The box has been sitting under my sink for a few months with one of the tubes removed. The inside is covered in what appears to be a spray or tracks of some liquid that has dried. Or is it a type of mold?

Whatever this is, it is not on any of the tubes, so it seems to have been there from before the tubes were placed in at the factory.

My husband and I have been living in our apartment complex for two years and we love it however, recently there was a pipe leak that caused water intrusion into our unit. It was ongoing for ~2-3 weeks before resolved.

It's not bad at all, but there has been a good amount of moisture detected (60-70% now down to 30%) around the kitchen island with plans of remediation.

I also recently found a spot pictured below in our pantry that looks like mold.

We've lived in mold before and our whole family was very sick especially my cat that has asthma. When we first moved here, his asthma stopped. He hadn't coughed in over a year until recently... it's not nearly as bad as it was but I'm a wreck over it.

We had a fan and dehumidifier in here. But couldn't run them consistently due to our cats asthma. I believe that's what really triggered it.

We really don't want to transfer to another unit because we made this one our home and the others are not the same layout wise. Also because it's Florida and who knows if there's mold in the other unit too..

So would you trust that the company that the apartment complex is bringing in (it is a mold remediation company) can fix it and prevent further issues or leave immediately? They're cutting out the areas that got wet, treating, and rebuilding.

I'm trying to trust it but due to our history I'm petrified.

I let my chili simmer and cook on the stove overnight and woke up to find this stuff on the surface. Can anyone identify if it’s mold or not?

some context: i had a leaky roof and that was where drops of water would drip done on rainy days, it was fixed but this remains. it’s in my room so not much ventilation except for when my door is open. family says it’s nothing but idk :(

I got this a few days ago and have kept it in a paper bag rolled up, it’s midnight and I really wanna eat it but don’t want to risk eating mold, idk it kinda looks like flour (please be flour I’m hungry)

Hi everyone I’m not sure if this is the place to post this. But I have this lemon pig (the one in the photo) that my mum wants to put in the bin but I don’t want to get rid of him he seems to have some mold in his ears and maybe just a tiny bit on his nose, what are the options do I need to put him in the bin can I store him a different way? Right now he just sits on the kitchen counter and I think my mums afraid of him so I want to find out how to store him before he ends up in the bin

I'm not even sure how this many different mold species could erupt from one melon but as soon as I saw this I thought you guys would appreciate it

So context my friend and I went paddle boarding in the lake had my wet clothes in a bag and instead of washing it right away I was very dumb and left my clothes in the bag for a few days and then put said wet clothes in my laundry basket in which started molding and I can physically see the mold grow on my other clothes but I'm not sure about the ones not showing mold, my question is how can I clean those to make sure those don't have mold ? or should I just throw them all out ? unfortunately there was a ton of clothes with the molded ones which I already threw out but I kept the ones that didn't show mold . need help please.

I was attempting to make lactofermented pickles. I’ve had success in the past, and this is a first for me.
Look at this super cool mold!!
It was on the surface, above the glass weight that holds everything in the jar down.
I scooped it off and the underside was even cooler!!

I like blue cheese but don’t know the science of how they make it. I know that it’s a good mold and not a bad one, and through the process of making it - it is created naturally. I was just wondering because of how beautiful some of the colors are it’s astounding
