besides the required tasks. Totally not creepy, Max..Someone call 911.

16 - Fast forward, Max will continue neglecting her students, and won’t ask about Jeannette’s major. I mean, how could that possibly matter, riiight..?

17 - Since I can’t find a damn thing about the dialogue choices throughout the game, just assume we chose the worst ones, rudest ones, or ones that don’t give us info. For example, Chloe will start off pretty bad with Lucas..especially since he knows we’re connected to Max, who he doesn’t exactly like.

18 - How can we not call Moses’ star Urtitties? Moses, I’m sure your boyfriend would be very fascinated by Urtitties. You should show him Urtitties.

19 - Tell Safi about the fire? Hell no! Just so she can start it on purpose and take our glory!? Max is petty. She has *not* let go of their argument at the end of the last game.

20 - If it’s possible to avoid this achievement..don’t wish Max a happy birthday. Chloe is a bit bitter about the whole Vinh and Amanda thing, it seems. Or maybe it’s the fact she killed a man and Max didn’t rewind. Wait, did that get reversed?

21 - Kiss Chloe, or hold hands? Well..let’s keep trying to kiss Chloe, despite the game forcing us to rewind, because the boat *really* hates Yuri and keeps tipping us over.

22 - We’re at an Abraxas party later on. Max is still suspicious of Loretta and got her barred from the premises, so she won’t be showing up. And we ended up manipulating Reggie with time! Because of course Max does.

23 - Chloe sneaks in with her own mask, investigating in the basement. Only to see a batshit crazy moment of Reggie being attacked by a dude with a sledgehammer! Knowing this is Vinh..damn dude, attacking your ex boyfriend with a sledgehammer is wild. But good idea! Maybe I can do that to Max!

However, Chloe isn’t touching that with a ten foot pole. Last time she fought, she got a bloody nose from a drunk guy, and beat down by Damon. You think she’s charging a dude with a sledgehammer!? Best she’ll do is distract, and hope Reggie doesn’t get smashed into smithereens.

24 - Max will be an awful lover and not tell Chloe about her death. You know, a heads up would be nice. But nah! Chloe’s current smile is too good for Max to pass up.

25 - Kiss or hug Chloe..? Well you see, Max is slowly but surely getting envious of Chloe. Chloe’s becoming too beloved of a character, and is stealing Max’s spot as the main character! Max loves her, but not that much! If we’re gonna be in a relationship, you have to be a side character in my life!

26 - Hmm..that random NPC Ren seems suspicious. Chloe locks him in as a suspect!

..Sadly, her sass skills are in the absolute toilet , and she’ll fail the backtalk with Ren, looking like an absolute doof. Oh well. What could possibly be the consequences of that? Off the suspect list he goes!

27 - Chloe believes she has all the answers to this fire! Screw the evidence! Chloe’s master deduction;

It was LUCAS. Pissed off at Max for ruining his career and family, he figured the best solution was to burn her ass!

And you know what..after what Max put her through, she can’t blame him. But she can’t let this slide! She goes to tell Noelle! ..Who doesn’t trust us one bit because of our decisions. Oops. Well screw your grudge Noelle, If I don’t see Lucas’ ass in a cop car I’m getting you sued.

28 - It’s Max’s turn! Here’s the thing..She doesn’t want to necessarily stop the fire. She wants to see everything burn..But surely it’d be suspicious if so much goes wrong? Max doesn’t need this being traced back to her..she needs to pin the blame!

Vinh? Nah, Max hasn’t seen his ass the entire game, mostly. And surely he loves her enough that they’d commit arson together? That’d just implicate her’

Safi? Nah..No clues pointing toward her besides the whole adventure deal..and she seemed clueless of it when we refused to tell her about the fire! Damnit, dug ourself into a corner..

Reggie? No way. Chloe told us he was about to become sledgehammer paste, and he was being forced to move something he knew something about. Doesn’t seem reliable to pin a crime on..it had to be the dude with the sledgehammer..

Obviously it was Owen! Aha! That prick trying to take Max’s housing! The perfect man to pin her crimes on.

Owen and Lucas! What I like to call the Jefferson-hate replacement duo. Time to get their asses! And Max’s career will be secured in the process, with her two enemies gone!

29 - 🔥Let It All Burn🔥 -

Chloe’s POV!

Ah..Surely everything is done. Though despite their confidence, Moses is still an absolute moron for having him and Chloe watch the fire from *the place they originally died*. No amount of preparation justifies that, you literally could’ve watched from anywhere else.

Oh well. Time to see if Chloe can deem herself a local hero and get discounts from every bar! Her and Moses sit down, getting popcorn, preparing their hero medals…

…Only to spot Ren lighting a molotov and throwing it at the FAB building. *Shit.* Uh. Oops. Sorry about that, folks. Welp, Chloe tried to do her part. Hopefully she didn’t get Lucas arrested for no reason.

Switchover to Max! She’s walking by the burning FAB building..only to come across Owen being stopped by a cop! Aha! Her blame worked!

…Oh. No. Owen was just trying to be a hero, barreling past everyone and charging into the fire to save students, unable to be stopped. Damn. Turns out he’s a better guy than Max. ..Did this guy even save anyone?

Entering the building herself, to see if she can take photos of any burning corpses, Max then hears..Loretta! Max! You can’t let our spy die, right..? Max! Did you just fucking walk back out the building and let her get crushed by debris (yes, this is possible, I just forgot how specifically to let Loretta die)!? Damnit Max!

Back to Chloe, who saw ‘Max’ inviting her back inside the observatory…quickly realizes it’s Safi, giving reason #1 million as to why she can never be trusted. She gets us to try to leave and ditch Max, but Chloe refuses, goes into that whole Overlight thing with her, and Safi puts herself in front of Max’s gun in a memory. The most complicated suicide to exist. Couldn’t just pull a Kate and jump off the roof?

Speaking of..now we have to talk her out of it, just like we did with Kate. And shit, Chloe can’t take this. She thinks of how she was the direct reason for Kate jumping off the roof..How she shot Frank and Pompidou..Oh shit, even getting Thunder executed and robbing Mikey and Drew. Merging timelines didn’t fix *that.*

..Sadly, Chloe was distracted having flashbacks, and didn’t realize she was supposed to be talking Safi out of suicide. Kinda chose all the wrong dialogue options. Kinda quite literally told Safi to fuck off. Safi is currently very dead. Woooops. ..Well, no more competition for Max! Yay! …Man, this just made the entirety of Max’s efforts in DE go into the toilet, all thanks to Chloe.

If not blaming Safi for the fire somehow prevents this, then just blame her! Chloe has a whole emotional breakdown, crying to Max later about how she really did try to save Safi..I will admit, this did hit me in my feels. Then again, Chloe conveniently doesn’t mention she told Safi “fuck off”.

Back to Max! …She just watched a building blow up in the distance. Oh…Heh. Hopefully nobody we cared about is in that explosion!

..Later finding out it’s Vinh, damn, Max is *not* lucky when it comes to love. That’s two lovers of hers then end up dead at some point. Well, at least he succeeds in burning the evidence like he always wanted.

-We’ll talk to Noelle..wasting her time, as we don’t give her the gas mask nor warn her of Jeannette. Woops. If possible, have Max both discover where Jeannette is (look at the board) AND find the gas mask..but don’t tell Noelle about either. If this is possible, this is prime evil activity.

Anyway, there goes the security guard and our neglected student.

Not to mention she let Anthony the poet suffocate from smoke, just like the vision..yeah Max, you very much so failed everyone. She doesn’t seem too upset though, because she got to finally save Chloe from death, due to Safi’s damn cigarette causing a fire (damn it Safi, this is why you took a bullet)! Yet again, Max has thrown everyone into the storm/fire, and yet is able to save this one girl..but hey, maybe Chloe deserved something good in this route!

30 - Ah..That is..a very full memorial board. Max failed to save every building and person. Like holy hell, she may have actively made things worse. “I’m gonna make the rounds”, Max says, in the empty as fuck bar.

Safi’s dead, Jeannette the sweet D&D player dead, Loretta crushed under rubble, Noelle dead, Vinh blown up, Owen dead (we don’t even know if he actually saved anyone like Noelle, as far as we know, this dumb jackass ran straight into flames and burnt immediately), Anthony the Poet dead..Goodness gracious. Ren, you’re going to jail for *life*, that’s serial manslaughter right there. Even if Vinh wasn’t your fault, the cops don’t have to know that.

And Safi apparently quite literally died back in DE because of what she did. And Max’s efforts are again, all for nothing.

The literal only student of Max’s that lived was Reggie. And he’s probably not doing well considering recent events, his crush Vinh being dead, along with the fact Max kissed Vinh in front of him before.

Hm..Diamond called. Doesn’t seem to care much about what happened with Safi. And refuses to tell us about her adventures and abilities, since the devs forgot her..You can’t escape forever Diamond! I’ll turn your life into a tragic route next!

—CONCLUSION—

-Ah..At least Max and Chloe are together…As lovers or friends? I’m really not sure on this route with our choices. Let’s just say it’s ambiguous.

Max and Chloe are out on the road, very traumatized as the two of them have caused yet another set of deaths. Then again, they’re acting as if only a couple of people died. Probably trying to maintain their own sanity. They ‘saved’ Arcadia Bay with the merge, only for this to happen..Yeah, they should stop fucking with time. Literally *everything* went wrong and they failed in every aspect.

Moses sends a letter to Chloe..which he will soon regret. Like, a lot. Because with that philosophical letter is a photo..that Max can use to turn back time, to fix things again.

And Chloe looks at the photo..And you know what? She suspects that maybe, Max isn’t the best person. She saved Chloe, yeah, but..she cares for nothing else. Nobody else..And Chloe can’t bring herself to be responsible for anymore loss, because of Max’s selfishness! She’s not even sure if she’s a wanted criminal for Frank’s murder still or not, because of time shenanigans!

As much as it hurts her..she has to get rid of Max. But Max could easily end her if she’s too obvious. So she gives the photo to Max..leaving the choice to her, to ‘fix things’.

..The next day, Max is gone. And..Chloe is alone. In this timeline..Max chose to leave her, to play around with that horrid day of the fire. Leaving all of those corpses behind for Chloe to be haunted with. To save people, or end more? Chloe will never know..and that’s not the most painful part. Max is forever gone from the timeline, as Max is the only Max there is. But you know what? Chloe had to make that sacrifice. If Chloe’s life wasn’t meant to be sacrificed..then it was her heart. And she’s ready to make that choice, to redeem herself for her wrongs. Maybe Max gets caught in the next timeline, exposed for her powers, and burnt at the stake for everything she caused. Or maybe not? Infinite possibilities, afterall.

..By the way, Amanda got reaaally lucky surviving by default. I wonder if its possible to have her still have feelings for Max in this route..affecting her as well, when Max is gone for good.

And that’s it everyone! The horrid timeline of the LiS world is complete. And you know what? We did pretty well, showing how the powers can cause tragedy at every corner. Arcadia Bay may be saved..but at the cost of everyone at Caledon. Not to mention countless lives were ended in the journey of Sean and Daniel. And Alex? She ruined the peacefulness of a community.

Just for Max herself, to dissappear from our “final” timeline, now on her own adventure that we won’t see. Does she regret what she did? Does she want to save people, or kill more people..? We’ll never know. Max escaped us..but that’s for the best. As we may have never been able to beat her..though we did render her efforts in both games pointless.

…Alright, corny dramatic shit done. How did you guys feel about that awful timeline? See the previous parts if you haven’t! So, the book is officially out. What did people like, dislike, love, or hate about it? Any thoughts or reflections on the book?

I skimmed through it pretty quickly since I have almost no time for reading these days, but my first impression was that the yearning, at least, was really well done. But hopefully I will have time for a longer and more in depth read later on

i just finished it last night and did anyone else feel like they were waiting for the game to finally take off and run on all cylinders? Like i didnt find it terrible (like how some of these reviewers made Double exposure out to be) but it was also not great.

After the initial intro with Safi , Max and Moses i was expecting the game to slowly ramp up and keep ramping up until it reached its peak and would then ride it out the way LiS 1 did and to some extent LiS 2, cause at least imo True Colors suffered from the same effect it felt like it never took off and was just doing preflight checks while waiting on the Tarmac, things were happening and getting done but it still felt like it wasnt truly doing much.

As you all may know...I finished the entire series..last month.

But LiS fever is real...its only been a month..and I wanna play it again.

I have two options...either wait and begin TWD in mid Oct when my exams finish...or play it again as soon as my exams finish.

What should I do?

Nine years ago today, Square Enix and Deck Nine released Life is Strange: Before the Storm, taking us back three years before the events of the first game and putting us in the shoes of Chloe Price. Getting to play as Chloe again, but seeing her at such a different point in her life, is what makes Before the Storm so special to me. She isn’t the same Chloe we meet in the first game. She’s angry, hurt, lost, and trying to figure out how to deal with everything that has happened to her in the last 2 years. But then Rachel Amber enters her life.

Rachel, not just as the mysterious, almost perfect girl everyone in Arcadia Bay seems to admire, but as an actual person. Someone complicated, emotional, rebellious, loving, and deeply affected by the people and world around her. The game does such a good job of showing how Rachel became the person she was, while also making you question how much of the Rachel everyone talks about was really who she was. And then there’s Chloe and Rachel themselves. Their friendship, their connection, and the way they become so important to each other in such a short amount of time is something I still think about. Chloe was already struggling to find somewhere she belonged, and Rachel became one of the few people who made her feel understood again, seen again.

Before the Storm isn’t just a prequel to me. It feels like a story about two people finding each other at exactly the moment they needed someone. It’s about grief, friendship, identity, growing up, and the way the people we meet can completely change our lives even if they aren’t there forever.

Nine years later, I still love these characters, this story, and the feeling this game gave me. It’s easily one of my favorite gaming experiences of all time, and no matter how much time passes, Life is Strange: Before the Storm will always have a very special place in my heart.

What are some theories that you have from LIS 1, BTS and LIS 2 that still hold some merit and weight today, after all this time.

Even from where we are at now with the recent games in the 2020's, I still think there may be something in the lore that has carried over. I'd be intrigued to hear your thoughts.
