Re:Mine is a small, curated modded survival SMP inspired by Re:Zero, built around exploration, character specialization, challenging combat, and player-driven stories.
This isn't a roleplay server, and you don't need to be a content creator or experienced roleplayer. It's simply an SMP where the systems and world are designed to give players more interesting reasons to explore, specialize, cooperate, compete, and occasionally make questionable decisions. :)
What makes Re:Mine different?
Unique powers
Players can rarely receive Divine Protections, powerful blessings granted by the world itself. Some are common and relatively simple, while others are extraordinarily rare and can completely change how you play.
There are also Authorities, exceptionally powerful abilities inspired by Re:Zero. These are intentionally scarce, so having one is a genuinely significant part of your character.
Magic specialization
We're using Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks as the server's primary magic system, with additional spell content and progression.
Rather than letting everyone become a master of every spell, players specialize in different schools of magic. You can still use other schools, but your affinity determines how effectively you can wield them.
Powerful spells also require actual progression through the magic system, so finding an incredibly powerful spell doesn't immediately turn you into a walking nuke.
Skill-based combat
Combat uses Epic Fight, giving fights more depth than vanilla's "jump and hit something until it dies."
There are also additional weapons and combat content, while deliberately avoiding mechanics like crystal PvP that don't fit the server.
A world worth exploring
The world uses enhanced terrain generation, expanded caves, structures, bosses, and other exploration content.
Some powerful items and resources are intentionally restricted or obtained through specific quests, bosses, events, or other progression paths. The goal is to make discovering something powerful actually feel meaningful.
Not a global Minecraft server
Re:Mine isn't designed around everyone knowing everything that's happening. A lot of information is intentionally local: chat uses proximity, player nametags and death messages aren't broadcast globally, and advancements won't announce everyone's accomplishments to the entire server. You'll have to actually talk to people, explore for yourself, and hear about things from other players rather than getting a server-wide notification every time someone does something interesting.
The goal isn't to hide information for the sake of hiding it, but to make the world feel less like a multiplayer lobby and more like an actual world you're living in.
Player-driven world
Build a settlement. Become a merchant. Join a group. Build roads between communities. Become a mage, warrior, explorer, or something completely different.
You aren't required to follow a predetermined storyline. What happens on the server is largely up to the players.
The modpack
The pack is currently around 100~ carefully selected mods, rather than being a massive kitchen-sink pack.
The majority of the mods exist to support a specific part of the server: combat, magic, exploration, building, transportation, quests, performance, or quality of life.
Some notable mods include:
- Epic Fight (Reworked combat)
- Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks (Magic spells)
- Hah! Ueuh~ (Protections & Authorities)
- Envelope (Pigeon messaging system)
- Terralith/Tectonic (Terrain generation)
- Infinity Cave (Cave generation/progression)
- FTB Quests (Quest system)
- Via Romana (Transportation)
- Simple Voice Chat/ChTR (Prox chat)
- and various performance/QoL mods
Who are we looking for?
Re:Mine will be invite-only/whitelisted. I'm deliberately keeping the playerbase relatively small so we can avoid the usual problems that come with completely open Minecraft servers.
You don't need to be an amazing builder, PvPer, roleplayer, or content creator.
What I'm primarily looking for are mature, chill people who actually want to play with a community.
If you're someone who enjoys:
- Exploring and discovering things
- Building alongside other players
- Creating your own character/playstyle
- Working together on projects
- PvE and challenging bosses
- Magic and RPG mechanics
- Making dumb decisions with friends and seeing what happens
...then you might fit in pretty well here.
Interested?
If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, fill out the application below.
I'll look through applications personally and invite people who seem like they'd be a good fit for the community.
