So I am on the juice for roughly 2 to 3 weeks.

I went from bare cheeks to.. still bare cheeks but that is of course to be expected after such a little time.

However when I zoom in on my cheeks, I see these tiny hairs.

Are they actually vellus hairs which can grow into lasting hairs, or am I saying bs?

I am blonde, and the rest of my facial hair is too (I can grow a decent moustache/goatee) - so it is hard to see these little hairs on my cheek without actually zooming into my skin + having the correct lighting. (See the 2nd image where the pic isn't zoomed in on my skin)

I’ve never used it before but I would like a full beard lol. This is about 2 weeks of growth on the sideburns and cheeks, I usually shave it and keep the goatee. Should I wait a few months then see what growth I have and decide then or just go for it. Because surely I won’t get any new hairs in those empty spots only those hairs will grow longer?

I used Man Matters 5% minoxidil (alcohol-free, water-based) for 3 months, and it worked well for me. I started seeing good growth.

However, after about 3 months, I suddenly developed red bumps and a lot of itching on my skin. The itching was really bad, so I stopped using minoxidil. After stopping, my skin gradually returned to normal over the next 2 months.

Now I’m starting minoxidil again, but this time I’m trying Mintop, which is alcohol-based rather than water-based.

I’m wondering if the previous reaction was because the water-based minoxidil contained propylene glycol (PG), since I’ve heard that PG can cause irritation or allergic reactions in some people.

So this time I’m going to try Mintop and see how my scalp reacts.

Has anyone else experienced something similar with water-based minoxidil/PG and then switched to an alcohol-based version? Did it make a difference?

I have been using 5% topical for a week and Minoxidil makes me feel strangely relaxed. It's this light headed feeling like when you drink a tiny bit of alcohol. I also have a strange pulsing around my head from time to time though it doesn't hurt.

I read that topical minoxidil has low chance for side effects but then I am growing hair everywhere so it's certainly there in the system.

I have normally higher blood pressure but it's still in the norm.

Hello! I started my journey last August 20 and I'm almost at my 2 week mark!

I have some questions regarding Minoxidil and would like to be enlightened. For reference, I am 24 and Asian. I didn't know my father so I don't know whether his side of my family could grow facial hair or not. Without minoxidil, I could grow patchy moustaches and hair on my chin.

1. I use foam and due to certain reasons, I can't chill them before using and I live in a humid area so the foam becomes liquidy. How much do I apply if this is the case? I've been doing 1/4 of a cup when the foam gets liquidy (I typically use 1/2 when its in its foam like state) is that fine?

2. Based on your own experiences, how long does a 60g can of foam minox last you?

3. Kinda confused with the term "peach fuzz" and "vellus hairs" Is this peach fuzz? If yes, I'm just curious when everyone started noticing theirs to thicken

As I understand it, DHT is the primary hormone responsible for the maturation of facial (and body) hair follicles. For those of us (myself included) who are experiencing limited success using minoxidil alone, why isn’t there a topical product that includes DHT/ a DHT-derivative? Additionally, wouldn’t this be an ideal option for people taking oral finasteride who are still looking to improve facial hair thickness? That way, DHT’s effects could be localized without becoming systemic.

Man I hate how long it's taking to mature, lol. But we're getting there. Months 6-10 I saw next to no changes, then the last 2 months I've seen a lot of progress.

14 months on minox 2x a day and my cheek hair still looks thin and light as hell. I got some coverage compared to where I started, but it's super wispy.

​The thing is, my leg and body hair are the exact same type—thin, light, and sparse—while my mustache and goatee are dark and thick. Since my natural body hair and cheeks share that same texture, is there any actual chance this stuff will ever darken up or thicken, or have I completely maxed out my genetics?

​Should I keep slathering this on or just call it quits? Anyone else dealt with this?

Been on foam about 9 months, just started tret last week and my oral prescription is turning up in a day or two.

Any opinions on a routine having all these 3 things going at once?

Foam is 2x a day, tret is 0.05% and have used it once last friday and none this week (no redness or dryness) . Oral pills are 2.5mg. I know some guys dose up to 5mg a day. Is the only difference in doses length until results?

How long until anyone saw results starting oral whilst already on topical? I know everyone is different, I'm just curious.

I started adding Tret finally after almost 11 months due to… well slower progress than I Initially expected. However at the counter they offered 0.018% and 0.025% solutions, and I decided for the weaker one to see how my skin would react. It’s been around 3 weeks of nighttime usage for 4-5 days a week and I have no irritation or dryness whatsoever.
Which potency do some of you use, what are your overall experiences and would you recommend switching to 0.025% once I’m done with this container?

Hey! So I've been using topical liquid for the last 1.5 years, and had incredible results. One grievance is the amount of flaky skin it causes between the drying period and the time before I put on moisturizers.

I just got a prescription for 2.5mg Minox in pill form, I am wondering if anyone has had success transitioning fully from topical to pill, or if there is some transition period where I am supposed to use both.

I have new kittens and have been on minoxidil for 8 months. I’m noticing good progress but I’m worried about using topical minoxidil ( foam) because of my pets.
