This is a really stupid question and kind of goofy but I’m so curious that my curiosity trumps my embarrassment.

If you had to pick 5 police officers from the entire series to solve the mystery of the OCG / H, they can be dead, alive, incarcerated, fired, corrupt, whatever, who would it be?

Personally, I’d go with,
DI Denton,
Danny Waldron,
Kate,
Dot,
And probably DCI Huntley.

I think these characters are a mix of extremely intelligent (Waldron, Kate, and Denton) and very strategical and logical (Dot and Huntley). I think these 5 would have no trouble solving the case as a group.

As a massive LoD fan, I've been working on building a site to map the locations used in the series. It's taken me a good few months, but I just finished mapping Season 6. Most of this was achieved by putting my OSINT skills to use, plus some local knowledge from friends in Ireland.

Just finished this for the first time. Really really enjoyed but was so underwhelmed with who H was.. maybe more to come from the next season OR do we want them just to leave this H thing behind?

Also can anyone recommend any shows that are similar and worth a watch?

For someone who is meant t8 be straight as a die, Arnold is always being disrespectful, not listening t9 orders, shagging around etc. Would love him being H/4th man/bent.

Why bother to keep Laverty's body as leverage against Gates when all they had to do was threaten to kill him or his family? Not only was Laverty doing the firm a good business in money laundering, it's also a huge risk to keep a body in a freezer along with a knife (which had probably lost prints on it due to moisture anyway) This always struck me as a bit of a plot hole. (Not to mention letting Ryan Pilkington in on it too)

Can we talk about the actor they hired to play Dale Roach at the hospice when Steve visited? Why did they pick a 25 yo with glass skin and blond hair. That scene was really bad.

No offence to the smarmy Buckells, but I think DC Morton being H, with the same under-the-radar lifestyle, would’ve been more fitting.

He doesn’t splash cash, he has no problem living behind a secret, and he’s just charming enough for you to sort of like him and find him harmless, even though deep down you know he’s a piece of shit.

He was present and prolific in season one, essential to keep Dot’s cover in season 2, and threw Dot under the bus when he became a liability in season 3. Not to mention the fact that “H” started ramping up activity once DC Morton took a desk job, and even more so after he retired.

And that immunity deal he signed when turning over Dot? I bet he’d utilise that much better than Buckells did.

A key part of the plot of S3 is Dot and Steve searching Danny’s flat. Dot finds a gun and a note

He then tells no one to enter so someone firearms trained can disarm the gun(and the fact he wants to nick the note)

Is Steve not firearms trained? Could he not disarm the gun?

Potentially a micro plot hole, although I am probably reading too much into it

• the unraveling of the OCG/Police connection into less effective splinter groups (Tommy Hunter's death)
• the discovery of Dot/The Caddy
• the list of names of the paedophile ring being re-discovered
• Jo Davidson seeing a possibility post Tommy Hunter's death to recruit Kate Fleming in...and therefore reveal decades of police corruption that she knew or was involved in.

Apologies if this is a stupid question. It's from S3 episode one. Danny meets that woman in the pub and they exchanged numbers. We later see that the woman Rachel sent a text and he deleted it and got emotional after. I'm confused as to why he did that and is it supposed to say something bigger about his character?

Maybe it’s my OCD talking, but does it bother anyone else that the regeneration plates (car number plates) are only faked in seasons 4,5 and partially season 6? I get the reason for doing it (as the creator said on X) but the fact they stopped faking them for most of S6 is weird considering the creator directly addressed it!

Why was Denton constantly terrorised throughout Series 2 over the ambush that killed Jayne Akers and 4 other coppers??

We all know Dryden set her up by putting her on ghost rota and she shouldn't have even taken that call but it was all put on her!!

The prison scenes were way over the top in my opinion, those 2 prison officers must have been working for the OCG or something when they scolded her hands over talking to AC-12, who were interrogating her over the ambush!

If someone could provide some clearer insight that would be appreciated thank you!
