I am 28F 5’2 150Lbs. I take a birth control (mini pill) 20mg of Lexapro, and prenatals. I do not smoke or drink.

This issue started a week ago and I have gone to the doctor. The urgent care. And ER. I’m still having so many issues.

So it’s started with uncomfortable rectal pain. Me and my babies have been sick and I figured since I had lots of loss stool that caused an issue. The urgent care doctor said it was an Anal fissure and prescribed Nitroglycerin ointment to use.

I waited two days and went to see my primary care doctor. Since by this point I was not getting any better and it was starting to itch and drain puss. She then prescribed me clindamicyn for it and told me it should heal soon. She never looked at it.

Sunday came and I was in so much pain. I couldn’t sit, stand, or walk without wanting to cry and scream. I had my husband look at it and he immediately told me to get into the car and that he was taking me to the ER. My rectal area was purple, green, swollen, and leaking so much puss. He said it also had a very bad death smell.
The doctor in the ER looked at it and told me I never had an anal fissure that it was more than likely a heat rash (due to me sweating from having a fever then breaking it) that has now developed into a serious severe “diaper” rash. She also told me that I was more than likely allergic to the nitroglycerin which has caused the bumps and infection.
All she told me to do was to use a peri bottle and to put diaper cream on it. Then to take ibuprofen and Tylenol for pain.

Well I have done that and today I can’t tell if I am the same or worse. I’ve cried so many times. I’ve gone through two big tubes of diaper cream (Destin). I’ve gotten to the point where everytime I go to the bathroom I will basically rinse off down there and lay out to air dry. Then slab on the diaper cream. The Tylenol and ibuprofen haven’t worked. I’m still in soooo much pain. I have basically tried laying on my stomach, but I can feel heat radiating off the area and it’s throbbing so very badly! Trying to walk and get around is a no go. My husband has tried getting me to eat, but I’ve had no appetite and end up throwing up because of how much pain I’m in.

Where do I go from here?? Am I ever going to get better?

I still have drainage, blisters, my skin around is peeling off, it’s swollen, and it’s still purple green and red. My pain went from being a 5 to now a 9. I would rather give birth with Pitocin naturally again than deal with this.

Do you have any recommendations? Do I go back to the hospital? To the urgent care? The doctors??

Hi everyone! I feel kinda dumb for asking this, but I’ve been stressed for days now.

I went to a lake for the first time, Lake Thunderbird in Oklahoma, on Saturday for a birthday party. I got on a Sea Doo with a friend and we ended up flipping in like 20 seconds or less. I swallowed a lot of water and I’m sure a bunch went up my nose/I inhaled some too.

It was super unexpected. The next day, Sunday, I started having GI issues (discomfort, nausea, bloating, diarrhea, anorexia), but I also took an antibiotic that day as well. I started having a headache yesterday, Monday, and I still have it today, Tuesday. However, my GI issues are better. Should I be worried about Naegleria fowleri/the “brain eating amoeba”?

I’m a hypochondriac, who gets the occasional headache anyway, and it’s difficult for me to tell when I’m blowing things out of proportion or when I need to take my thoughts seriously. I worry more because of the heatwave that we’ve been suffering through.

Before someone says it: I didn’t know of the risk factors or how to prevent it before going or I probably wouldn’t have gone 😭

On Wednesday, August 12 (today is August 31) my 4 year old boy woke up and said he couldn't walk and seemed like he was legitimately in pain. He said it was his right leg - he would move the other leg alright. (no falls or injuries). He laid around most of the day - I remembered that my friend's kids had bouts of transient synovitis where they couldn't walk for a day, but it cleared up. I was assuming this was the case for him, since it was the right leg, he did have a cold a few weeks before, and he was in the age range for it. But still, we did take him to Urgent Care that night since it was not improving. He didn't want to be moved to a new position (in the car seat) but eventually seemed fine being seated that way. They saw him and never said anything about synovitis (though I did mention it). They sent us to the ER. At the ER we did X-rays. Those all came back normal. They really didn't give us much advice but said they could put in a referral to a pediatric orthopedic doctor.

The next day, I had an appointment with our pediatrician's office. (We went to Urgent Care because our pediatrician's office couldn't see us the same say.) The nurse practitioner who saw us (or regular doc was out of office) said she suspected synovitis and that we could do bloodwork to rule anything else out if he didn't get better. He was still refusing to walk or bear weight on the leg. But he did start crawling around, knee walking, scooting, etc. He would do a little climbing but mostly with his upper body or knees. But his mobility seemed fine and he seemed to not be in pain anymore.

Well, by Saturday he was still not walking so we told him if he didn't walk we would need to get a blood draw. He still refused to even TRY to take a step or stand, so we got bloodwork done. Everything came back normal.

Monday rolled around and my oldest child happened to have his yearly doctor's appointment with our actual pediatrician, so since I had to bring the 4-year-old anyway, and since he was STILL NOT WALKING, we asked him to check him out too. The doctor checked him out and examined his leg strength and mobility and thought that he was just scared to walk after having a hurt leg, and to take the pressure off of getting him to walk and that he would start again.

Well, after another week of not walking, we went to an orthopedic pediatric doctor who did one more X Ray (looked normal) and also thought it is possibly behavioral and to just come back in a week. (we go back tomorrow).

BUT MY CHILD STILL HAS NOT WALKED. He won't stand. It makes potty time very hard and obviously just life in general difficult. I try to get him to still do most things on his own. I try to bribe him to try to walk. We picked out balloons and I said I would make him a cake to celebrate when he walks again. I offered to take him to the zoo, the park, anywhere if he will walk and he straight up refuses.

Has anyone dealt with anything similar? He is supposed to start preschool next week (he did preschool last year too so it's not brand new) and I really need him up and walking and I am terribly concerned.

I heard something about it putting too much strain on the liver

Im 22, on 15mg methotrexate a week. Male.

I had two new prescriptions last year (four months or so between them) and Ive just gotten a new one about a year after the last.

I had perfect eyesight as a kid, until I turned an adult, so I just feel its weird that there's been so many changes in just 4 years.

My eyes themselves are structurally sound though.

I just dont want this to be caused by medications Ive been on previously. I was on cyclosporin for two years (either 23 or 24 months)- I know in the US they say 12 months for cyclorporin for eczema, but the NHS has different guidelines I think.

I think my eyesight started getting worse around the time that my eczema severely flared up - which is why I started cyclosporin and now methotrexate. Could there be a connection there?

Today I accidentally ran over some road kill and about 20 to 30 minutes later got out of the car and the back of my leg touched the underpart of my door and I felt something wet the, the area where the car passed over was the driver side, I showered and hour later or so after realizing, I first thought nothing of it since I checked and didn’t see any blood so I assumed it was nothing while showering I washed both of my legs and washed my hands but I might’ve touched my face so I’m scared I could have spread it through there I’m really scared I’m scared could someone please help with this.
