Do you think that hot pursuit2 was the debut journey of street racing for Razor before he headed to Rockport?

I just bought the game and it is really hard to get rid of the heat 3 cops while in starter cars or just slow cars in general. Any tips for pursuits for slower cars?

Love it when you just zone out and let your instincts take over in NFS 2015. Driving the Nissan 180SX Type X in Action cam is just heavenly.

For the first time, I took a photo of my pre- Underground games together (including copies from my childhood and ones that came along later). I even included the V-Rally games. I realize that Motor City Online is absent, but for the discussion, that one is included 😅 For those who grew up with these games or came across them later, which one is/was your favorite?

Regarding the “main games” in the series, I think these days, I play High Stakes (PC), Porsche Unleashed (PC), and Hot Pursuit 2 (PS2) the most often. Of the three, I think Hot Pursuit 2 is objectively the best because it combines tracks that are great for both races and pursuits, a strong car list, a great soundtrack, stylized graphics, dozens of challenges, and fun gameplay. Need for Speed II/II SE might be the most nostalgic for me, but it’s also the one that might have held my interest the worst over the years (the SE version was an improvement, but it still seems incomplete).

Old / new NFS player here, played most entries starting with first one up to Shift 2. Took a long break from the series. Recently played and finished Heat and liked it, now playing Payback and having fun with it. Looking to either get NFS 2015 or Unbound afterwards.

I read that NFS 2015 has quite poor handling, and is online only, meaning once servers are shut down game is gone. Handling in Payback is not the best, but serviceable once I got used to it. Is handling in 2015 worse?

As for Unbound, I did try it for few hours on game pass couple of years ago, but didn't stick with it. Cartoony effects, while not a fan, didn't bother me as much, and I understand you can turn them off now? Story was kind of cringe, which is probably what put me off. Is it worth giving it another shot, assuming the game gets better after the initial tutorials / introduction?

Not looking at Hot Pursuit remaster, want an open world game.

A reason to why the team underwent a restructure, change and expansion: the previous admins lack of availability to joining contributors like me, CIVIC (modder), Ryden (experience in discord servers), Grabuss (NFS+ developer), and more.

The person mentioned above is ALSO not in the Admin team (as of now, he got downgraded) due to concerns related to his messaging and a separate case emerged from his friend's digital/messaging footprint on Discord. We taken disciplinary/rule action, we have chosen not to disclose details.

AND TO BE CLEAR, [u/Alert-Transition-735](u/Alert-Transition-735) is NOT the subject of the undisclosed allegations I mentioned earlier.

Just so the community here is given a little backstory. This is NOT the first time a Discord server was created for restoring multiplayer functionality to Rivals. We had one before, initiated under another Reddit post, however it was not part of the post itself but rather the comments section.

So, our focus for that old one was to privately invite skilled people to determine the projects feasability, and we had a bit of that going until the user mentioned at the top came along and made a public announcement, accepting people in the masses. The sudden influx of members and contributors became difficult to coordinate. Messages went unanswered, responsibilities were unclear, and several interested contributors eventually left. This restructuring is intended to prevent that from happening again.

The biggest hype build-up for the Canary Services post was the misleading claim that the project was "in development".

In the context of reverse engineering the Blaze/EA Authentication layer Rivals has AND its AllDrive system? That's work that requires research, pseudo-data-mining techniques, knowledge base and tons and TONS of testing. Thats something I'm trying to do. Vibe-coding and AI analysis ARE PART of this and have helped significantly with progress/tesing, we are being TRANSPARENT and HONEST about it. We’re going to accept people with C++ / ASI / net-code familiarity.

RivalsNET (Canary Services) is no longer being run by the mentioned person, and I DO NOT want anyone to cause trouble, begin targetting anyone because of this.

Had a huge itch for racing games and decided to continue NFS 2015 and get the platinum. My cousin and I were extremely hyped for this game back in 2015. I played for 20 hrs and dropped off of it for whatever reason.

I had a ton of fun playing this game. It gave me the rush I was looking for, and the post game challenges seem like they’re gonna be really fun. I’m excited to eventually get to Heat. I see many say that Heat is a great improvement. What are some of your pros and cons of each game when comparing the two, and what changes/differences I can expect from Heat?

Took me 41,5 hours and was a bless to play. Except for a few moments in a buggy multiplayer though )

The most rare achievement was to win off- and online Interception event on the Veyron SS, only 1,5% of players have it.

I definetly will play it in a future again, especially with friends in a voice chat. Just have fun will be enough reason for me to hop on again <3

Nfs 2015 with no hud and a stock car with just a big ol turbo in it is such a vibe late in the evening just cruising but not going to fast that you really have to pay attention to the road, i just wish more people would pick it up again.

I decided to launch Need for Speed Unbound in Lockdown mode. I found a session, but the game itself kept getting stuck on an endless loading screen. Ultimately, the game crashed, and all my progress (both in Story Mode and Online Lakeshore) was reset to zero. Most likely, after the game crashed, the save file was simply written to a new one after I entered the game, not knowing that the progress had already been reset. I wanted to platinum the game (get all the achievements), but it looks like I won't be able to. The only option left is to start all over again, but I won't do that, waste days again to go through some drift zone or find graffiti and bears all over the map. I have to play boring races again to unlock cars that cost me over 10 million in game currency. Fuck you nfs

I followed a guide made by Warped Polygon on the latest 4.1 version of the mod one by one carefully, but after I get into a race this happens
