Hey y’all! I just moved back to Marin and would love to find somewhere that has a list of local events. In the other places i’ve lived I would find listservs or something like that for event guides. Is there something like that for Marin? I can’t find one on google but if anyone has any recommendations i would appreciate it :)

Seen a few posts on Nextdoor, but from what I can gather from Nextdoor and public minutes:

• longtime councilwoman and former Mayor Pat Ravasio disclosed confidential information from a closed session
• The town manager Adam Wolff reported the Brown Act Violation
• Ravasio seemingly retaliated and got him fired
• After review the town attorney is recommending that they pay Wolff 9 months severance for termination without cause, costing the citizens of Corte Madera another 4 months salary
• A third party law firm has been engaged to investigate, costing the citizens of Corte another 10-12k
• there is a town meeting 9/1 with open session that includes some of the above and a closed session that includes consulting with an attorney on the brown act investigation and for some reason a performance review of Adam Wolff

I’m hoping the Marin IJ gets the full scoop but I will be tuning in to the meeting for sure. Small town politics are wild!

I have lots of experience in tree work I've worked for in Santa Rosa, Kincaid Fire and Butte fire I've worked in Clearlake also I've worked on caltrans project for on hwy 29 and hwy 16 cleaning brush on side of hwy. I have lil bit of experience with customer service working in Bodega Bay art gallery.

I recently changed my identity and want to continue working in customer service or something light not physical and I have been applying at every Craigslist job post and gigs but nothing work wise out of 42 emails sent I only got 3 in person interviews and 1 FaceTime interview. But goods new is mostly gigs do actually respond and I get lil cash but I don't want that I need a real job so if u know of anyone please let me know!! DM for my info and resume

They are just the most delicious right off the vine, $6/lb and more than you could possibly eat. Squash, kale, basil for days. Hate seeing these go to waste, they are just gorgeous and Draper is a hidden gem. We love that our kids can see food growing out of the dirt right in our neighborhood.

30F here. Does anyone have recommendations for where to meet and socialize with other sapphic/lesbian folks in Marin? I'm recently based in Woodacre and would love to build community :)

Now that we are stuck with this useless train for the next several years, something needs to be done with the light timing. Rather than prioritizing the train, the signals need to have the trains follow a strict crossing schedule, not inconveniencing everyone trying to travel through the city.

Trains should come to a complete stop right before they enter downtown, this would ensure they cross into the train station when ready to cross.

Having an inbound and outbound train enter and depart at the same time is not working. It seems one train is always never ready to depart and is creating an absolute traffic backup nightmare. Nobody should be sitting at a train crossing for 8 minutes during rush hour.

As the Smart Train has low ridership in and out of downtown San Rafael, this has a significant negative impact on so many people, including everyone at the transit bus station.

Time to flood the Mayor’s office with Emails about this, as we can’t continue on like this.

I know there was an accident yesterday but this whole week has been awful. The stretch between Costco and Terra Linda has been pretty much a parking lot all week. My commute has been 25-40 minutes longer every day this week. What’s going on? Why does it feel particularly bad in Novato but seems to clear up as you get to larkspur?

How I wish they would expand smart :/
