For me I thought they could have at least made a sequel of MY COUSIN VINNY with Judge Haller getting in trouble in N.Y and Vinny comes in as his lawyer to help him out.

Then maybe a third movie when he has to work a case in England.

Then there is Denzel Washington time travel movie Déjà Vu. It had such a unique version of time travel that wan't time travel that I would have thought of it getting sequels, maybe even a TV series.

I know very little about what makes films great. Can someone help me understand why the diner scene in "Heat" is so iconic?

From my limited perspective, it's just two guys chatting, with background diner noise and activity. I know it's greater art than that, but I don't understand what makes it great.

Rewatching 12 angry men and this movie has quite a lot of close-up talking heads, but like EVERY time juror 9 is talking, it's the super duper close-up looking dead into the camera.

Why they do that?

Since they unalived James Bond in the last movie, what if instead of rebooting the franchise, they continued in the same universe and the new movies showed how the British Government would have to carry on after James Bond has died... would that be interesting movie premise?

Just rewatched the ending and it hits so hard. When Batman says, You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain..it wasn't just a line it became his reality.

He literally sacrificed his reputation, his freedom, and his legacy just so Gotham wouldn't lose hope. He knew Joker would win if Harvey's turn into Two-Face came out. Taking the blame for Dent's crimes just to protect the ..White Knight" image and the Dent Act shows why Batman is the ultimate hero. He didn't care about glory he only cared about Gotham...Truly a masterpiece ending

I feel like even if the the movie is very good and have great acting i still dont want to watch them because of their "modern look" i tried to watch modern movies but i cant just continue.

I always felt older movies look better,even a boring movie from the 40s,50s,60s,70s,80s,90s,early to mid 2000s is better than a good modern movies just because of their older look or visual style.

The only modern movies i ever watched are the hateful eight and the revenant and i really liked them but as always the modern look is making them look bad.

Does anyone feel the same ??

I’m watching Airplane 2 and there’s multiple scenes with a woman’s bare breasts. It is rated PG. I was told before that Gremlins 2 and Temple of Doom were envelop pushing enough that it caused the creation of PG-13.

I just don’t understand how those two movies caused it but Airplane 2 didn’t? I feel like bare breasts make a movie R nowadays.

Last we saw John Wesley he was brought to the surface by Willy who showed his humility instead of letting him drown in the net that trapped him then Randolph and Jesse pull him from the water as Wesley’s men looked on stunned completely unaware of a boat approaching operated by the coastal marine patrol and catching them near their whaling equipment, Wesley’s men were I’m guessing arrested. After giving Wesley to the officers where he was given a blanket to get warm after being in the ocean an officer would approach him and read him his stack of charges. The Botany Bay Wesley’s ship looked like it was being towed as Max reunited with his father.

On the way inbound to the docks Wesley was given his one phone call with a phone the coastal marine patrol give him and he calls his wife. Upon arriving either to the docks or police station Wesley’s wife was already waiting with a lawyer. A coastal marine patrol off would tell her they’ll need her son to testify before a judge of everything since Max saw everything that happened. How would Wesley’s wife react to seeing her husband in cuffs as her son is brought before her. Once in court what punishment would Wesley face? Could his lawyer work a deal to work with The Noah the boat that Jesse and Randolph work on to help show the whales movement patterns so they can track the whales and keep closer eye on them or would the judge dismiss that and give him the maximum punishments?
