Yo guys, just wanted to discuss base building and how we think it'll be implemented in LNF

Obviously, it will be similar to NMS and how it works in that, but a general collection of inferences or speculation regarding what we do know based off that could be nice.

Do you guys think Terrain manipulation will be possible considering it's a larger singular planet, there could be fair reason for there to be a larger layer of dirt beneath the ground until you reach an impassable barrier. I find the idea of it having internal core features like a core of the planet accessible by digging unlikely, but i think tunnel networks may be more likely. And in turn would the terrain refill after a threshold or patch similar to NMS or should we be encouraged to dig hobbit holes.

What limits do you guys think there should be to how much can be built like a structure count ala ark or specified buildable area ala palworld, or similar to no man's sky with it's 3000 component limit per uploaded file, which building beyond wont show up for others. Should groups be able to collude and build more for projects?

How close do you think would be accurate to build to a settlement or hub like the one shown with the rabbits? If too close or too small theres always griefing opportunity or immersion ruining of beginner areas, should land claim be wide or would you prefer a setting with a max limit?

Given the option of PvE (or pvp) style attacking of a base with the base owners consent as a preplanned action for some type of reward, would you like to participate in that kind of tower defense gameplay or allowing of RP "sieges" on eachothers homes and would you like to see it included?

Finally, what kind of structure or base would you want to build to add to the world and call your own addition?

Maybe the vertical slash represents the development process of Light no Fire. The tree represents the release date. Once it’s chopped off, LNF will be released. But the vertical chopping is taking some time since it’s a new technique.

last night i had a dream. sean was on a huge screen apologizing for the long wait for new content and also saying sorry for not being able to be present, he was a little sick. then proceeds to explain himself the new features they have already added and some others yet to be built. i was in such joy that did not pay attention to all, but it was definetely him playing the game on the screen and talking about the features. At some point he was doing something close to combos fight style and a while later build a herd shelter at the back of his house, very careful build style, able to place wood and stone exactly where he wished to.

also the whole stage and crew were using only one color, something close to yellow/brown/orange or mixes.

Don’t mind me, just begging on my knees for the Axe Queen so she can chop my balls off.

today, while flying from London to Altschauerberg I have met the chef of hello games (forgot his name). He did ask me if i knew no man’s sky. I replied with “yes”. He asked me then if be a fan of his creations and if I where a good boy. I replied yes to both questions.

He then said: “Let me show you something.” He pulled something bulky out of his pants: A Switch 2. He then showed me something Beautiful on it: Light no fire. It was beautiful. Even more beautiful than the birth of my first son. I cried. The Hello Games-Man whispered in my ear: “It’s ok. I know it’s good.” After he showed me some gameplay he gave me the switch.

He then said: “It’s the only copy of LightNoFire. It’s now in your hands to finish my destiny.” After that he went to the toilet. I never saw him again.

So I played Light No fire. And what should I say: It’s pretty average. The world looks nice, the combat is a little bit stiff. The base building is pretty nice and I like it, that it resembles Minecraft from its gameplay pace.

/s rip Gamescom but for real hope they show up at TGA atleast, it's time to show something and give a release date.

This is the final stretch, we’re doing a gamescom summoning, and once again I’ll keep it relevant to Light no Fire. Since we didn’t get anything significant for the 10th anniversary, we’re hoping for some updates through COSMOS. There’s an assumption in the community that this could happen during gamescom, and considering LNF was revealed during TGA (also hosted by Geoff), this would be the only event to say something about LNF outside of TGA in December. So if we don’t get anything during gamescom, that means we’ll most likely have to wait till December. I will be invoking Geoff’s name in this summoning but it might not work if he’s with Kojima while he’s scanning someone’s feet since I’ll get distracted, but it should be fine.

SO LET IT BE THAT LNF AND HELLO GAMES APPEARS AT GAMESCOM ON TODAY'S EVE! ALL HAIL HG AND THE SEANEST OF THE MURRAY'S

I'm asking this because party sizes will make or break the game for me.

If it's anything like NMS. And anything over 4 people together starts to feel buggy. What is NMS now? 20/24?

What will be the maximum players they put on one server?

One world does not mean one massive big server.

I see people fantasies about kingdoms, but a kingdom isn't a kingdom with this amount of people limited to one place.

And a building entity limit to a certain area.

Anything from 50 to a 100 is an amazing step forward. Although I'm building sky castles now. I do not believe we will get close to 50.

The world could feel really empty and lonely after a while.

Let's hope it doesn't 🙏

Hey, I wanted to share something I found on a game key site... the site is called Gamesplanet, and for *Light No Fire*, you can already see 25 Steam achievements—including their titles and images. What do you guys think? Did someone leak this?

I just saw a video about the Cannonball Run, fyi: a race/time trial from NY to LA. Then I got an idea. Would it be possible to build a massive highway across the world when LightNoFire releases? If so, a community built road along with road side attraction, events like days long races(assuming we could get a land vehicle at some point considering the scale of the world).Yea, I know we'll be able to fly. It's just a thought that crossed my mind.

Do you think the NMS Cosmos update will maybe contain something that hints us toward LNF?

I remember the developers said that a lot of the new stuff we've recently got in the No Man's Sky community is directly a result of trying to get LNF presentable.

Thoughts?

Do you think they'll keep their lore fully seperate; partially seperate; or full integrated?
