One-word graffiti!
A true (weird) gem from a gas station bathroom today — carved right in the spot where your legs will always show it?

If you are a listener of Never Post, we want you to not fill out this survey.
What we want you to do instead is to find the people in your life - your butler, your kindergarten teacher, your toy sailboat enthusiast pals - who don't listen, and send them this survey to fill out.
We want to know why they don't listen! And what might tempt them! And what makes them tick! And if, by any chance, they might be able to help us understand how to be attractive to more people.
TL;DR - help us swipe right on your friends and family.

Fantastic episode, Hans!! Much needed discussion / analysis! Loved the (eyewear) costume change motif! Thank you for this one. Love you all.
‘Tis in the member feed, in case you’re not seeing it. Four bucks well spent, even in this economy.
Unrelated embroidered Mary Oliver quote graffiti just to have a photo accompaniment, seen in Portland, OR. The stray apostrophe is killing me but I love it anyway.

Because of timezones, I am trailing (drafting) behind the neverpost crew on the streams and this vod was particularly good, so I thought I would cross-post (illegal double posting) it to reddit.
Just in case any of the reddit baddies (jail) have missed that the stream week has commenced and it is really, really fun over there!
Mods, please delete if not approps :3

After listening to the new episode today (AI At Work? In This Economy?), I was largely relatively heartened by the folks resisting AI implementation at their workplaces, especially Leanne's story! I've been trying to work in my own field to help folks learn non-AI tools, too, and it's rewarding, if frustrating sometimes.
Overall, this latest episode is one of quite a few that Never Post has done where there's been serious concerns, thoughtfully entertained, about AI and its very real dangers, pitfalls, and traps... which makes me wonder about Slow Post, and the decision to keep producing it with AI voice models. The most recent episode (June 2) says that the model was made with permission, and the music was human-produced by Hans, both of which I appreciate, but the existence of AI Mike still gives me the anti-AI heebie jeebies, a whiff of the uncanny valley, and makes me wonder how that circle gets squared, on a show that seems to give valid, broader concerns about AI such weight and care.
I love the pod, I just personally choose to skip Slow Post episodes, since they're made with AI tools, and was wondering if anyone else has complicated feelings about them, too. I'd personally rather listen to them, and would be okay taking them less frequently, if they were made with real voices. It seems like feedback is always handled with good faith and care on mailbag eps, as were the interviews on this week's ep, so I hope this comes off as the earnest curiosity/feedback it is!

So I started compiling all the poems since day one here.
It definitely needs some editorial work to make these look nicer but I have a whole job and little time. If y'all (mostly Mike) sees this, I'd love to know more about the creative process of picking them. I love them and love poetry but I struggle trying to read more of that style without anyone recommending something specific.
Please pray that the copyright people don't get mad at me for putting those together.

Senior Producer Hans here.
We need help with an upcoming episode!
We are looking for folks to tell us their stories of using AI at work.
Specifically, do you have a story about a moment where AI was brought into your workflow by a colleague (either mandated by the organization or not) and you had to reckon with it?
For example, did a colleague suddenly say in a meeting "So I asked ChatGPT..." and you had a reaction to that? Do you feel like that has been normalized in your workplace? How does that feel to you?
Or a moment where you had to relate to how you use AI in your job - are you forced to use it, or are your colleagues using it and you’re not sure when it got decided? How does that feel?
Or are you all in? Is there a moment where AI proved itself a necessary addition to your workflow and ability to get your job done?
Respond here, or... send us a (short) voice memo at our Airtable. We may reach back out, or use your story in our upcoming episode.

I have a longstanding hobby of photographing graffiti and other street art and street writing. This means I often get to watch spaces change in real time. I affectionately call sites like this one, where something has prompted multiple people to respond/iterate, “groupchats”.

I found this piece on taste interesting after Georgia’s recent story. Rather than the ‘user’ perspective, looking at those who believe to have cultural capital and have no taste and don’t know what to do with it.

I've just started listening to OnlyFantasy, the new podcast by Leon Nayfakh (Slow Burn, etc.). It seems like it's getting at a very similar thing to what I did in February with Pornhub Goes SFW. So far I'm enjoying his going more in-depth with creators and actually talking with fans.
Curious if anyone else has/is listen(ed)(ing)?

In the latest Doom ep, Mike mentioned how he'd be streaming some of the stuff discussed in the episode: mods, total conversions, etc.
The first of those streams will be next week, on Friday June 12th, @ 10am ET. Find us on Twitch.
The first thing we'll stream is a gentle introduction to source ports, and then we'll look at a few of the games discussed in the episode. At the very least, Hell Shots and Doom: The Gallery Experience. Perhaps others if there's time! The VOD will be available for a limited time after streaming, and then for Members Only after that.
In future streams, we'll look at a Doom level editor, MyHouse.WAD, DRRR and eventually: Quake. Mike suspects there may be at least 3, and up to 5 total Doom Streams.
We'll also be streaming an Editorial Meeting this Friday, June 5th @ 11:30 AM ET, also on Twitch. During this meeting we'll talk about a few stories we have in the works, begin some planning for this year's Member Drive and go over some changes we're making to our release schedule, and the member feed. Exciting stuff, not to be missed!
